Complimenti a IceWhale Technology Limited, per aver alzato i prezzi. Quasi 700 €, sul loro Store Online, per una m***a di Hardware, con un Intel N150 (4 Core, 4 Threads), 16 GB di RAM e 64 GB di eMMC. Non è un Server Aziendale !!!

P.S.: Complimenti a farlo recensire da YouTuber e Influencer, quando, glielo mandano in regalo !!!

UPDATE: Ho comprato un Beelink ME Pro 2-Bay AI NAS Mini PC Intel® Wildcat Lake 304, per le sue caratteristiche tecniche....

Bad company, slow service, no communication they just ignore you. The site is not good at all. There’s no cancellation button, just nothing, apart from an email which makes it really difficult. The service really is terrible, lack of confidence and trying to get my money back through my back as zimaspace.com have left my refund request unanswered for ages. They even promise posting within 72 hours which is more rubbish. Stay well away do not deal with the supplier. They falsely advertise and hold on yo your funds and do not respond to any emails.

Ho acquistato ZimaOS Premium dopo aver letto la loro promessa che il software "Supporta tutto l'hardware X86-64." (citazione dal loro sito).
Questa affermazione è falsa e fuorviante. Ho tentato di installare ZimaOS su due diverse piattaforme x86-64 standard, riscontrando bug di sistema a ogni tentativo:
-Mini PC Zotac (BIOS American Megatrends): Impossibile procedere a causa di un BIOS} semplificato che impedisce la disabilitazione del Secure Boot (necessario).
-Lenovo ThinkCentre M93P Tiny (Hardware Standard): L'installazione è fallita ripetutamente. L'installer ha creato partizioni corrotte (l'intero disco è risultato frammentato e inutilizzabile) e il sistema si è bloccato al primo avvio per un timeout sulla partizione dati casaos-data e per la ricerca inutile di driver NVIDIA su un PC con solo grafica Intel.
-Terza Macchina (Fujitsu): Non ho nemmeno tentato per la frustrazione e la certezza del problema software.

In conclusione: ZimaOS ha seri problemi di compatibilità con i controller SATA e i driver UEFI su hardware generico.
La situazione è aggravata dal fatto che non posso accedere al loro portale per avviare la procedura di rimborso, come promesso al momento dell'acquisto.
Sconsiglio vivamente l'acquisto di ZimaOS o dei loro dispositivi, poiché l'assistenza è inesistente e le loro dichiarazioni sulla compatibilità sono provatamente errate.

J'utilise ZimaOS et leurs services depuis 1 an et je n'en sors que très satisfait, chaque mise à jour apporte de nouvelles fonctionnalités, bien que la dernière n'a pas eu le succès escompté (mais je comprend l'initiative).
L'OS fourni par la firme est très complet, il propose divers fonctionnalités, s'il y a un problème matériel (incompatibilité par ex), il suffit de passer sur le forum pour discuter avec le support ou la communauté, dans mon cas j'avais demandé s'il était possible de faire prendre en charge une carte 10Gbps, quelques jours plus tard nous avons eu droit à une mise à jour comprenant le driver de ma carte (et des fixes bien entendu), le SAV est incroyablement ultra efficace et rapide !
Même chez Microsoft on a pas un tel service !
A ce jour, ça fait 1 an que j'utilise ZimaOS et je ne le regrette pas, je ne suis pas prêt de passer à un autre équivalent, Zima correspond parfaitement à mon usage et je ne peux que recommander l'OS ou les machines à ceux qui veulent avoir un NAS personnel facile à prendre en main et surtout... avec un SAV indéniablement efficace !

In August 2020, Lauren, the founder of IceWhale Tech, approached me with what seemed like an exciting opportunity. Previously, I've been working at DFRobot, leading efforts in overseas market expansion and crowdfunding in the LattePanda project with Lauren. Lauren believed my experience was critical to the success of their new venture, and I was invited to join IceWhale as a cofounder to help establish the company. I started working on overseas market development, branding, and crowdfunding campaigns during my spare time, encouraged by Lauren’s trust and the promise of a collaborative partnership.

By May 2021, I had so much faith in this vision that I resigned from my previous job, signed a three-year employment contract effective May 10, 2021, and became the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). From 2021 to 2024, I dedicated myself entirely to managing the company's global marketing and sales strategies. As both a shareholder and an executive, I worked tirelessly, believing that together, we were building something meaningful.

However, things began unraveling unexpectedly. On December 6, 2023, I discovered a stamped procurement contract dated August 14, 2023, uploaded into the company’s official system. Strangely, I hadn’t been involved in initiating or approving this document, nor had procurement ever been part of my responsibilities—it was entirely within Lauren’s domain as the founder. Alarmed by this misuse of my identity, I raised concerns about internal management through the company’s system.

To my shock, my concerns were perceived as a direct challenge to Lauren’s authority, and the narrative quickly shifted—in their eyes, I had committed an act of “betrayal.” This sparked an aggressive series of negotiations where I was pressured, during seven separate conversations, to transfer 100% of my equity into an ESOP (employee stock ownership plan) under Lauren’s sole control. Despite the repeated demands, I refused to sign any agreement that felt unfair or coercive.

Then, on January 15, 2024, Lauren called an emergency board meeting for January 23. The agenda? Alleged “operational issues” in 2023. During that meeting, I was blindsided—I was immediately asked to transfer all my equity and completely resign from company operations.

While I was open to negotiating terms for a fair equity transfer, things took a darker turn. IceWhale stopped paying my salary and social insurance since December 2023—a move Lauren openly justified as a consequence of my “failure” to comply with the equity demands. This left me in a precarious position: unable to secure new employment due to the lack of proper separation documentation, unable to access pension insurance or healthcare benefits, and struggling to move forward.

After months of uncertainty, an inquiry by the local labor authority on March 26, 2024, revealed that Lauren had illegally terminated my employment contract on December 31, 2023, without issuing any formal notice or required separation documents. I was effectively cut off, both professionally and personally, without warning.

This experience was devastating—not just financially, but emotionally. Joining IceWhale Tech as a cofounder started as a leap of faith fueled by trust and ambition. It ended with betrayal, unpaid wages, revoked equity, and an unlawful termination of my employment.

For anyone considering joining a startup, particularly as a cofounder, I urge you to protect yourself. Double-check your employment agreements, equity arrangements, and your position within the company's operational structure. Trust is fundamental, but let my story serve as a cautionary tale—sometimes it’s not enough.

At a Tech company, I was given a test assignment through a zimacube link. Even in the assignment description, there were already absurd requirements — you must make sure that your solution doesn't match any existing ones. However, they didn’t explain how I was supposed to do that.

Considering the nature of the tasks (standard, repetitive algorithmic problems that typically have template solutions), I still, as an honest person, spent two hours solving them, iteratively improving and refining my code. In the end, I received a message saying that plagiarism was detected.
