Tradecert is UK-built electrical certification software designed specifically for electricians, contractors, and small electrical businesses. Our platform helps electricians create, manage, and store electrical certificates quickly and accurately, whether working on domestic, commercial, or industrial installations.
The software supports a full range of UK electrical certificates, including EIC, EICR, and Minor Works, as well as fire alarm certification, emergency lighting certificates, EV charging installation certificates, and other statutory compliance documentation — all aligned with current UK regulations.
Tradecert is built to reduce admin time, minimise errors, and simplify compliance by guiding users through each certificate step-by-step. Electricians can complete certificates on site or in the office, with clear layouts and intelligent prompts that reduce rework and missed information.
A key feature of Tradecert is its use of AI-powered tools to speed up certification. Electricians can upload photos of distribution boards, fire alarm panels, emergency lighting systems, and previous certificates — allowing the software to automatically extract relevant data and populate certificate fields. The platform also includes intelligent observations, suggested wording, and regulation references to help improve accuracy and consistency.
Tradecert works across mobile and web, supports offline use while on site, and syncs securely to the cloud when an internet connection is available. Built with feedback from working electricians, it is ideal for sole traders and small electrical teams who want reliable certification software without unnecessary complexity.

My friend had been using tradecert for…
My friend had been using tradecert for a while and we were working together on an industrial eicr, he took a few pics of the distribution boards and the old eicr certs and within an hour he had the whole installation details logged! We simply then tested and edited any changes as we went along.
I have previously spent the following day/ days in the office typing every detail one box at at time, this saved hours and hours of time.
The AI double checking is also time saving.
This is literally a game changer

Hi Justin,
Thank you for such a detailed review. It’s brilliant to hear how Tradecert helped speed up your industrial EICR by importing distribution board details and information from previous certificates using AI.
Saving electricians from spending hours manually entering circuit and installation data is exactly what we built Tradecert to do. We’re also pleased that AI Check is helping you review certificates more efficiently and catch potential issues.
“Game changer” is a huge compliment — thank you for your support.

Moving to Tradecert has been a breath…
Moving to Tradecert has been a breath of fresh air. We tried a few different systems after our governing body changed its software, and Tradecert is by far the best we've come across.
We've been subscribed for a few months now, and I can't believe how much time it saves me on every certificate. The few issues I had while getting to grips with the software were sorted out immediately through the live chat and callback service, which was excellent.
The AI feature can fill in complete consumer units and is impressively accurate. That said, we find the software so quick and easy to use that we rarely need the AI unless we're working on a particularly large board.
An absolute game changer for me. Highly recommended.

Hi Steve,

It’s great to hear that you find the software quick and easy to use, while our AI consumer unit import is there to make larger distribution boards even faster. We’re also pleased our live chat and callback support resolved your questions straight away.
Being described as the best electrical certification software you’ve used and a “game changer” means a great deal to the whole team. Thank you for recommending Tradecert.

I cannot express how much Tradecert has…
I cannot express how much Tradecert has revolutionised this industry and without being dramatic.. changed lives… Any Self employed one man band with a young family will tell you how hard getting a second to yourself at home to do anything is, let alone paperwork.. Electrical certs have for time and memorial been the bane of our lives. I remember the handwritten certs and the countless amounts of tipex, hours and hours away from site and away from family.
Tradecert has changed all of this, I can actually start and finish certs and reports onsite, hot spotting from my phone and in half the amount of time, everything flows and tbh I actually enjoy doing them.
I recently had to go back to the NICEIC certification to duplicate a form and it was so so clunky, my hard was pounding in the end.
I have recently just won a tender for an EICR in a secondary school, 500 odd circuits, there is no way I would have been able to compete using any other certification platform, I know how it all works, it’s all clearly infront of me and I can literally do an board in half the amount of time, plus I don’t have to go home and type it up as it’s all completed on site.
Absolute winner and I would bet anything that once used for one cert you will never go anywhere else.
This is the best thing I’ve experienced in this industry in 28 years!
Game changer.

Hi James,
Thank you for taking the time to write such an incredible review. Hearing that Tradecert has genuinely improved your working life and given you more time with your family means more to us than we can express.
We built Tradecert to help electricians complete certificates and reports efficiently on site, rather than spending evenings manually typing up paperwork. It’s brilliant to hear that you can now complete an entire distribution board in around half the time and confidently take on a 500-circuit school EICR using the platform.
Being described as the biggest improvement you’ve experienced in the electrical industry in 28 years is an enormous compliment. Reviews like this motivate our entire team to keep improving Tradecert and building the best electrical certification software possible.
Congratulations on winning the tender, and thank you again for your support.

Highly recommended!
We’ve been using Tradecert for the past two months, and I only wish we’d started using it sooner.
The app is incredibly easy to use, and the AI-powered tools have saved us a huge amount of time. It’s completely transformed the way we produce our EICRs, improving both the quality of our reports and our turnaround times. What used to take up to two weeks when completed manually is now often turned around the same day.
It’s also extremely useful when multiple engineers return to the same job. All the job information is stored in one place, with photos and supporting information readily available, making handovers seamless and ensuring everyone has the information they need.
Tradecert has saved us far more than just office admin time. It has reduced confusion on site, improved communication between engineers, and helped eliminate time wasted sourcing incorrect materials. Overall, it’s made our workflow more efficient, more professional, and much more organised.
