Service has been horrendous Issues to date. When I asked if this is typical of the service from Wickes I was told”not normally “

Issues so far

1. Broken bath when delivered
2. Worktop unavailable- not notified before install started and meant a trip to Wickes to pick a new one
3. Broken tiles - over a week to get a response from customer services. Also have boxes left that can’t be retuned
4. Installer was a day late starting
5. No bath taps/ should have been ordered but missed off design
6. Different coloured grout around the bathroom
7. Hot and cold taps the wrong way on sink and shower
8. Extractor fan not fitted
9. Tiles don’t line up.
10. No contact from the customer services team
11. Tiles at ceiling level not corked in
12. Hole knocked through to daughters bedroom not fixed
13.Chipped tiles
14. Chipped worktop
15. Top not sealed
16. Window not grouted
17. Chipped tiles behind door

This was supposed to be completed last week and because of mistakes no end in site . So left with no bathroom with two young children in the house

Michelle has gone above and beyond to provide Millbrook Primary School with compost for our vegetable garden through the community project.

At first we were happy. The Oxford Store Manager went above and beyond to help us, for example. But we felt let down by the designer who worked hard until she got her commision and then lost interest. She left the company and no-one was appointed to look after us in her stead The installer team worked hard but their boss was pushy, did not keep promises and did not tell the truth. The customer service team did not want to listen to / take up any complaints and instead told me to be honest in my review. Hence this. The installer left a large piece of waste at our house and never came to collect it despite several promises so we had to get rid of it ourselves. Overall a mixed experience and I don't think we would want to repeat it. I have not named the installer but Wickes know who they are.

Very helpful, knowledgeable and gave me excellent and clear advice.

I often visit the shop 7 to 7.30 on an evening when travelling is quicker. When buying bags of cement / sand at this time you often have to fight through a lot of split bags on the top. There seems to be a new brand of sand being stocked which is a very different colour - both sharp and soft - from previous brands. It is not of a local area colour so, if you use it, you have to use a different source to do the exposed pointing. Also the sharp sand is not sufficiently gritty. I find eg AWBS stocked sands a much more consistent colour, a grittier sharp sand and the set colour more fitting to the Oxfordshire area. I would prefer to pay more for a better quality product.

Luca Linfoot is a true professional. He helped me with the design of my kitchen. He listened to my concerns and solved them. Showing me all the alternatives in position, size, appliance, and colour. I found him to be very friendly

Unfortunately, I have had a very unpleasant experience. The worktop I ordered was cut incorrectly. Customer service investigated the issue and informed me that I needed to contact the showroom where the order was placed.

I have sent multiple emails to Chris at the Wickes Oxford showroom, but I have been completely ignored.

Due to the lack of response and poor customer service, I will not be using Wickes again and would not recommend them to anyone.

Luca Linfoot at Wickes Oxford was amazing. My bathroom is small & a weird shape, but he completely understood my vision & was able to find workarounds for the limited space where needed. Incredibly happy with the design & can't wait for it to be installed!

Luca has been brilliant, helping to translate my needs and ideas for my new bathroom and downstairs toilet. He took his time to go through everything with me and accommodated my many questions and requests. I'm really excited to see his design come to life. I know I will be really proud of my new bathroom and downstairs toilet.

Luca Linfoot designed our kitchen for us, he was brilliant, talked us through everything, from products to pricing. Took his time with designing this for us, listened to our wants and likes. Highly recommend. We can’t wait to get out kitchen fitted. Thanks Luca :)

Everything went brilliant, from meeting the designer - Luca Linfoot all the way to Benjamin installing it. Ran into minor issues during the installation, but between Luca and Ben it was resolved very fast and the final day was earlier then expected.

Wickes design consultant was very helpful. Simon Thomas and the Red Dragon installation team were great. They squeaked the kitchen in before Christmas, I get to cook Christmas dinner with all new appliances.

Melissa helped us make decisions and was patient when we weren't sure. Yet to be installed but the design process has been easy and thus far I'm very impressed. I've used a different store before and this store has ensured I'll use them again!

We applied to the Wickes Community Programme as part of a project we have to install some new planters at our Scout group. Michelle and the team at the Oxford store were very happy to help and we were able to arrange collection of some materials only a few weeks after I sent off the application. Many thanks to the team at Wickes Oxford!

This review is for Red Dragon Oxford, the company that ripped out and replaced our large kitchen, including entirely replacing old flooring across the whole downstairs (formerly a very tired old tile) with lovely new underfloor heating and LVT flooring, upgrading our circuit breakers and a nice fresh paint job too.

Let me first say, Simon and his team hit a MASSIVE roadblock on day 1 when they discovered a historic problem with the concrete beneath the floor of the extended part of the house (something the inspection back then had missed, it precedes us as owners, former workman error it seems!) and they were faced the problem of ripping up the lot down to the base, replacing damp proof course and building up a brand new floor. This is something none of us were expecting and Simon was quick to reassure us that there was no question, they would stay and do the extra work. Which...well you can imagine how grateful we were! They were still able to finish the job in a very timely way despite this, and it's top notch, we are so so happy with it.

The tiling and worktops by Andrei are, chefs kiss! Immaculate! My husband had a clear vision for the arrangement of colours and Andrei nailed it spot on! I will share pictures if I can figure out how.

Adam and Jamie upgraded all the electrics and there was a lot to do, Max worked on all the plumbing, fantastic job all round and they were always so happy to talk things through with us as well.

Of course we have to say a huge thank you to Alex and all involved in the flooring because that was a truly epic undertaking and it's turned out great, they've managed to make the inspection hole accessible in a way that is practically invisible, and the underfloor heating works beautifully, we have toasty feet now right on time for Christmas.

I have to comment on just how clean and tidy the team were. Even when our house was an enormous building site with a pile of rubble in the middle of it, they managed to keep everything contained such that we could live cleanly and at ease in the rest of the house (a big concern of mine with a young child running around!)

Simon, Alex and the team: thank you so much for giving us the best Christmas ever.

A final comment to thank Melissa from Wickes for her help designing the kitchen and in her communication and navigating things.

The design consultant Melissa could not have been more helpful. She was very efficient and came up with great ideas for my new, pink and grey, bathroom. I did have some problems with delivery of some of the items, which was not Wickes fault, but Melissa was on it and everything was resolved. All the products I bought are of good quality and my builder was very happy with them.
