What an absolutely fantastic experience. From start to finish our kitchen design and fit was an excellent journey of service. Both Duncan (Wickes sales and design) and Andy (fitter/joiner) were easy to deal with, attentive and had superb attention to detail. Both me and my partner cannot be any more complimentary. Design to fitting finished was around 6 weeks with almost no snagging requirements. Duncan even called in after the fitting to check in on the project.

We had our new bathroom designed by Duncan Woolmer in the Grantham store and Duncan was brilliant and so professional and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Duncan supported us through the whole process and we are so pleased with our new Wickes bathroom. All the staff in Grantham are so helpful too, with thanks to Clare also for her fantastic customer service. I’d gladly recommend Wickes Grantham design services if you’re planning a new bathroom/kitchen etc.

The staff at the Head Office or at the Grantham branch are excellent, nothing is to much trouble. They are always willing to help or give good advise which helps with my purchasing of the items I require.

Sometimes the timber I require may not be up to standard, especially if I order it on-line to be delivered, so it is better to go to the branch and pick out the items.

We were looking to purchase a new kitchen but with not having much of an idea of what style colour quality or price we approached a member of staff for some advice and from that moment on Duncan made our journey from start to finish and an absolute breeze.
Duncan was extremely polite very professional, had a mountain of knowledge regarding items and kitchen supplies.

No rushing, no pressure sales and he took the time to show us all of the options and prices available to us. We are both very happy with the experience and with our new bathroom. A great experience throughout, from measurement through to delivery. I had to make lots of small changes which were no problem at all for Alannah and no matter how many changes or new ideas I had, they were all accommodated happily. Advice was good throughout and massively helped me in the decision making. 10/10 would recommend!

Visited the Grantham store yesterday & saw Duncan Woolmer, who painstakingly went through our kitchen plans to suit our needs & budget. A great deal of patience was exercised on his part, & we now have our ideal kitchen to look forward to.

We spoke with Duncan throughout the whole process. He made everything as stress free as possible. Being a young couple with no clue on renovations, he could have tried to up sell us on everything but didn't. Duncan actually advised us on ways to achieve pur dream bathroom all while remaining in our budget.
The workmen that fitted the bathroom were also incredible as they agreed to do it last minute after the initial installer left wickes. They were super patient with all the questions I had and were very clean and accommodating.

I can recommend the team enough and should I need my kitchen doing I'll be coming back.

Utility and Boot room vibe. An amazing project from starting sig Duncan made the home visits and the experience really personal. We are thrilled with the finished product and would thoroughly recommend!

We went through the design process with Wickes for our bathroom and it was issue after issue throughout the whole process.

We initially decided to go with Wickes and the design service to make it easier, by using one company we thought it would be less stressful however this has not been the case.

We dealt with the designer and as soon as we had signed the agreement, and they had their commission we never heard from them again. I understand that anything not design related wouldn't have been them, yet I sent them multiple emails, and my husband rang the store multiple times to talk to them about a design related issue. They didn't respond to any of my emails and my husband was always told that they would ask them to ring us. They never did call back, the only time we spoke to them was when we popped into store and even then the store manager dealt with us.

Multiple things had to be changed from the design that they did, which meant we had to pay an extra £760 for these amendments. This was due to things that the designer didn't pick up on, we expected there to be a slight difference from what was originally quoted of £1100, yet we have actually paid £2560 in total. For example a stud wall had to be put in for the type of shower fitting, the designer didn't accommodate for this, and this was costly. If we had known this within the design process, we may have considered an alternative. As I'm sure you can appreciate, finding this extra money can be stressful especially as I am pregnant, and this wasn't covered in the finance.

Another example, is that the designer sold us a vanity stand which could not be fitted due to the incorrect dimensions. This stand was priced at £160 approximately luckily, we were able to return this in store. However, we had to jump through some hoops to do so and required us to speak to the store manager, as yet again the designer would not return our calls.

We felt it would be a disservice to future customers if we didn't state our concerns and issues and would not recommend this service in the future. It would be cheaper and less stressful to do it ourselves and hire a fitter, which in turn completely negates the use of the design service.

I sent an email to the customer service representative that had been dealing with us and received no response.

Now here we are 4 months later and our radiation has come out of the wall, I have contacted Wickes multiple times and attached photos. I am still yet to hear back from them, there seems to be no urgency or apologies regarding any of this.

My husband has now contacted the fitted who was contracted through Wickes directly, to arrange for them to come and fix this. Yet, this has been an issue going on two weeks now and Wickes still haven’t made an effort to rectify it or even respond to my original email sent nearly four months ago.

Absolutely shocking customer service, we definitely would not use this service again and would not recommend the company to anyone looking to get a bathroom or kitchen fitted.
