I love the visuals from the videos that help the information stick in your head!!! Very helpful for studying the exam. Love the podcast and all the helpful real world examples!!! Definitely given me more confidence in preparing for the ARE Exams!!!

I've just started studying for my exams about a year out of grad school and all of the information i've seen that young architect has put out has been so helpful for the exam and in my career/job. 10/10 resources and notes, and really happy about it being free to self guide and work at my own pace. Thankful for you all for starting this!

There is nothing out there better than the Young Architect’s material & variety of learning methods they offer. When tired of reading or watching videos, it’s always a nice change of pace to take a brain break and just listen to a podcast style study material. It just reinforces the material into one’s brain! I especially love listening to their podcasts while driving or going for a walk.

As someone working in design, I really appreciate how authentic and encouraging this podcast is. The hosts share their experiences openly, including the struggles and successes, which makes the content feel very relatable. Every episode gives me something to think about and helps me stay motivated in my studying. Definitely worth a listen if you're working toward completing your ARE.

The podcast episodes are great resources on every topic that I am learning for the ARE exams. They provide a two-pager overview with wonderful illustrations of the subject which I can use as my quick reference while studying the books. Providing notes and a podcast for learners that struggle to read a textbook from cover to cover is extremely heplful. Having a lesson to listen to while studying is beneficial for auditory and visual learners. It's great that the content applies to both architect and interior design focused exams.

I have enrolled in YA Academy’s April Bootcamp, in 2026. This amazing program build by Michael Riscica and his team gave me enough confidence to pursue my ARE license exams. I truly appreciate their contents, practice exams, case studies, meetups, overall whole package. Most importantly, the visual representation of this robust study guide is mind blowing. I would recommend to everyone who is seeking for ARE license, to enroll in YA Academy.

I’ve been using the Architect Exam Podcast and the free two-page study notes while preparing for the ARE, and they’ve become one of my favorite review resources. I really appreciate how some of the most important and sometimes confusing topics are broken down into much simpler concepts without making the explanations feel overly complicated.

The two-pagers are especially useful for quick review. I love the ones that incorporate diagrams, colorful drawings, comparisons, and exam tips because they make concepts much easier to remember visually. Topics like acoustics, fire-rated assemblies, HVAC systems, insulation, concrete, sprinkler systems, joints, and plumbing have all been explained in a very approachable way.

Another thing I really appreciate is that they seem genuinely open to hearing what topics ARE candidates are struggling with or would like to see covered next. It feels like the content is being created with actual candidates in mind.

I’ve used several different ARE study resources, and I think these free podcast episodes and study sheets are a great supplement to more comprehensive study materials—especially when you need something concise to review a concept again before moving on.

Definitely worth checking out if you’re studying for the ARE!

The added and ongoing support that YA provides is worth signing up just by itself, not to mention all the valuable resources that YA give you. I am so thankful that I made the decision to do the bootcamp. Yes I am still struggling, but so many others are as well. But knowing that I have the help get me to that finish line is priceless.

Everything was very easy to understand and well formatted. I appreciated that the videos were a good length to target what I was hoping to.

Participating in a YAA ARE Bootcamp was my kickoff to studying and successfully passing the PjM exam. I’ve been in practice more years than I care to admit but lacked a clear game-plan for how to start. The Pro Practice Bootcamp framework coupled with the PjM 101, Contracts 101 and Building Codes 101 courses in combination with the ARE Podcast and weekly coaching + meetups are without a doubt a great foundation to build from. End of the day you have to put in the hours, get the AHPP readings done for the exam objectives, do some practice exams and gobs of practice questions to solidify your knowledge. My decades of prior practice experience had built up to the realization that it was time to (finally) start taking my first licensing exam. Mike and the rest of the YAA team- Layla, Lorenzo, Emily and Destiny all are there ready to offer support and encouragement throughout your journey to licensure. I just wish I had found them years ago because I might already be licensed if I had!

I have been using YA Academy products for a while and the one i used the most is the podcast and it has been a game changer. Really good information given and they give you a 2 page summary with great graphics and explanations. They are a great resource through and through. Would recommend to other!

Young Architect is fantastic! I’ve been using their YouTube videos and podcasts to study and they are very helpful. They are well articulated and get you to the meat of the content. Definitely check them out!

I'm working with the City of Glendale and currentily studing for my NCARB exams, finding the sources for me to study and pass exams, and completing the exams. my goal is to compelte this year. therefore; i am studing at night and weekends with young architects 101, your tube videos, and books to reference.
