Lovely place
We just come back from a weekend break away and what a beautiful site and lodge was spotless who was made by Amy we loved our weekend and will be back for longer next time.
Anyone thinking of staying here I 100% recommend see you again
Smoky hollow recommended it was a lovely stay.
We have just recently stayed in the Smoky hollow lodge, #2 crab tree. For a 7 night stay.
Willow pastures team were very efficient at contacting us whilst we were en route and providing us updates prior to the trip through email.
Upon arrival, the lodge was spotless, spacious, warm and welcoming. The kitchen facilities were superb. We love the way that the lodge was decorated and thought it looked beautiful and very aesthetic.
It was dog friendly which enabled us to take our two Jack Russell’s, they adored walking around the site which was pristine well maintained and had a lovely layout. There was also ample dog bins for waste and good access to the trans Pennines trail for walking.
The hot tub at our lodge was checked twice daily and topped up with water which was really helpful.
We had an absolutely lovely and restful stay and we would love to book again to come back, we were really happy there and booking here is recommended.

We booked Willow Pastures for a summer holiday with our young family, but sadly the experience was far below expectations.
Our original lodge (Grumpy Badger Silver Birch 3) was unclean on arrival — we found blood on the toilet seat, dirty dishes, and mud throughout the entrance hall. We cleaned it ourselves to avoid starting the holiday with complaints, but the next morning, both bathrooms failed. The ensuite shower flooded the room, the toilet nearly overflowed, and the main bathroom had similar drainage issues. With three young children including a baby, this was incredibly stressful.
We contacted the out-of-hours number via text, WhatsApp, and voicemail, but had to chase multiple times before someone responded. Thankfully, James, a member of staff, was kind and efficient. He confirmed a blockage and arranged a move to a new lodge.
Unfortunately, the first alternative lodge was completely uninhabitable — it had not been cleaned or made up since the previous guests had left. The second lodge (Crab Tree Court 16) was clean and ready, but it was not the same specification as what we originally booked. We lost half a day relocating, which was a major inconvenience during peak season.
We’ve since contacted the on-site manager and emailed reception requesting compensation for the downgrade and disruption. We’ve been completely ignored. Even Hoseasons, who contacted the park on our behalf, were also ignored. This lack of accountability is unacceptable.
While James deserves recognition for his help, the overall experience — from the condition of the lodge to the poor communication and refusal to address the issue — was extremely disappointing.
Would not recommend, especially for families or anyone expecting a stress-free holiday during peak season.
Tranquil location with 5 star accommodation
Just arrived back ftom our second visit to willow pastures. When we arrived check in was very quick, the Lodge had been cleaned to a very high standard , massive thankyou to Diane snd Tina.
The reception staff go above snd beyond to make your stay perfect, the added touch of a beautiful welcome pack plus prosecco and chocs was fab. Already looking forward to our next visit next year.
2nd stay!
2nd stay at Willow Pastures within 6 months! Family of 4 with a dog. Complimentary Prosecco and chocolates on arrival was lovely. Lodge was clean and spacious. The lodge carpet did smell a little. On site shop is useful for treats. We had fish and chips on arrival from a catering van on site and visited the pub next door for drinks. Overall it was a relaxing weekend and will definitely recommend and visit again in the future.

We own a lodge here and absolutely love it. The location is so peaceful and remote but with easy access to towns, the beach and M62. We are well looked after by the professional and helpful staff in the office. The difference here is that everything is open and transparent with owners. Always happy to have a conversation and discuss issues that crop up.

You need to book this lodge
We booked this weekend for my friends birthday and we were not disappointed. We stayed in Grumpy Badger, lodge 8 Chestnut Drive, and it was gorgeous. Super clean when we arrived, chocolates and sweets on the beds next to the fluffy towels. Everything was here we needed for the weekend, gorgeous hot tub with privacy screening and it was so comfortable. Had a fab few nights sleep and the site is so peaceful. The lodge is well kitted out and is home from home. Highly recommend staying here.
Ruined our Christmas break
Ruined our Christmas break. We had read a review from a previous visitor who had soiled bedding and made me worried about staying so we rang Hoseasons with our concerns. The representative recommended we could upgrade to a Lux Collection Pet which we did at an additional cost. We also paid for an early check-in at £20 to avoid unpacking in the dark. We got to our Lux Lodge which wasn't at all. It was quite basic. The description definitely didn't match what we got. I always check the mattress protector and bedding before I sleep in it. We were horrified to find a badly stained mattress protector which was filthy and then pulled out the duvet to find huge stains on that too. I was freaking out a bit so went to reception to get it sorted. The head housekeeper arrived with a new duvet, quilt cover and a protector. She apologised saying that the beds are usually made up when she does her final checks so she can't see stained beds ?? The hot tub was a bit cool compared to other hot tubs we have used before and put it down to it being emptied and refilled and still heating up. We then tried the hot tub the next day after a day out, which was Christmas Eve and it was still too cold so went to reception at 4.15 ish to find it was closed. I emailed and phoned the telephone number we had and asked for it to be rectified. We had a terrible night sleep on the cheapest mattress ever. It was only about 4" thick and springs poking up. I emailed again the next day, Christmas Day and the office was closed again. We tried to fix the creaking bed so lifted the mattress which was so bad it folded in half as we stood it up to find broken latts and there were also several missing. We just had the worst sleep again so because we couldn't get any help at all decided to leave a day early as we were just so tired. As we were packing the car the hot tub guy arrived to check the chemicals and he asked if we were leaving. We said yes and that the hot tub was way too cold. He said we should have turned it up ???? There weren't any instructions at all. He opened a flap on the side which had no notice on it and we saw that it was set at 36° which is a summer setting ( done to keep costs down). It should be set at 38°/40° for the cold months. We needed the key code for the box to put the key in when we departed so the guy rang someone to ask for us. He was obviously asked by whoever was on the other end of the phone if we were leaving and he said yes they are leaving now. We eventually had an email back from the office on Saturday 28th December at 11.00am with regards to our complaint. They offered us a discount on the top of the range lodge for another visit so that they could show us what is their normal standards. Why on earth would we spend another penny here when they were meant to give us a luxury lodge in the first place. We declined this offer. Then they offered us £100 which we also declined. We lost one full day/night. The total we paid for 4 nights was £739.00 decide that by 4 and it's a bit more than £100 per night. I've never had such shocking service from a holiday provider. They were almost fully booked over the Christmas period and closed their office at 4pm on Christmas Eve and didn't reopen until the day after boxing day. They didn't care at all about their customers they just took loads of money from them and left them to get on with it. Even the out of hours number wasn't manned. Thank you Willow Pastures for ruining our much needed Christmas Break.

Credit where credit is due....despite ending our holiday and returning home after one night, I can't fault the managers courtesy and sincere apology that the holiday failed to meet our expectation on this occasion.
Pre arrival there was great communication, pre booking and good holiday guide etc before arrival.
Park very tidy and well presented on first appearance, receptionist kind and professional.
We hit a lot of hurdles though and ended our holiday after the first night due to a multitude of issues, some not fully in the parks control due to the exceptionally wet weather but slipping hazard from wet railway sleepers outside the lodge. Lodge ( caravan)
chestnut drive 10 was nicely situated for some privacy, but privacy ruined by others walking dogs on the grass past the lodge so no privacy in the hot tub. Came across a fair amount of dog fouling too, again not parks fault as bins provided but it's unpleasant for guests to see and dodge.
Parking is on the wrong side of many lodges & very inconvenient,we just couldn't settle due to concern over car getting damaged as lodges ( caravans) close together.
Lodge was clean on first appearance but certainly not LUXE ( some cheap furnishing-dining table/ chairs) and didn't represent good value for money.
As we cleaned we found oversights with high and low cleaning ( used vape on bedroom cabinet, dirty upholstery to scatter cushions & footstool, stained, dirty window voiles and extremely dirty cooker extractor. One bed broken and dodgy repair with 2x4 timber pieces, mattresses for too soft and not comfortable. Single beds too short for some adults, I'm only 5ft 5 and feet out the bottom.
A low vibration noise and sensation all night from ? Hot tub.
After spending a lot of time recleaning the lodge and trying to settle, followed by slipping on the wet slippy railway sleepers, having no privacy in the hot tub and having a rubbish nights sleep we spoke with the manager who offered to relocate us or refund us.
Lovely park and lodge
Lovely park and lodge. Unfortunately we stayed in lodge 22 which was under trees so didn’t really get any sun and our car was full of sap at the end of the holiday. The judge was very spacious. We had afew snags when we got there but these were sorted apart from a flickering light in the en suite which wasn’t fixed in the week we were there. The hot tub was great. The two sofas were very low and uncomfortable, impossible for our elderly parents to sit on with any comfort.
Little Gem of a place
Fabulous 4 days away for me, my parntner and dog in the Retreat Pet lodge(18 The Mews). We had glorious weather. The lodges are extremely clean thanks to Amy C, and no corners have been cut on the quality of the towels and bed linen. Lots of cooking equipment, even had an air fryer. Lovely welcome pack and prosecco greeted us on arrival. This place is a little gem if you prefer a more peaceful break. However, there is lovely pub just outside of the park gates with a great beer garden where you can enjoy a very good meal at reasonable prices and enjoy the buzz of pub life. The hot tub was brilliant and would highly recommend so that you enjoy the full package. All in all a very enjoyable stay and hope to be back soon.

stayed in June for our anniversary
stayed in June for our anniversary. Lodge 13, dont bother, so many maintenance issues with this lodge. The double bed mattress is old & they wont change it. The main bedroom is so small you cant even open the wardrobe door without hitting the bed. Its like being in a small caravan. Couldn't use shower in main bed bathroom as there were cracked tiles & clearly blown the bedroom floor with leaking. Corner of the sink unit cabinet is so close to the shower you have to squeeze in to get into the shower. Hot tub jets broken. No control over the shower temp control, broken tiles, drains smelling of rotten eggs. Just hated it & couldn't wait to go home. The place looks nice at the first glance but a lot of it is scruffy. To far from everything & next to a gardens centre. Just a odd place to have lodges. Did mention to a member of staff our issues, nothing happened but wrote & given the brush off as they claimed I didn't report the issues. Ive only mentioned some of the problems. They need to shut the lodge & deal with the problems as they are not a quick fix. Will never go near the place & has also put me off the area.

Excellent visit.
Just returned from our second stay at Willow Pastures. We love it. Central enough to use as a base for visiting other places. Scarborough, Whitby, Flamborough, the list goes on. The lodges themselves are beautiful and very well equipped for all you may need. The hot tubs are spacious and cleaned thoroughly. Yes there’s not much privacy whilst in the tub but as it’s a new site the shrubs have not all grown yet to cover the outside space. This said we didn’t have an issue and love it there, already planning our next visit. Great site and very helpful staff. Thank you Willow pastures.

Lovely peaceful holiday park
We had an amazing holiday at Willow Park. Our lodge was absolutely spotless and was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. There was a box on arrival containing tea, coffee, milk and sugar sachets, a mini washing up liquid, cloth, sponge, tea towel, and mini biscuits as well as 2 little bottles of prosecco which was a lovely touch and very appreciated. There's a shop on site for other useful bits and the staff were very friendly and happy to give advice on places to eat etc. The hot tub was a welcome additional, checked twice daily and very pleasant and easy to use.
The site was ideally situated to explore a range of places. We (2 adults and a 4yo) visited
- Flamborough head - absolutely stunning and loads of seals basking on the rocks!
- Danes Dye - very near to Flamborough. A shirt walk to the beach from the car park, gorgeous views
- Honeysuckle farm - great day out for kids, lots of animals to feed, great outdoor play spaces to explore and a maze
- Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay
- Peasholm Park (very pretty with very tame squirrels but not a whole lot open in March) and Scarborough beach
- York (Inc chocolate lolly making at Cocoa Works and lunch at Betty's)
- Beverley, including mothers day roast dinner at The Woolpack, would recommend!
- Filey
- RSPB Bempton Cliffs - great views even if you're not really into birds!
- Bridlington Animal Park - lovely little place but best reserved for a dry day!
- Streetlife Transport Museum in Hull which was fab and completely free!

Avoid like the plague
Firstly I’d like to say if you enjoy noisy construction works, smelling farms and I mean to point you cannot eat or stay in the caravan because the smell is that bad then this is the place for you. As well as this they fail to mention you’ll be chasing flies and wasps round your entire holiday. The first day we arrived to the caravan we opened the doors to let some air in and in came around 30 flies all at once! Followed by numerous wasps. They know they have a fly issue because it is written in the handbook they give you when you arrive. But yet all they provide is fly spray. They do not have the means in place to deal with it.
Secondly our caravan we stayed in “9 silver birch way” was absolutely filthy when we got there! There was dust and mucky marks all over. Apparently the carpets get cleaned once a month but as a carpet business owner that carpet hasn’t been cleaned since it’s been down and also doesn’t fit the floor properly. Considering the prices they charge you’d think they could instal correct size carpets and have them cleaned. I felt like I was walking on other peoples dirt the carpet was stale, flat and sticky it was disgusting. Another issue with cleanliness were the vile sinks and toilets. There was other persons toothpaste splatter and poo on the toilets when we arrived! I made the park aware of this and it then took them two days to come and rectify it. So for the first 3 days of our holiday none of us could relax and we felt we had been treat appallingly.
They also fail to mention there site is still under construction just as you drive into the park. If I were these owners I wouldn’t put anymore caravans on the site as they clearly struggle to manage and upkeep the ones they have! It’s noisy, dusty and not what you want whilst you are away they also said they had a shop on site. There is no shop at all. The only thing they have is a small selection of over priced stuff in their office. 5p for a tiny sugar sachet. Ridic!
Another issue if you have a cabin with a hot tub be expected to be told you can’t use it for an hour after the maintenance guy has been. If you work this out over the week that’s 7 hours in total lost time which is a joke considering you pay for that pleasure of the hot tub.
You cannot spend your entire days on the park as there’s nothing to do. There is a pub across from the park with a park for children however you can’t sit and watch them as it’s further away from the outdoor pub seating area and the cost of that pub is through the roof as well. I don’t know where they get their prices from.
The manager and the owner Tracy and Emily give off mean girl vibes. Emily can’t admit the faults and issues when you complain about them and Tracy is just spiteful. Both rude and not helpful at all. You would feel uncomfortable talking to either of them because they would answer back in such negative ways purely because they couldn’t accept someone did not like their below average holiday park. Emily offered to refund us only £100 pounds which looks like a common thing reading other reviews where residents haven’t been happy.
They also fail to mention Monday you’ll be left with no water pressure leaving you unable to shower! Or do anything which involves water. They blamed it on refilling hot tubs. Again this isn’t mentioned in the advertisement is it!!!
I would never ever ever come to this holiday park again. We were left feeling so uncomfortable the entire holiday and we left a day early because we just couldn’t hack the last night. If you have children and thinking of bringing them here this is not the place. I wouldn’t even say this is the place for adults to come. It is a caravan park advertised as lodges.
Other negatives
Uncomfy beds
Rock hard pillows
Stained vinyl
Stained bedding
Hair on beds which wasn’t ours
Small showers
Broken shower in en-suite
Do not book with this rip off company
Do not book with this rip off company. Yes the lodge was lovely very clean well equipped but what they fail to tell you is you will be woken at 7 45am by land moving monster trucks diggers beeping constantly lorries dumping soil/ gravel and men shouting to each other until about 4 30pm in the afternoon! Not a holiday at all it caused more stress for my family who had paid an awful lot of money for 4 days relaxation. We were up everyday by 8am due to the noise having to go out everyday unable to use the hot tub as the noise dust and flies were everywhere. I complained we were given a £100 which I told Emily was not exceptable as £25 each was nowhere near the outlay of having to leave the lodge to buy lunch and use extra petrol. WE WERE NOT ADVISED OF ANY BUILDING WORK TAKING PLACE. The water was also turned off on the whole site NO ONE WAS INFORMED BUT THE SITE KNEW THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN. NO WATER. Trying to get this sorted has been a nightmare. No one is interested. The site management is totally inadequate and should be looked at. I have video footage of the building site so they can not deny the amount of noise and disruption we had during our expensive 4 day stay. The current climate makes it more important for these companies to accommodate hard working families who have worked long and hard to pay for their holiday in such trying times.
