worthless "warranty"
Love the fit and feel but durability is a HUGE issue for me. Bought a pair in Feb 2026. Had a hole in the bottom by April 2026. They were slow but accomadating on covering it under "warranty" but they still charged me $60 for the replacement pair. I obviously cant afford to go thru shoes every two months. I have switched over to Notace and will also try out Merrill for something more durable. The "warranty" is worthless imho. They will have sales close to that "warranty" price for the same shoe.

The sizing guide was inaccurate, and the return process was frustrating. Despite providing the correct pickup address multiple times, it was entered incorrectly more than once, causing delays and inconvenience.
Overall, poor customer experience. I would not order from this brand again.
Xero-Tech waterproofing doesn't work
I bought from the Australia store. I really like the Mid-Trail boots they fit well, are very comfortable to walk about in, and have generally held up well (a minor area of separation on toe box but a bit of glue will fix that). I use them for general use around a Lifestyle property we have here in NZ.
My disappointment is the ‘waterproof’ aspect. I’m in my 4th month of wearing them and if it rains anymore than a shower I always wear gumboots so haven’t really tested this aspect. A few days ago I went for a 25 minute walk with a pony in rehab across several paddocks. The grass length varied up to circa 6/7” and it had rained in preceding days so the paddocks were wet. I also had gaiters on. The boots didn’t hold up at all well, my socks/feet were wet when I got back to the house. I looked back through the boot description and checked the boots to see that I had been sent the WP model (which the label confirms). It occurred to me to write and ask if you’ve had any quality control issues at manufacturing source which could account for my experience? I’m not sure if ‘Xerotex’ is the actual fabric or a spray on technology etc…? Whichever it is my experience is that it doesn’t work.
I really feel that they should perform far far better in wet conditions.
That said I will continue to wear them on dry days however if I buy another pair I would stick with the non WP model.
Mesa Trail II shoes are Amazing!
I bought the Mesa Trail II shoes. They are the most amazing, hard-wearing and comfortable shoes I have bought for the outdoors. I have walked in different stoney mountain terrains, including volcanic and malpaís with no damage to the shoe. I have used them for running on wet sand and they are perfect and surprisingly waterproof.
I love these shoes so much I even use them for everyday wear!
The company send lovely emails of gratitude for buying their products.

Botines comprados en Febrero de este año. Tres veces puestas y observo que una de ellas está descosida por detrás. Me pongo en contacto con servicio al cliente y me indican que tengo que cortarlas ( destruirlas ) mandando foto o donarlas ( mandando recibo, para proceder al reemplazo. Esta no es una política que acepte y, francamente, parece diseñada para disuadir a los clientes de buscar reclamaciones de garantía legítimas.sin palabras!!!!

Dishonest company, not real barefoot shoes
They promised a 15% discount code in exchange for subscribing to their newsletter. I subscribed, they started spamming me immediately (several emails a day), but the promised code never arrived. I asked for it days ago, but they keep ignoring me ever since.
As for their shoes: they are narrow and uncomfortable, they squeeze my toes and I don't have wide feet. These are NOT barefoot shoes :(

Feel True Soles Collapse
It is a great shame to have to leave this review. I’ve had more than 10 pairs of Xero shoes over the last 10+ years. Unfortunately, all shoes with the Feel True sole have had the same issue - the sole collapses under the ball of the foot creating a pronounced hump in the sole. My 3 current Xeros all have this. I believe it is because of this that I developed Morton’s Neuroma. The collapse happens if you use the shoe for running but is not covered by the warranty. I would advise avoiding any Xero shoe with the Feel True sole.

Further to Xero asking me to contact them, I did. Absolute waste of time. I was offering to return the shoes just so they could see what has happened. No expectation of a replacement. Xero made it impossible to return. Very poor communication and generally really unhelpful. Lost me as a customer.

Waited for over 4 months to receive my…
Waited for over 4 months to receive my order. Still don't have it. They placed all blame on the shipping company, yet provided no alternative options. I even gave them the option to ship an order to a different country and use their US warehouse, yet they refused. Not customer focused at all. They point fingers, and I am still shoeless and moneyless.

He utilizado varios pares y modelos diferentes. Son súper cómodos. Lo mejor es la atención al cliente, siempre te ayudan. Un par se me estropeó en unos meses, y me lo cambiaron por otro sin problema.
Lo único negativo es que las tallas varían mucho entre los modelos, deberían hacer una tabla precisa de las medidas a lo largo y a lo ancho para cada modelo, porque es muy difícil acertar.
Lo bueno es que si no aciertas con la talla, el cambio es gratuito.
Zero shoe Z-trail EV Disappointment
I have owned Zero shoe Z-trail EV sandals for three months, only wearing them frequently for one month. The bottom sole seems to grip enough, but the front of heel area is already wearing down. Also, I really dislike the strapping system. It is much slower and awkward to strap behind my heel than over my foot, like other sandals. And, it is difficult to adjust the straps for uneven terrain. My feet have hurt for having straps too tight, but when loosened, my feet have slid forward, with toes reaching over the front edge.
These Zero shoes are quite expensive. I only bought them b/c they were on sale and would never buy them otherwise. They are barely worth the lower price I paid. I do not recommend walking in these very far.

I used to rave about Xero Shoes. I recommended them to friends and genuinely believed in the brand. Unfortunately, after multiple purchases, I have completely changed my opinion.
I bought five pairs of Xero Shoes, and only one pair actually lasted. I also bought a pair for my son, and they fell apart in about a month. The most common failure I’ve seen is the sole separating from the shoe, which tells me they are not properly glued. I’ve also had the sides rip during normal, everyday use. These shoes simply cannot handle regular wear.
I filed a warranty claim and it was denied, which was extremely disappointing. Their warranty feels intentionally limited. They will cover sole wear down to 1 mm, but they do not cover the sole separating from the upper, which is clearly a known failure point. That makes the warranty almost useless in real-world situations. They also refused to offer a reasonable discount on a replacement pair.
What makes this worse is that I recommended these shoes to a buddy, and now he’s experiencing the exact same problems. I genuinely regret recommending them.
For the price, this level of quality is unacceptable. These shoes are way overpriced for what they are. Ironically, I’ve had better luck with cheap shoes from Amazon. They cost far less and last much longer. Even if they don’t, replacing them is still cheaper than buying another pair of Xero Shoes.
I wanted this company to succeed, but after repeated failures and a denied warranty claim, I’m done. I will not be buying from Xero Shoes again.

After sharing my feedback with Xero Shoes, their team followed up and made things right. They reviewed my concerns, communicated clearly, and sent me a replacement pair. I appreciate that they stood behind their product and took the time to look into the manufacturing details of my older pairs. That level of responsiveness matters.
Customer service can tell you a lot about a company, and in this case they made good on their end. I respect that and wanted to update my review to reflect the positive resolution.

I have been wearing Xeroshoes for about 5 years and have bought at least 12 pairs of shoes, boots and sandals (probably more-I've lost count). This includes 4 types of boots, one of sandals, several styles of shoes and sneakers. I've seen the good and the bad in these products. I would venture to guess that I've been one of their best customers. I never left any reviews on their site until this past December. I left one 5 star review of the HFS-2 shoe which is the first running shoe that has not started falling apart prematurely. They published my review right away. I also left critical reviews of the 360 and the Prio. The 360 started out as a great shoe but the uppers began to disintegrate after a few months. I described this and included a picture of the problem. This 3 star review has not been posted. I have owned at least 3 or 4 pairs of Prio shoes and all of them have failed where the sole is cemented to the upper, near the heel. I reviewed this and included a picture in my 3 star review. This review was also not posted. Now I can see how Xeroshoes brags about all of their 5 star reviews, they simply don't allow anything else! I'm extremely disappointed with this company. I used to follow the podcasts done by the founder and was loyally buying their product for years, even though most fall apart rather quickly. This is not an honest way to do business. My 3 star rating here is generous; I still like the idea of the product but the behavior of the company is unacceptable.

Warning to International Shoppers
Warning to International Shoppers: Xero Shoes website lacks the proper function to display correct pricing. Despite selecting region and currency, each product page will still result in the display of USD pricing without telling you so. It's not until you're on the order confirmation page that you may see in a tiny faded font that you're about to pay in USD. Reaching out to customer support has availed nothing. After waiting a month with no updates on my order, I was sent an email saying the order was sent back to the fulfillment centre without a reason given. I still have had no personal support on either matter.

I'm trying to buy a pair of shoes in a size 8. The UK side of xero shoes sent me a size 7.5. Order clearly said 8. They didnt fit. Ordered another pair in size 8 and the same happened again.
They include a card with the founders pictures on. It has a number. It says number not recognised and hangs up.
The web chat has been sat there for 24 minutes now.
I have to go to the post office agaiun, and I don't have a christmas present for my partner.
Shocking customer service.

From Loyal Customer to Disappointed: Poor Service and Declining Quality
Long-time customer here – I’ve bought more than 10 pairs from Xero Shoes EU over the years – and unfortunately their service has declined dramatically in the last year. Their return and refund system is unreliable and extremely slow, written promises about timelines are not respected, and overall customer communication feels dismissive and neglectful. The shoes themselves are comfortable and the concept is good, but in my experience the build quality has noticeably degraded over the last 1–2 years, while prices have increased sharply. At this point, for the same money, I would recommend looking at brands that manufacture in Europe rather than mass-produced shoes from China.

Vor ein paar Wochen hatte ich den Xero…
Vor ein paar Wochen hatte ich den Xero Ridgeway in Green Gr.48 geholt, und für diese Größe hatte ich noch richtig Platz im Schuh also locker eine Gr.49 aber ich kann damit gut Leben als Alltagsschuh.
Natürlich wollte ich wissen wie sich die Gr.47 anfühlt.
Also gestern kam der Ridgeway in Gr.47 und für mich fühlt er sich perfekt an, kein drücken und die Zehen haben Dank der Zehenbox ausrechend Platz.
Also auf den ersten Eindruck gibt es 5 Sterne,sollte die Qualität wirklich nachlassen wird natürlich noch einmal nachgebessert in der Bewertung.
Was die Rücksendung der Schuhe angeht ist natürlich immer etwas schwierig dei Xero das geht natürlich besser,aber wer schickt schon gerne zurück.
Avoid these shoes
These shoes show more signs of wear after ONE practice than the Nikes they replace which have been used for TWO full seasons. Ridiculous.
Both the sole material and paint is coming off the shoes after the first use - deeply disappointing. And to top it off, the floor grip/traction is quite underwhelming as well, as pointed out by several other reviewers.
All this is the expected quality according to their support/warranty, so I would recommend anyone looking for sport shoes to look elsewhere.
The fit is comfortable, too bad about the low quality of the product.
Edit: I guess it's easy to keep your ratings high when you don't even publish the bad ones, I wrote the same review on their website one week ago and it's still not showing. That's a pretty shady practice if you ask me...
