Informasjon om virksomheten
Skrevet av virksomheten
Xtrait Perfumery was born from a lifelong passion for high-concentration fragrances. What began with a single bottle, a gift from my mother, soon grew into a deep fascination with the world of niche perfumery. I found myself diving down the "rabbit hole" of artisanal craftsmanship and the evocative storytelling behind every scent. After years of traveling to New York City just to experience these rare olfactory works of art, I realized there was a gap to be filled right here in Central Connecticut. Knowing there were other enthusiasts seeking the same high-caliber experience, I founded Xtrait Perfumery to bring the world's most exceptional scents home.

Thank you, Cory — it genuinely means a lot that you keep making the trip from out of state. Recommendations are my favorite part of this. Tell me what you've been wearing lately next time you're in and we'll find the next one.

Absolutely flawless experience from start to finish
Ordered three bottles from them, Lyric, Radanfor, and Musc Sables, and the entire experience was fantastic. All three arrived in perfect condition and were packaged extremely well, with everything protected and secure. Shipping was also impressively fast, which made the whole purchase even better.
You can tell they actually care about getting orders to customers safely and quickly. Everything about the transaction was smooth and professional. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and I’ll absolutely be ordering from them again. Easy 5 stars.

Thank you, Juan — Lyric, Radanfor and Musc Sables is a seriously good trio. Packing orders properly matters to me; a bottle that arrives damaged undoes everything else. Delighted all three landed safely, and I'll be here whenever you reorder.
— Kevin, Xtrait Perfumery
Great experience overall!
The selection was fantastic, the purchasing process easy, and shipping was prompt, and everything was well wrapped, so there was no worry about the bottle being damaged. I would certainly shop here again, and would recommend them to friends.

Thank you, Amy. Careful wrapping is non-negotiable with glass, so I'm pleased it reached you exactly as it should have. And thank you for recommending me to friends — that's how a shop this size actually grows.

This place is great
This place is great. I love going there with my grandkids who are very in to Colognes. They have SO many to choose from and owner is always ready to help you. He has excellent insite on all the fragrances helping guide you to what you are looking for.

Thank you — and I love that you bring your grandkids in. Helping people find their way through fragrance across two generations at once is easily the best part of running this place. See you all next time.

Thank you, Sherrice. Tracking down the bottles nobody else stocks is exactly why I built this collection, so I'm really glad yours turned up here. Let me know what else is on your list.

Svar fra Xtrait Perfumery
Thank you, Renee. Carrying the harder-to-find bottles is the whole point of the shop, and quick dispatch is the easy part to get right. Glad to hear you'll be back.

Fragrance at its finest.
Where do you start? First of all the space is extremely clean and inviting. Kevin is a dream to work with on fragrance, his passion is palpable. His inventory is always expanding, keeping pace with an ever growing selection. I'm collector and I will go way out of my way to visit the shop. I visit shops in every state I visit and Xtrait is absolutely one of the best.

Svar fra Xtrait Perfumery
Thank you, Matt — coming from someone who visits shops in every state they travel to, that's high praise. The space and the constantly growing shelf are both deliberate, so it's good to know they land. Always worth the detour to come say hello.

Great place to discover your next signature scent
Kevin the owner is stand up guy, very knowledgeable and truly cares about this niche. I would recommend everyone to stop by and smell before you buy. Truly a great experience.

Svar fra Xtrait Perfumery
Thank you, Luis. "Smell before you buy" is exactly the advice I'd give anyone — fragrance is personal and no description on a screen replaces wearing it for an afternoon. Appreciate you spreading the word.

Just excellent.
Excellent store. Thoughtfully curated (but expansive) collection of perfumes. Kind, patient service. Highly recommend.

Svar fra Xtrait Perfumery
Thank you. "Thoughtfully curated but expansive" is exactly the balance I aim for — enough range to explore without it becoming a wall of bottles. And patience is the job; nobody should feel rushed choosing a fragrance.

The absolute best- GO
The absolute best! I tell all of my fragrance friends and shout about it on groups in Facebook! The owner is amazing, so knowledgeable and you can just relax and explore. Nothing else like it in CT- GO and treat yourself!

Svar fra Xtrait Perfumery
Thank you, Dawn — those Facebook shout-outs genuinely bring people through the door, and I do notice. Somewhere you can relax and explore rather than be sold to is exactly what I wanted this shop to be, so I'm glad that's how it feels.

Thank you, Chad. Samples are the best way to live with a fragrance properly before committing to a full bottle, so I like sending a few along. Let me know how you got on with them.

Thank you. The ambiance took as much thought as the shelf did — a fragrance shop should be somewhere you actually want to linger. Glad all three landed.

Awesome little boutique with a tremendous selection of rare, hard to find niche fragrances. I collect fragrances, currently I have over 200 bottles in my collection, but I’ve bought sold traded, etc.. Well worth 1000 in my life. There was a few brands in this boutique that I had never even heard of.
The owner is very kind and willing to spend time with you as you try out a variety of scents.
I highly recommend supporting this local business as we don’t often get unique and interesting stores like this in our area. There’s only one other spot in all of Connecticut that I can think of where you would even be able to experience half of what they have here.
I wish this business and its owner success and longevity.

Thank you, Matthew — this is a genuinely generous review. Introducing new houses to someone already 200+ bottles deep is a real challenge, so I'm pleased there were names here you hadn't met yet. And thank you for the point about supporting a local independent; that is precisely what keeps a shop like this viable in Connecticut.
