I found the experience ok. I had used this company before and it would be handy if some information was kept so I didn’t have to repeat myself constantly especially when completing the quote for 4 people. It should let you add to it rather than restart from the beginning. The price was reasonable. I’m not a fan of getting quotes online. I had phoned to see if I could get a better deal actually talking to someone but they said no and the quote online is what I would be quoted from them. I found this unusual as when I usually phone to speak to a company 99% of the time you get a better deal! I will continue to shop around to get annual insurance when it needs renewed. I have recommended this company to others in the past.

I was recommended World First Travel Insurance by a friend after getting excessive quotes from other companies.
The customer service advisor, Jess, was very helpful and thorough when going through my medical history. The price was extremely competitive and would not hesitate in using World First Travel Insurance again.

bought two policies for two different travel dates but only got sent a copy of one policy twice. This has now been corrected with small refund sent but still wait a hard copy of one of the policies

This is the second time we have used world first, I had to ring for the quote as I had a cancerous tumour removed two years ago and couldn’t find the particular tumour on the website, phone was answered promptly, and at the end of the call I had travel insurance for me and my partner, other companies who stated they insured cancer wouldn’t insure me, even though I was cancer clear after the op. Fantastic service and no press for one for this etc… just straight through to a person and on with the quote, I would highly recommend this company.

Took time to discuss medical history and came up with an acceptable price for travel cover.

Horrendous service,
I am on holiday and I had a sudden blurred vision that seems to be permanent. World first insurance arranged an online consultation with a GP on January 1st. The doctor told me he was going to send me a report. 36 hours later and despite several requests I am still waiting for it.
Today I decided to have a face to face at the nearest A&E at the nearest medical centre, it is private. The doctor saw me within 5 minutes and told me to go urgently to the main hospital one hour away from here in order to see an opthalmologist. But before leaving the private medical centre needs payment.

I have been waiting more than 2 hours for the medical team of world first travel to guarantee the payment, I have emailed them the medical report of the private doctor and email from the private centre, spoken to world travel insurance several times telling them to send an email of guarantee of payment.
And no response.
Every time I call world travel they tell me that the medical team needs to have a look at the medical report and to wait!
The staff answering the phone out of office hours seems to be in a call centre in India with a phone like of very poor quality and with call handlers hard to understand and unhelpful.

Very quick and easy to do

Tom was so very helpful, when you are HIV and have dealing with cancer it’s so tough to get cover for a simple holiday, Tom walked me through everything and assisted me to get the cover and peace of mind I needed, he was kind, patient, and so very calming in a very difficult circumstances. I would now not go to any other company. I am so grateful to know that everything is ok and we are covered. Well done Tom !
