Wickes - Welwyn Garden City Anmeldelser

Mitchell facilitated a great customer service with knowledge and a very helful service and gave us a great deal.

I popped into my local Wickes store to have some paint mixed to a specific colour. A staff member called out for assistance and a staff member attended the paint area. I presented a colour card of what I had chose from another store. It took a couple of attempts to get the correct or closest colour and then it went into the mixing machine. The staff member was politely chatty and engaging thru ought my experience and made it a joy to be in this store. Whilst there, an autistic child approached, waving and wanting to shake hands and was fascinated with the mixing machine, wanting to play with the buttons, especially the BIG RED button. The nice staff member mixing my paint engaged with the child, expressing so much empathy and compassion, making my experience that more beautiful. I believe the staff members name was Mitchel and it was in the Welwyn Garden City store of Hertfordshire. Mitchel's positive attitude, professionalism and knowledge of products was outstanding and because this particular staff member, i will find reasons to come back. Thank you Mitchel.

A well - stocked shop with very helpful customer service. I chose Wickes to get a few bits and bobs from as they supported a local school that I work for with a generous grant and a donation of play resources, which is very rare these days and has made a huge difference to our children. I got expert advice on wood paints, gardening products at a good price and a few very useful bits for my DIY projects, which were all easy to find. Highly recommended. Thank you!

I’m so impressed with Wickes in Welwyn Garden City. They have been incredibly generous to Holy Family school, donating funds and a high-quality playhouse for the OPAL project. It’s rare to find a big brand that truly invests in the local community. A huge thank you to Michael the manager for being so helpful and making a real difference for the children!

Order a click and collect it was ready within 5 mins!
When picking up I needed further assistance with plasterboard and Greg was super helpful. I would highly recommend this store

Absolute waste of time.

Booked in for a bathroom and kitchen design appointment. The person was so uninterested, would not look at our drawings or measurements. Did not offer any real advice and wanted us to rebook a home visit appointment. We were there for 5min. Absolutely wasted our time, we had set our Sunday aside to talk to a professional and go through our options. He clearly did not want to do anything and happily let us leave.

Today my husband and I were helped by Chris who was fabulous. He helped us determine product codes to ensure we bought the right tiles and helped move items for us when we couldn't. Please pass on our thanks to Chris for his wonderful customer service. We really appreciate it.

Me and my partner went to the store to grab some tools and we had a lovely experience with the kindness of the staff that was there I would definitely recommend it all of the other people
Name of staff Mitchell Carter

I was so impressed with Mitchell I went back and bought my sink taps which he helped me choose

Fantastic service and a friendly team :) the help and guidance I got from the staff on my last visit was brilliant. I will be back again!

We used Wickes to design and fit our new kitchen.
The design team were informative and the products were good quality. They arranged for a fitter to install who was also very knowledgeable.

Great shopping experience. Got everything we needed. Very helpful staff.

Staff are supporting without being pushy and ready to help

I’m always popping in for odd bits and bobs for DIY jobs (most recently installing a frame tv 😭). The staff are very handy when I come in for something I don’t know anything about, always happy to point in the right direction without making me feel silly for asking. Definitely would feel comfortable coming back here for bigger jobs too.

Amy Tang was really helpful in helping us plan and source a new shower room. She was proactive, enthusiastic and really knowledgeable. Amy was also extremely patient when our order needed to be changed. She’s great and we’d highly recommend her.

The whole experience was very easy and straightforward, I booked the appointment online then met with Amy, who was wonderful, using her experience and knowledge I was provided with plans and illustrations for the bathroom that I wanted and at a decent price.

Went to the Welwyn store today and got everything I needed to paint my bathroom with the help of a lovely lady Jen, very helpful and knowledgeable, thank you!

Mitchell, Chris and Dora were very helpful and lovely! Would highly recommend :)

Great store we're super friendly staff. I was a pleasure to shop there.

We recently visited Wickes in Welwyn Garden City and had an outstanding experience from start to finish.

A special thank you to Amy Tang, who provided truly exceptional service. She personally came to our home, carefully measured the space and created a thoughtful and well designed plan for our new bathroom. What really stood out was the time she took to explain every decision she made, from layout choices to practical details, ensuring we felt confident and informed throughout the process.

Her professionalism, expertise and friendly approach made everything feel straightforward and stress free. We are absolutely delighted with the service and would not hesitate to recommend Wickes in Welwyn Garden City, especially Amy, to anyone planning a new bathroom.
