At Yorkshire School of Martial Science, we are dedicated to providing expert martial arts tuition in karate and kickboxing. Our programs cater to all ages and skill levels, focusing on many of the key benefits of martial arts including, but not limited to, greater confidence, more stamina, increased flexibility, mental resilience, weight loss, self control/self discipline focus/concentration, conflict resolution, life saving self defense techniques and the list goes on, in a nutshell, better physical and mental health. Join our community and embark on a journey of growth and self development. Our dedicated team will strive to encourage and motivate you in achieving your goals, whatever they may be. Empower yourself or your children to become better versions of yourself/themselves in one of our classes near you. Our classes are tailored to beginner, intermediate or advanced levels. We pride ourselves on being accesible to individuals from school age upwards and families should you wish to train together. At Yorkshire School of Martial Science we believe in inclusivity, whether that's a Special Educational Need such as Autism or ADHD or a physical impairment. Classes across North, South and West Yorkshire, including York, Huddersfield, Barnsley, Leeds, Rotherham and Holmfirth.

Outstanding teacher and mentor
Adam Goodison is truly a wonderful teacher of karate. My daughter who is now 13 has been attending his classes for 5 years. It is undeniable how much her confidence, perseverance, self-esteem and self-discipline have grown as a result. She enjoys attending and looks forward to her karate lessons every week. Adam's teaching goes beyond karate skills. It is clear how much loves and cares for the children he teaches. I see him do everything he can to help them grow individually and collectively and he treats each and every one of his students with respect and appreciation.

This school is amazing
This school is amazing. When teaching children Adam has the patience of a Saint! He relates to them regardless of their individual abilities or challenges.
When teaching adults he adjusts seamlessly. There is a great friendly atmosphere with lots of fun and interesting exercises to continually improve people’s techniques and understanding

Brillant
At YSMS, my beloved "not-easy-going" son found his right place for doing sports, - is very happy! As parents, so are we,- lucky with the club, and Adam is an excellent instructor, caring and thoughtful.

Our children have gained much confidence, new skills, friends and a sporting opportunity to compete through this club.
Thanks to the wealth of experience & knowledge the Chief Instructor (Adam) has put into my children.
They are growing up to be the smart, self confident individuals. 🏆

YSMS is a great school
YSMS is a great school. My children wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else. Their teacher, Adam, is stern yet fun. He will push yet is patient. He won’t do what many other schools do and up a belt because they’ve been so many classes. He makes sure they’re ready before giving them their next belt. No cheating in this school.
His passion comes through his teaching. He wants to get the best out of his students. In doing so, his students has a high level of respect for him.
Great school.

Her confidence has boosted ,which is great effect i have noticed.
I would definitely recommend if you want someone who is interested to teach your kids good karate..
