Ça fait 4 JOURS en ligne que j’attends pour parler à quelqu’un. J’attends à 3 numéro de leur « pas » service à la clientèle + j’attends en clavardage. IMPOSSIBLE d’avoir non plus un service en français. Ça revient toujours en anglais. ATTENTION! Ils ont 2 sites internet. Un payant (pas du tout annoncé) et un gratuit. J’essayais de m’ouvrir un compte et non seulement je ne suis pas capable de m’en créer un, mais ils ont débité 2X 30$. Sans avis. ÉPOUVANTABLE comme COMPAGNIE!!!

This company is the worst I have ever dealt with, and I would not deal with them for a second if I had the choice, but I was forced to.
They give you a hard time for no reason. Its client service agents are like parrots. They repeat what they were programmed to say. It seems that thinking and communication with the clients are banned.
What surprises me is how this company can survive with this shitty customer service.
When I felt I was talking to someone very ignorant, I asked her to speak to her supervisor. She said, I have no supervisor. Is there someone I can complain to? The answer is NO.
I dealt with 100s of companies in North America. Never seen this stupidity and lack of support for their customer.
I personally did not go to them by choice. I was sent to them by another government agency, which has its system under cyber attack. I complained to the company CIRO, Canada Investment Regulatory Organization, which I will write a review about later.
Canadians are plagued by companies that live off the system and abuse their customers, knowing they can get away with it.
For your info, there is NO PLACE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS SHITTY COMPANY.

C'est la pire compagnie au monde. Il y a des erreurs dans mon dossier. J'ai fait une contestation depuis le 15 novembre 2025. On me dit que cela prend 1 mois pour avoir une réponse. Nous sommes le 24 Janvier 2026 et toujours pas de réponse. J'ai demandé à 3 reprises d'avoir un appel d'un gestionnaire, en vain.
Je me tourne maintenant vers l'office de la protection du consommateur et le Commissariat fédéral pour porter plainte. Je suggére que tous les consommateur qui ont le même problème porte plainte aussi.
SIN number collection - should not happen
Had a piece of ID stolen. Called TransUnion to create an account to put a fraud alert. They told my mom to give them her SIN number. She is too trusting and gave it. Now they won't remove it. The process is to send a typed letter to a mailbox and wait 30 days for confirmation to remove something they shouldn't have asked to begin with. They did not inform her that this was optional and pushed her to give it and store it. This is horrible. The government ought not to allow private companies to collect SIN numbers. These people need to be sued.
Also, now you can't even verify yourself, which means the website is crappy. How is this not one credit bureau that is governmental? Why are private companies storing our personal information against fraud? What the heck does the government do? Preposterous!
Issued are not resolved
Agents are difficult to understand. They read from a script and do not listen to what you say. Even if you open a case, your issue will not be addressed. The company is one of the worst I've ever dealt with.

Quelqu'un a changé mon adresse résidentiel dans mon dossier personnel, comment je ne sait pas. Je communique avec eux par téléphone pour corriger mon adresse en m'identifiant correctement, par contre il me demande d'envoyer des preuves en ligne en utilisant leur site web (ocs.transunion.ca). Je leur envoie en les téléchargeant sur leur site exactement comme il me l'on demandé. Je rappelle 5 min après avoir envoyé pour vérifier si il les avais reçu (de mon coté en les envoyant cela indiquait RÉUSSI en vert), le téléphoniste me dit de rappeler dans 2-3 heures pour qu'il les reçoivent(supposément délai d'attente de système interne). Je rappelle 4h après, la nouvelle personne me dit que cela peut prendre 1 journée. Je demande a ce qu'un superviseur me rappelle(car supposément indisponible), il me disent que quelqu'un va me rappeler dans un délai de 72h. Je n'ai jamais reçu d'appel en retour. Je rappelle alors a nouveau après le délai en demandant si il on reçu maintenant les documents (soit 1 semaine plus tard). Il ne les on pas encore reçu!! Il me disent de les retélécharger a nouveau!! Je retélécharge a nouveau les documents. Je rappelle le lendemain, la personne me dit que cela peut prendre jusqu'à 3 jours avant de les recevoir (aucun téléphoniste ne dit la même chose). Je demande alors a avoir une autre méthode et il me suggère par la poste (on est en décembre 2025 allo la technologie!). Je prépare alors une lettre avec les documents que j'envoie aujourd'hui...a suivre...mais j'ai le présentiment que cela n'ira pas bien! Entreprise de médiocre qualité!! Jamais je ne m'abonnerais a leur service et jamais je ne ferais de bon commentaire!
Un service médiocre pour une entreprise dont on est obligé d'utiliser lorsque nous demandons une demande de crédit par un fournisseur de service.

OMG What have they not done wrong? They not only messed up my credit score by inaccurately attaching someone else's collections to my credit score, but it's been almost 2 months, and they have not been able to correct it after I submitted a dispute. I've had to call and keep on top of them. It's been 2 months, and they have done nothing to make this go faster. It's supposed to be done and closed in 30 days. We're going on 45 days and they are no closer to getting this other ladies collections off my credit score than we were in October.

Transunion is the worst - they get information wrong all the time and it takes forever to correct it. Very concerning for a credit company!
Scam
Signed up to get the one time credit report and cancelled membership right away. Transunion kept taking my money on a monthly basis. I had to report my card lost stolen to get out of the Transunion scam. There is no other recourse.
If I could give this company a negative…
If I could give this company a negative star rating of minus five or more I certainly would. Due to their utter negligence and incompetence they have caused me massive personal and financial difficulties, resulting in me being refused loans (due to their incorrect information held on my credit report) and several months of trying to put my records right, involving applications and appeals to the finance ombudsman. Their own systems of communication make it all but impossible to contact them and have any meaningful conversation which could change things for the better; how can you even see the information held against you when the personal details you use to log in are rejected, since they fail to match the incorrect details held in their files?!
So, after months of going round in circles and hours of attempting to correct their wrongs, I have received not a single word of apology or admission of them ever being at fault - and yet they wield the power to persuade other financial institutions that any given individual is a bad bet and unworthy of trust or borrowing rights. Companies like TransUnion should not be allowed to practise, let alone act with such power and authority (as they do, on a global scale) to interfere in people's lives and finances. I can only hope that their abominable record of poor practice catches up with them one day and they are forced to close. They deserve nothing less and a great deal more.
Horrible company
I’d say avoid at all costs, but living in the U.S., I feel like one is forced to deal with this horrendous company. Maybe this applies to other countries as well? I created a login in order to freeze credit and managed to do that. Then when I went to log in again my login was not recognized. I was given an alternate way to log in which was not recognized as valid. I called, got a robot, most of my commands were misunderstood, I was give the option to talk to a person, which I accepted, so the system hung up on me and stuck me in a chat. The person in the chat gave me a non-functioning web link to use and when I pointed out that it was not functional, they blamed it on my browser. After following their directions to try another browser (I tried two) it still didn’t work so they told me they wouldn’t help me unless I opened the web page. They gave me the option to get help by calling the same number that I called to begin with (robot, not helpful, hung up). I never got me issue dealt with. I had zero problems with the other two credit agencies. It is absurd that this company is allowed to remain open and exert power over people.
Impossible to cancel account
I created an account in 2023 in order to get a credit score to pay off a loan. There was never any money owing, no transactions after the first one. All my information is on the website and I was able to pull it up. However, they were not willing to cancel my account without me doing another credit report - then sending hard copy mail of all my informationin to them. How ironic that they're supposed to honor very tight control over personal information but they're ok with leaving personal information in unused account for years, vulnerable to data breach.

If I can give TransUnion a zéro star or negative ten thousand stars I would do that. Absolutely the worst of the worst company. They should be banned by the government from Customers Protection Agency. The support staff is very poorly trained in Africa and India. Each time I call, they have no idea what I am talking about. I have to tell my whole story again and again. When I ask for the status of my dossier , The only thing they can say is be patient and wait. They told me the issue is resolved in 30 days maximum , my file was in charged for 60 days and not resolved. Every time I call, The support staff cannot give any status of the issue, no date of resolution and cannot escalate. I cannot imagine any bank would use their terrible and disgusting services. The top management of TransUnion is the real cause of their offering. They don’t care about customers. Period.

Registered on their site, as I had ( false) information on my credit report to be corrected. Then tried to log in, with my password, would not take my password. So tried option with the secret question. Would not take my secret question answer either...what the h...??? There is a glitch somewhere.
