Great Experiences With Five Tours from Walks of Italy
I arranged five tours with Walks of Italy for our family in August 2025 -- three with two adults and two with six adults and four children. This included the Pristine Sistine, Premium Colosseum, Borghese Gallery, Florence in a Day and Venice tours. The tour guides were all very impressive with their knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject matter. We learned a great deal and enjoyed some unique experiences as a result of participating in the tours. I highly recommend Walks of Italy.

Clear instructions about the meeting point, comfortable transport, a great guide who explained everything in detail, relaxed pace of the trip without rushing, small group of 14 people, and the perfect organisation of the tour by the company made this tour a very enjoyable one!

The experience was amazing! As a photograher, access to the terraces and the cathedral after hours, devoid of crowds, was increcible. I would definately recommend this tour.

Wonderful guide but tricky getting into Saint Peter's Basilica
Guide was wonderful and enthusiastic. Only downside was the some difficulty in getting into Saint Peter's Basilica which was guaranteed on our ticket but wasn't recognised by the staff at the gate after the main tour. Thankfully they let us in despite that error.

Individual tours we booked whilst on our Viking river cruise and Ocean cruises, All of the separate tours from Viking which were booked thru Walks of Italy, which we were adivsed to use from our travel agent were excellent! They left us high and dry when the…
They left us high and dry when the Vatican was closed unexpectedly the day of our tour. We understand that was unexpected, but they had the ability to reschedule us and did not follow through. We had planned our short stay in Rome around their promise to take us to the Vatican and Museum. We received notice of the closure at bedtime before our early morning tour, so arrived over an hour early to seek assistance rebooking Vatican admission for the following day. At that point, we still had over 24 hours for them to arrange to rebook us for the next day. Two different representatives agreed to assist us, or connect us with someone who could, but neither followed through to help us.

Thank you for reaching out, and please accept our sincere apologies for the disappointment. While the Vatican occasionally closes for unannounced Papal events or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, we understand how much you were looking forward to this experience.
We always strive, as the operator of the tour to rebook guests whenever possible. The Vatican require names on the tickets prior to the tours taking place. As your stay was short it may have stopped that being a viable option.
We truly regret that we couldn't make it work during your short stay in Rome.

Worth every cent!
Claudia was so knowledgeable, fun and accommodating. She was prompt and prepared (as were the two other staffers) and provided good props for us to really view the Sistine Chapel Getting in ahead of the general public was worth every dollar, even in the low season.

Rome In A Day Tour
As a first-time visitor to Rome, the Rome in a Day Tour was invaluable. My tour guide was so knowledgeable of both the historical sites and art of Rome. She really made the day and the whole trip.
