Why have an appointment system?

I booked an appointment online for the time that suited me, the time was available on the booking system. Then the Saturday before my appointment I get a text at 5.40pm rescheduling my appointment and from a number I cannot reply to. Why have a booking system at all. I will go elsewhere for my kitchen.

Full Kitchen & bedroom installation Still no contact from Wren even after replying to this review saying they would contact us to try & resolve our issues , avoid this company


This has been one of the worst experiences we have ever had with a company. We purchased a kitchen and bedroom with full installation and the entire process has been an absolute nightmare from start to finish.

The experience has been long, stressful and completely unacceptable, with missed appointments, damaged parts, measurement mistakes and delays. The overall organisation is appalling and the finished product is nowhere near the standard you would expect from a company claiming to be “reputable.”

The quartz worktops alone cost £2,600.60 and the workmanship is shocking. The veining alignment is horrendous, with an abrupt cut straight through the vein that looks cheap and poorly planned. What makes this even more infuriating is that if the worktop had simply been positioned the other way around, it would have been more than acceptable. This was entirely avoidable and shows a complete lack of care and attention during templating and installation.

We were also never offered the option of draining grooves during templating and have since been told it will cost an additional £500 to add them. That should have been discussed at the start, not used as an extra charge once the job is already done.

We paid for everything upfront, yet once we complained the communication practically stopped. We have been passed from department to department like an inconvenience, and despite repeatedly asking, we have not even been provided with the case manager’s details. There is no accountability and no urgency to resolve anything.

Customer care has been atrocious. The attitude has been dismissive, unhelpful and completely lacking in professionalism. To top it all off, the limited correspondence my partner Andrew did receive was so careless they addressed him as “David.” That says everything about how seriously they are taking our complaint.

This company takes your money quickly, delivers poor quality work, then avoids you when things go wrong.

I would never recommend this company to anyone and I strongly advise others to look elsewhere unless you want stress, disappointment and a complete waste of money.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. Would not recommend. Got my kitchen from Uddingston supply only. Once the units were in and finished I wasn't happy with the way the tower unit and larder unit looked. Because we have a handless design they both have a gap at the door opening where you could see unfinished raw wood on the side of the shelves. I went into the showroom and discovered that this was wrong and the finish should be flush. I took photos anf sent them to Wren. They have now come back to confirm that my units have been manufactured wrongly and they would send me out replacement carcass units for both. However when I asked them to cover the costs of my kitchen fitter for a day to remove and replace these they said they wouldn't cover that. I am sorry but why should I be out of pocket because of Wrens mistake. I have also asked for all the unit finishes as my fitter cant guarantee these won't be damaged as part of the removal process which I am still waiting to hear back from them on. It is an absolute disgrace that a company can take thousands from you then send out wrongly manufactured goods and expect you to then foot the bill for their replacement.

Poor product quality and customer service.

Had new kitchen installed in 2019 and have had problems ever since. Installation was terrible and unsafe and took months to resolve many issues with outsourced joiners as fitters. Ovens not screwed in, cables not secured, damage to doors and uneven fit, blood left on floor, damage to other parts of our home and garden, mess left in driveway, splash backs not installed properly. Customer service was very poor and I never received an apology for all the upheaval, safety concerns and inconvenience for our £20000 kitchen installation. In fact I was offered £65 when I complained that my child could have been killed by an unsecured oven! Issues continue, doors chipped and broken, taps have needed replaced, facings broken off, glue has discoloured, CDA fridge freezer needed fully replaced and does again due to ongoing faults. Considering a new kitchen within six years of installation.
Do not buy a wren kitchen. Awful experience aside from friendly salesperson in showroom.

And I am still awaiting a response to that communication from 2020! We went into the pandemic at that point and priorities changed. If you can see the communications, you can see the months of back and forth, the lack of apology or compensation and the ongoing issues in 2026. You will see the complaints made and the request for a new agent to deal with them as there was no resolution. No new agent was provided so I have no confidence in Wren and their customer service.
Since then facings have fallen off that were never properly secured, doors have chipped and the fridge freezer needs replaced again (I have also dealt with CDA directly who refuse to take responsibility too).
We spent over £20000 on our new kitchen with Wren. Potential new customers have the right to know how we were dealt with.

We couldn’t be happier with our new kitchen. We used the Uddingston branch and from the planning stage with Briony through to the quartz worktop installation everything ran smoothly and efficiently. We had millions of questions and ideas and Briony was very patient and helped us design the perfect kitchen for us and our space. We used Wrens fitters and Paul and Elliot were excellent. Paul’s eye for detail is second to none and everything looked perfect when they left. This was a first for us and we were anxious to get it right and Wren Uddinston certainly delivered.

Great delivery of our bedroom furniture

Absolute Riot

Paid £7000 for a small
Kitchen unit from
wren, Uddingston.

Walter dealt with our consultation and actioned all points of our kitchen. Initially he was insightful, telling us what to avoid from buying for Wren and what to buy else where. This ended up useless as we paid a fortune upfront for sinks, taps and wine fridges rather than putting on interest free credit.

On our 2nd and 3rd visit, hidden charges were revealed- things like splash backs and worktops had not actually been included in the original quote - and therefore the finance.
This all all despite my partner double checking such thing were included, having studied the plans.

The wren deliverly staff were friendly and helpful when the units were delivered. However, we noted various problems-
-Our black 4 hob was actually a silver 5 hob that was delivered. This was only noted after installation. Nightmare as kitchen was designed around being black and cream.
- not enough splash back quoted , resulting in uneven of splashback wrapped around kitchen. Also visible lines .
- asked for whole kitchen to be designed around current washing machine( doors and countertop width) this, was ignored by designer & measurer- too narrow to accommodate.
- £300 extra for new washing machine, despite current being months old)
- hob issues resulted in offset - extraction fan cannot sit symmetrically above Hon and cupboard so is offset.
- one cupboard missing from delivery
- measurer did not account for boxing in of pipes- thankfully fitter managed around so looks good, But cupboard is useless.
- whole kitchen was silk finish, but one gloss cabinet was delivered.
- not entirely sure kitchen is actually the shade we asked for it in. (Cashmere- appears pale pink, not greige).

Intially wren made us pay extra to replace
All these problems and replacement items.
Store manager - or any member of management - was uncontactable for at least 5 days due a ‘management conference’.

Spoke to lovely man called Gordon who tried his best to resolve our problems. Units and appliances appear quality condition, but customer service, design aptitude and willingness to fully correct problems without financial impact on customer are lacking - is this not whole
Point in going with big brand?

Do not recommend. Esp week before Xmas.

Asked wren to pay extra cost to fitters- refuse thi- now amounting to over £1000. Potentially more as more problems appear. Put fitters are not cowboys, but people who wren contract (despite us getting independently).

Poor. Skint. Not entirely sure I have ended up with the kitchen I asked for to my consult, Walter Gaffney. uddingston Branch.

Overall, Wren store management slow, uncooperative to sort problems at least 10 hours in first week spent on hold to store and customer service.

Multiple errors

Multiple errors.

Our kitchen is finally finished but we have needed to get my daughters pal, who is a joiner, out to box in the boiler that the wren one left with the door balanced against the unit and also our own plumber to seal the sink properly as it was left with water running down the back into the cupboard.
We started the process with our kitchen over 2 years ago then asked to wait as we needed to do a lot more work. Wren were very accommodating with this. The design experience was the fun bit. When we went back we had a different designer, Walter, who again was very helpful .
The delivery was fine and the installer arrived as planned and seemed to be getting on well with it. Issues began when we were left with no water in the kitchen for over 2 weeks so had to use bathroom sink for dishes and local laundrette. This wasn’t pointed out at point of sale and was stressful. There were a few errors along the way which the installer suggested was because there were 2 designs. Our quartz worktop was affected and we needed the joiner back after initial install to put extra panels on island so that quartz could be installed. When the quartz template was fitted it was the wrong way round so the guys came back and changed that last week . However, Due to measurement error the island sticks out beyond the counter on one side but tbh I’m used to looking at it now and really don’t feel like the upheaval of it being removed and cut again
The biggest issue was the fact the wren joiner couldn’t box in our boiler. The door was left dangerously balancing on clips and it fell off a few days later landing on my foot and now has a big scratch revealing mdf underneath. It’s really just pure luck it didnt land on one of my dogs or a visiting child that had been in the kitchen the day before. The installer had also put the frame on in such a way we couldn’t get into the boiler controls. When we told him he blamed us for not having a thermostat and also said we just had to remove 2 screws ( the frame) to get in. I feel due to the fact it was Friday and he wanted paid he decided to just leave it not properly finished and this is the most annoying aspect. If he had suggested coming back and doing something with it we would have accepted that but his attitude stank. It was OUR fault as we didn’t have a thermostat and why would we need in t it was his answer. He left a heavy door dangerously balancing on the frame, a sink not properly sealed and screws all over the floor despite knowing I’d 2 retrievers. It has put a dampener on the review score which would have been 5 star without these poor finishes. He had just left when I realised how dangerous it was and when I phoned him to say it wasn’t going to work he said the only thing he could do was leave it exposed. Then sent me messages offering a thermostat to be fitted for £130. No offer of coming back and looking at it. He will have known the boiler cover wouldnt fit on day 1 as he had taken it out the box. Why didn’t he tell us and give us the opportunity to move the boiler or speak to someone earlier. We went to the showroom to ask if f they could fix the problem after he had left and the manager told us she could see from simply looking at a picture that our boiler was too close to the wall. Strange that the surveyor didn’t notice and the fitter only noticed on the last day. The manager wanted us to get the same fitter back to do something even though I told her that he didn’t have a solution . We weren’t offered another fitter. She didn’t have an alternative and didn’t seem at all annoyed at the poor finish. Seemed to think £256 refund was a good outcome for the way it was left. When we asked about alternative doors, hatches , she gave a glib “we don’t do anything like that” and then she searched the internet for us as if we couldn’t use a search engine ourselves. No ownership or responsibility taken for the design/ fitting issue from the team she manages. Very disappointing for a company that size. We have had to pay another joiner to finish the boiler door. He had to cut the door and use bits of wood to create somewhere to put the hinges on. It wasn’t easy and took a few hours and a bit of creativity.
Install team have been good and helpful and refunded me £256 for the boiler unit. I am relatively happy with the way my kitchen looks now but I wouldn’t recommend wren as I think there’s a big gap between design, surveyor and install. When there’s a mistake they blame each other or it’s your own fault.

Very disappointing experience with Wren, Uddingston

My initial visit to Wren in Uddingston went very well — the design process was smooth, and the staff seemed helpful and professional. Unfortunately, that’s where the good service ended.

Once the kitchen was fully paid for, the customer service completely disappeared. Despite their paperwork claiming “in the unlikely event of missing or damaged units,” I ended up with one missing unit and two damaged units. The replacements didn’t arrive until after the rest of the kitchen had already been completed, causing major inconvenience.

Trying to get hold of anyone at Wren was a nightmare — on hold for 15 minutes at a time, multiple times, with no resolution. I called and emailed the in-store staff several times, only to be ignored every single time. Even after writing directly to the branch manager, my complaint was completely ignored.

The overall attitude seems to be that once they have your money, they simply don’t care. I’ve since spoken to others who’ve had the same experience with this branch — it seems to be a recurring issue, and the management is useless.

Would never recommend Wren, and definitely not the Uddingston branch. Terrible communication, poor follow-up, and zero accountability once payment is made.

Please read and share with anyone considering Wren

Please Read and share with anyone considering Wren for a Kitchen or Bedroom.
We purchased a kitchen and 2 bedroom fits from Wren.
One Bedroom has been without issue, this was a square room.
The second bedroom was in a loft conversion, the entire design process was flawed and after care …. Horrendous. Please read the contract small print in relation to any bespoke cutting as your warranty is void.
The Kitchen ….
Infinity plus ultra Forest Green Satin.
Shorty after installation a manufacturing fault appeared. Over time the fault continued to appear randomly on other doors and drawers. These were all replaced. However, we ended up with over a dozen replacements in huge boxes in our home for over 6 months due to fitters not attending as planned and a complete communication breakdown at Wren. When the fitter did attend he condemned the boxed replacement doors and drawers as the adhesive protective coating had been on them too long. By this time further faults had appeared on the kitchen doors.
The fitter arranged for Wren to do a full refit which was completed in Sept ‘24. Again the fault reappeared within weeks. I have spent the last 12 months seeking legal advice, requesting a charge back through my credit card (always use a credit card to pay a Wren deposit) and £1k for an independent expert witness report to confirm it was a manufacturing fault.
I have had to then seek multiple quotes for replacement doors, drawers and panels and fitting costs. Yesterday an independent company completed a refit for us.
I have posted this review to ensure that although Wren supply and fit thousands of kitchens every week, when it goes wrong you will be fighting a loosing battle. Wren are a huge company who hold all the cards. I have been fortunate that I paid a small deposit on a credit card. Please be warned. I have spent 2 years trying to resolve this, 100’s of emails to Wren, solicitor, credit card company and then arranging the refit. Simpler to not use Wren. I’m now aware that there are similar experiences on social media. Please feel free to refer anyone to my post.

Bought from Uddingston

Bought from Uddingston, Glasgow and designer got the layout wrong after changing a full size dishwasher to a slimline. Sink tap went from centre of cupboard above to right centre and only discovered post delivery when joiner was installing. This caused us a 2 week delay although Wren after initially wanting to charge are delivering the correct items for free.

Also be very careful as have a feeling designer removed items deliberately to reduce price when moving size in dishwasher as previous one was an incentive and cheaper. I was still circa £250 more expensive for the redesign.

Lastly the management on this site take no ownership and don’t respond to emails or calls. Their welcome email has unobtainable phone numbers which is just incredible.

The designer didn’t even apologise and just quickly transferred me to customer services.

Lastly we find ourselves bearing the loss for their fault as had to cover the cost of rebooking trades people which Wren refused to pay for.

Poor after sales

The quality of the goods are very good and the fitter did a good job.but during the course of fitting I was informed by the fitter that the built in units did not fit and I was asked if I had had it measured by wren. My window sill had to be removed to get it to fit. None has come back to finish off. The fitter keeps getting sent to do other jobs. There is also a little bit still to be fixed on the fit and head office basically said as I had signed the completion form and had signed a contract they were finished with it. So I will definately never be using them again, very shoddy and shameful after sales! Update. Have just had a reply, which doesn’t really say much, the usual sorry to hear you’ve had a bad experience I’ll pass on to the relevant team type of message.! Having also spoke to the store assistant manager as the manager whom I asked to speak to passed the buck and didn’t get an adequate response from them so I’m still left with no definitive timeline to get my issue sorted. So haven’t changed my mind at all
2nd update. After a lot of messaging back and forth wren have finally sorted my complaint to my satisfaction. Everything has gotten sorted and I am happy with the end result. Hopefully moving forward they will review their work practices and make the whole process easier for the customer. This includes listening and putting the customer first in all aspects of the fit. This includes when something goes wrong. This could have saved me a whole lot of hassle and stress.

Terribe Customer Service

The ordering process is fine but the second they have your money the customer service is shocking! Damaged or missing parts need reordered through their app, not easy to use, then when the replacement parts turn up DAMAGED you need to deal with head office who are impossible to get through to and when you do you need to put up with condescending rude advisors, 3 weeks after our kitchen was started we still are waiting for all the parts and have at least another week to go, really not good, would have helped if the customer service was better but being spoken to like you are something they stepped in is shocking would definately NOT recommend

Uddingston branch

Went today to the Uddingston branch with my father in law and very fussy mother in law. We had an appointment with Marc who is an absolute credit to Wren. He was very patient and nothing was a hassle. There was no hard sales tactics just great chat which made the whole thing experience enjoyable. Marc is clearly knowledgeable about all the products and was very professional. I had to take my 6 year old and he had the best time for the 2 hours we were there, he got to play games and had snacks and drinks which gave me the ability to concentrate. We also dealt with Ryan who was very good too. Would highly recommend and I feel very confident that we’ve made some great decisions with the kitchen, can’t wait to see it installed. Thank you Marc and Ryan :)

PLEASE AVOID WREN KITCHEN

PLEASE AVOID WREN KITCHEN.

One of the worst Kitchen/Bedroom designers in the UK. Incompetent designers and unprofessional/unsupportive customer support. We made two major purchases (Kitchen and Bedroom), thinking that our first (Kitchen) purchase was an isolated bad experience. First, we ordered a bespoke tall cabinet X 4. One including a full freezer. Wren sent the delivery way ahead of time. At least a week before the installation. That means the material would be lying on the floor (or wherever you want it to be) for at least a week while the whole house becomes a mess. They don't mind if you have children or pets, and they could trip or get injured. The appointments are no sooner than 2 months. The joiner came in and fitted the cabinets. The design looks good, but that's the only thing that looks good. They have a major fault in the design if you are looking for a tall fridge/freezer to be installed. The hinges to open the cabinets are installed in the middle, making it impossible to open the cabinets. You are left with either opening it from the top or the bottom, and there are no hinges to help you with it. When asked why the designer didn't know this? They said it is not a design fault. Contact local fitters to fix this for you. When reminding about the warranty, they say it isn't a design fault. The fitter gave us the alternative to install make-shift hinges from eBay or Amazon. Wonderful. No consideration of customer support or the hard-earned money we are paying. Then we were dumb enough to order a small bespoke bedroom set from Wren. We made this mistake only thinking that one experience doesn't mean all bad. We were wrong. The bedroom delivery came in almost two weeks before the installation. We were given and agreed on a design, which we had as a printout and paid for it. The joiner came in with a different design and had no clue of the notes provided by the Wren designer. We showed the design we had, and he completely disregarded our design and told us that he could not install and complete the job because the design was incorrect and the material was not properly provided. Imagine waiting for more than two months for this AUSPICIOUS day for nothing. We complained, and the support staff couldn't convince the joiner to complete the jobs as agreed with us. Again, we have to wait for another appointment and for the missing material to arrive. This will again be for another month or so with all the clutter around. We will be cancelling this order from Wren if this is not fixed within a week of delivery and fitting, and we will be filing a case in Small Claims Court for such ridiculous services, support and mental and physical stress.

You can give a bit more ££ and get this done from a better company, OR, you can pay half of it and get it done with some local joiner.

We visited Wren Kitchens with the…

We visited Wren Kitchens with the intention of buying a whole new kitchen. We chose the design/colour/units/appliances etc. When it came time to finalise everything, we sat at the computer to do the paperwork. I was irritated when the sales person only addressed my husband. But what infuriated me was when I asked a couple of questions and he turned to my husband to answer them, even after my husband explained that "that's the wife's department". He constantly ignored me as if I had nothing to do with things. I got up and walked out and they lost the sale of a kitchen. A little hint WK, do not treat wives as if they are subservient to their husbands, and they are not to be involved in the "grown up" part.
