The cleaning itself was standard, I did notice dirty marks/ water marks on the window after a clean but nothing major (this is probably due to them using a pole brush instead of a proper ladders and squeegee eg)

The main reason for the 2* is the chaos and struggle it is to communicate/ cancel the cleans/ stop their service. Due to this - I will not use this company again.

I have cancelled the service in June 2026, and now received an email/ text stating the window cleaner has cleaned by windows and they need payment (I have moved out, which they already known hence the cancellation).

Previously, when I first cancelled the window cleaner, no-body got back to me for a while and in that time, a window cleaner came out to clean the windows (we had moved out so was not happy I had to pay for this). It is not until after this, where somebody got back to me and agreed to cancel our subscription.

After the cancellation, I had received NUMEROUS emails and texts stating I owe money for a clean and for myself to pay it - I had to (again) chase this up, it was an error in the system and had duplicated the error messages to myself.

Prior to this, our direct debit was cancelled for unknown reasons therefore, we had a back log of payments due, once paid off, I was still receiving text messages multiple times a day to pay these - again I had to chase this up.

To summarise, I would not recommend this service and do not think it is worth all this hassle. I will not be returning.

The process for this was so simple and easy to do online. Our first cleaned happened to be whilst we were away on holiday and Joshua was really helpful and accommodating. He let us know when he was nearby and we could arrange with him to access the property. The windows were really clean, even a week later we could still see the difference, the window sills all look great too. Really good service, communication and value for money!

Absolute disgusting company! I have told them I don’t want their service anymore and they confirmed they’d cancelled my account. I have been charged twice for a service I have never received. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. Even when they did clean my windows they only did half of the house and left them still dirty. I don’t know how they’re still trading.

Josh is very friendly and professional, he always does an excellent job.

I worked for this company for six months, and unfortunately, I can say it was one of the worst employment experiences I have had.

At the beginning, a number of promises were made regarding what the company could offer and the level of support that would be provided. In my experience, the reality was very different. The support and organisation I was led to expect simply were not there.

One of the biggest problems was the management of workloads. The number of jobs assigned could be unrealistic for a single working day, yet employees could still be criticised for not completing everything. This was particularly frustrating because the system regularly contained duplicated, previously completed, or cancelled jobs.

For example, I could complete a property on a Monday, only for the same job to reappear on my list on Wednesday. Naturally, I would not return and carry out the same work again unnecessarily, yet removing or cancelling the duplicate could then be treated as evidence that I had “skipped” or failed to complete a job.

The same issue occurred with customers who had cancelled. I would report that a customer had cancelled, but the property could appear on my list again the following day. I would report it again, only for the same thing to continue happening. In one instance, this continued for approximately seven weeks and had still not been properly resolved by the time I left.

There were also duplicated jobs appearing on the system. I was not prepared to carry out unnecessary duplicate work or potentially charge a homeowner twice because of an administrative or system error. Nevertheless, these duplicated entries could contribute to the impression that work had not been completed, despite the legitimate job already having been done.

What made these issues particularly difficult was that they were communicated to the company. Management was informed about completed jobs reappearing, cancellations being repeatedly reassigned, duplicate entries and unrealistic workloads. In my experience, however, these concerns were not properly acknowledged or resolved. Employees could then be criticised for problems that appeared to originate from the company’s own systems and organisation.

This is ultimately why I believe the operation is very poorly managed. There appeared to be a significant disconnect between the expectations placed on workers and the practical reality of completing the work in the field.

After I raised criticism about these issues, my contract was ultimately terminated. From my perspective, this reinforced my concerns about how constructive criticism and feedback are handled within the company.

Based solely on my own six-month experience, I would advise anyone considering working for this company to proceed with caution. Clear communication, realistic workloads, accurate job allocation and management that listens to legitimate operational concerns are fundamental to a functioning workplace. Unfortunately, those were areas in which my experience fell considerably short.

I can only speak from my personal experience, but I did not feel that I could place confidence in the management or feel secure in my position, and that is not an environment I would personally recommend.

Absolute scam. I signed up, I had a text to say my windows would be cleaned the next day. The next day the money was taking from my account and I reciebed a receipt however no one cleaned my windows. I called the customer services who promised me they would send someone out early the week after and it would be a free clean. How can it be a free clean when I had already paid. Anyways no one come, and now I am being ignored ive had to start a charge back through my bank for my money back avoid at all costs

Joshua messaged early to let me know a 2 hour window(no pun intended) that he'd arrive to clean my windows.... most operators just leave you sat in waiting . Arrived when said and cleaned windows ..no complaints

Joshua is the only reason I am giving this company a high review. He was so friendly and did a great job. But the company is not great to deal with. I think this lad is keeping them open to be fair.
I signed on in May and never got contacted or cleaned. I rang the company many times and no answer..sent texts and emails and no response for months. Suddenly in August I got a text they were coming. Again tried to call and text back and no response. Joshua rang me and hour before to tell me he was on his way. He gave me the clean free of charge and apologised, but the company never contacted me still. Funny enough they answered my call after he left. Well Joshua doesn't normally do the Wigan round, he was filling in, so I'm not sure about keeping the service. But well done Joshua. You deserve a medal.

Very disappointing experience with YourLocal. This was supposed to be my first window-cleaning appointment, scheduled for yesterday, but nobody turned up and I received no proper explanation or notice.

What makes this even more frustrating is that I was still charged on my card for a service that was never provided. As a first-time customer, this is a terrible first impression and certainly not the level of service I expected.

I expect the full charge to be refunded. Very poor communication and customer service — I would think twice before booking with them.

SCAM SCAM SCAM.!!!!!! Really bad customer service sent an email twice telling them I don’t want their services anymore and no one replied. 2 weeks ago I spoke with a cleaner asking him not to come anymore as I will not pay them. Was shocked to receive an invoice this afternoon. There is NOWAY to speak with someone. When i subscribed last year i said I want a cleaning every 4 weeks now they are coming every 2 weeks. Please RUN AWAY!

Not only were windows cleaned superbly but the fact that the company texted to let me know they would be coming the following day was very helpful. Joshua rang on the day to give me an appropriate arrival time which was very useful. I would strongly recommend this company.

Left all water markets on my window and back bedroom window still got same marks onit after he clean it and frames still dirty
