As a volunteer-run fundraising group, every bit of help makes such a difference to what we can achieve for the children. Your kindness and support are genuinely appreciated and will help us continue making improvements and creating even better opportunities for the children at St Paul’s.

I placed my click and collect in the car park and to my surprise it was ready when I went in! Staff helped me load it into van without asking, great service

I received good customer service after popping into store on the weekend for an STS drill. The staff on the till were very helpful, even got the product out so I could compare the different attachments, making sure I got the right tools for my patio removal!

staff on the counter seemed knowleage about my plumbing setup. Had two of the three parts I was after but the chap with the man bun was able to reccomend another shop down the road for the last part after looking on web for me. Very impressed with his attention, most shops would never help you find something if they didn't have it in stock. store was much more organized and tidy than my local wickes, staff were on the ball and it shows. hope the other stores can learn from this one, hands down best wickes store i've stopped at in a while

Spoke with Oscar in the showroom, he was able to answer all my questions about having a kitchen designed I’ve been a fitter most of my life so know if somebody knows what they are talking about… even though i wasnt ready to book an appointment, nothing was too much trouble. Very happy with the experience and fantastic showroom compared to B&Q! Will be back in January!

Top class ace management and a good team.

We experienced excellent service from Kerry at Wickes and their installers Drew and Tom from Buttercross Installations.

We wanted to move and extended our en-suite bathroom. Great design from Kerry. Everything arrived on time and in full from the Suppliers and the Installers were first class.

Extremely pleased and would highly recommend Kerry and Wickes (and Buttercross Renovations) if you are considering a Kitchen or Bathroom upgrade.

Wickes at Chippenham have been brilliant in supporting our community project by providing decorating equipment for our club. Thank you Emma and the team from Colerne Rugby club

Absolutely outstanding service at Wickes. I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

A special mention has to go to Nathan, who was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. He went above and beyond to help us, was incredibly knowledgeable, patient and genuinely seemed to care about making sure we got exactly what we needed. Nothing felt like too much trouble for him, and the level of customer service he provided was a massive credit to Wickes.

It’s quite rare nowadays to come across someone who takes that much pride in helping customers. Nathan didn’t just point us in the right direction — he took the time to understand what we needed, offered genuinely useful advice and made the whole experience straightforward and stress-free.

I hope Wickes recognises employees like Nathan because he is exactly the sort of person who makes you want to return to a store. We walked away extremely impressed.

10/10 service. Nathan is an absolute credit to the team and deserves recognition for the way he looks after customers. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this Wickes to anyone.

Lovely place helpful staff

Probably the worst experience I have had for many a year. Sadly I had to give one star to proceed with my review.
I purchased 2 shelf brackets and an Oak shelf in August. I decided I needed to put another one up that was slightly shorter (90cm Vs 120cm).
I checked on the website which told me that one was available in the Wickes World, so I went along to my local Wickes to buy one.
Of course not in stock in my local Wickes so I asked a shop assistant to help me.
In a nutshell if I wanted the shorter shelf I would need to have it delivered to my house at a cost of £5, as it was Internet only and could not be purchased with Click & Collect.
I thought the whole purpose of Click & Collect was that I Clicked, paid and Collected it from my local store.
Sadly the Manager confirmed that I needed to pay £5 if I wanted that shelf and it would be delivered.
Went round to B&Q, who were much more helpful.
Bye Wickes, one less customer.
I leave you with the all edged quote from Ghandi, as the Wickes view of a customer is the polar opposite.

“A customer is the most important visitor on our premises. He is not dependent on us. We are dependent on him. He is not an interruption of our work. He is the purpose of it. He is not an outsider of our business. He is part of it. We are not doing him a favour by serving him. He is doing us a favour by giving us the opportunity to do so.”

Update, as I can’t seem to respond to the comments from Wickes.
The response is a platitude and makes no suggestion of any change in future that might benefit the customer.
It reinforces my view that I would rather shop at another DIY store that will listen to the customer.
