YogKulam was a beautiful experience. The teachers were all really amazing, and each of them brought something completely different but always the teachings went back to traditional Hatha yoga, which is what I was looking for and why I chose this school in Rishikesh. The rooms were comfortable. In January it is cold so not much could be done about the weather but the school provided heaters and blankets. The food was really good, all homemade and fresh ingredients every day and lots of variety. The school is surrounded by the Himalayas and a short walk to Mother Ganga. There are many cows and friendly stray dogs around the area and it has a real authentic Indian feel with local cafes where you can get Masala chai and many Ayurvedic stores close by. We moved after a week to the new school because of heavy construction and the staff were incredible. They moved everything from one side of the river to the other in one day and made sure we were accommodated for. I am very grateful to all of the teachers who made this experience worthwhile. The extra add on Ayurveda certification was completely worth it, and was one of my favourite classes. I hope to return again next year for my 300 hr ytt. Would highly recommend this school and India has a special place in my heart forever.

I had a great experience with Yogkulam for my 300-hour certificate in November 2023. Everyone at the school was very welcoming and friendly, I truly felt at home during my stay there. The teachers are very knowledgeable and both the practical and theory classes were highly beneficial. There was so much to learn, and still so much to learn! Thank you for this wonderful journey, I learnt a lot about myself and truly loved my time in Rishikesh.

I don’t know if Rishikesh Yogkulam is the best Yoga School, but for sure it was the best one for me. It can be the best one for you if you are searching for a school that will provide you with great quality information both practical and theoretical, a good, clean place to stay (you don’t have to stress about cleaning because they even provide that) amazing food and wonderful staff 💕 The school is located in this dreamy mango garden, surrounded by nature. From time to time monkeys and toucans will come to visit you, check your progress 😂 and there’s even a friendly peacock 🦚. Everybody is really helpful, always there for you, from people that “take care of you” before your arrival (I’m the kind of person that has a lot of questions before going somewhere) to people that are in the management team, to the teachers that never seem bored for teaching same or similar things over and over again (I felt like everyone was teaching their first classes in terms of enthusiasm not content or quality of information) to the people that clean and cook for you. They’re all working in union 💕 I liked the place so much that instead of doing just a 200h TTC, I prolonged for the 300h TTC. In the end, spending two amazing months there. I’m really grateful for everything I’ve experienced at Rishikesh Yogkulam and if you’re lucky enough you’ll get to do it too. I could write an entire novel about my experience there but I’ll stop here and let you write your own one. Namaste 🙏

Studying at Yogkulam was a wonderful, once in a lifetime experience for me. I am so glad I took this month to do my 300 hour training. All of the teachers were fantastic. The yoga was challenging, and I really learned so much on how to improve my practice and guide and adjust my students. I loved learning pranayama breathing techniques—my students are loving the “breathing I brought back with me from India!” I learned so much in my philosophy class—I am continuing to look back at my notes and read more about the origins and practices of yoga. Meditation class brought some peace and connection at the end of each day. I made sure I went on all of the optional excursions on Sundays from hiking up mountains to see sunrises at temples to white water rafting on mother Ganga. Acra yoga on the beach was so fun as well. The sense of community with the other students, the wonderful staff, teachers, and even the families and others who live nearby was amazing! The food was good and nutritional—they are able to cater to vegan and gluten free. There is dairy for those who partake. It is a short walk to the Beach and shops. Amazing place! Amazing experience!

So glad I chose to study yoga at Rishikesh Yogkulam :) Great teachers. The 200hr YTT program was well-run and I felt supported throughout my learning journey. Thank you so much!

I'm saying thank you from my heart to Amit, Ella, Manraj and all the teachers for this unforgettable experience.
I loved my room (clean, comfortable bed, hot water), the common spaces like the dining area and the yoga hall, the tasty and healthy food, the experiences in the week-end (rafting on Ganga, escursions), the Christmas dinner all together, the ceremonies.
It was my first yoga teacher training and I am really satisfied with the content of the matters and especially with the competence and humanity of the teachers.
Thank you again, hope to be back for the 300 hours :)

Ho partecipato al corso di 200 ore presso yogakulan in India e voglio condividere la mia esperienza. Il corso era rivolto a chi voleva approfondire lo yoga e vivere un'avventura indiana. Il corso era molto ben organizzato, con una buona alternanza tra lezioni teoriche e pratiche, meditazioni, escursioni e momenti di relax. Ho imparato molto sullo yoga, sia dal punto di vista filosofico che tecnico, e ho potuto sperimentare diverse pratiche e stili. Ho anche avuto l'opportunità di conoscere la cultura indiana, visitando templi e mercati.
Una delle cose più belle del corso è stata la possibilità di incontrare persone speciali, provenienti da diverse parti. Mi sono sentita a casa con loro e abbiamo condiviso esperienze indimenticabili. Un ringraziamento speciale va a Ella, Agni e tutti i professori che mi hanno insegnato con passione e dedizione. Mi sono sentita a casa con tutto ciò che era diverso e ho scoperto una nuova famiglia.
La camera era carina e pulita, con tutti i comfort necessari. Il cibo era buono e vario, e c'era sempre acqua potabile a disposizione.
L'unico aspetto negativo era il rumore delle costruzioni che si sentiva in continuazione, sia di giorno che di notte. Questo a volte rendeva difficile concentrarsi e rilassarsi.
Nel complesso, il corso è stato un'esperienza fantastica, che mi ha arricchito sia a livello personale che professionale. Consiglio vivamente questo corso a chi vuole approfondire lo yoga e vivere un'avventura in India.

Ho frequentato il teacher training da 200 ore in questa fantastica scuola, è stata un esperienza meravigliosa di crescita personale, consentendomi di approfondire lo studio di questa disciplina, con i migliori maestri che un amante dello yoga possa desiderare. Thank you Rishikesh Yogkulam for being my family and support during my time in Rishikesh. The organization and staff is amazing and believe me when I say it since I have been to other schools as well. You can feel the foreign touch of Ella which will make you feel at ease, listened to, and the friendliness of all the members of the staff. The teachers are so prepared and I just feel in awe when listening to them from Mandeep Ji to Dr.Lata Ji. Panku and Jitu do amazing asana classes and Dheru funny alignment classes (very strong and disciplined teacher in asana as well). The whole team makes you feel at home and I'm grateful for my time there, it has been a profoundly learning experience and I feel I have a home in India too which I will cherish for life❤

I had an amazing and life-changing experience at Rishikesh Yogkulam. I did the 200H YTT last month. I recommand this school because :
- courses were of high quality and teachers really knowledgeable
- food was healthy and delicious (mostly Indian food but also western food from times to times)
- staff was super kind and try to help for any issues we had (they organized a Christmas dinner, they lent us saris for the graduation ceremony, etc ...)
- many extra activities were organized for free (excursion to meditation cave, healing bowls session, rafting, etc.. )
- the promo of 14 students each month is perfect to create strong relationships with everyone

It is hard to put into words how wonderful of a time I had during the training. The teachers, the dorms, the food, the atmosphere. If you’re looking for a great training program, this is it! They are professional, helpful. It was easy to book (I booked last minute they were quick to respond) and helped arrange transport which makes its smooth getting there. Highly Recommend 10/10

My 300hr YTT was a very special experience at Rishikesh Yogkulam. I was lucky enough to spend both my birthday and Diwali there which meant the celebrations lasted most of the month!

I really appreciated the efforts of all of the staff for making the stay so comfortable. Danesh and the team ensured the rooms were clean and the whole shala was always tidy and safe and welcoming. The food was excellent and varied. The staff were readily accessible for any questions and needs including assisting with recommendations and booking of external services as needed (massage/astrology etc).

The course itself was comprehensive with all of the teachers hand picked and specialised in their subject. We practiced asana twice a day morning Hatha then afternoon Astanga, then the rest of the day was filled with other classes including pranayama, philosophy, anatomy, yoga therapy, teaching methodology, meditation. Thank you to all of the teachers for sharing your wisdom and passion with us.

I had never been to Rishikesh before so this was a lovely way to discover the city and surrounds. It felt almost like a holiday more than a teacher training. I enjoyed the community feel and the joyful vibe. The activities that they included were excellent and well worth doing (sunrise temple, meditation cave, aarti ceremony).

I highly recommend this school. I felt supported by the teachers and my fellow students to learn and grow in a safe space. It was both an educational development and personal healing journey.
