Elpida was an amazing storyteller. She brought the Minoan civilization to life and we really enjoyed her tour of museum and of the palace. One of the best tours we have ever taken

This was my first time using Tours by Locals and I can say I was very impressed. The ease of booking and the communication that followed was spot on. Silvia, our guide communicated in advance, was on time and truly a spectacular guide. She remembered our preferences, and gave a an incredible tour of Paris, seeing locations and neighborhoods that I would never have seen on my own, along with great history and tips for the rest of our trip...she was simply fantastic! I am a seasoned traveler and always have done my own research and self toured many cities, so I was a bit hesitant to hire a guide, but my friends recommended it after a trip to Scotland. I intentionally booked this tour on day 2 of of our 5 day trip to help get the lay of the land and it was the BEST thing I could have done, as the remainder of our stay was so much easier now that I knew where to go and what I wanted to re-visit in detail, along with other general tips about seeing and experiencing Paris. Thank you Silvia, you truly made our trip extra special!!!!!!!!

Adam was a fabulous tour guide. He had great nuggets/fun facts to share throughout. He provided a nice mix of history and current affairs along with both the good and dark sides of Charleston's past. We went on another city tour last year and I thought that guide was great but Adam blew him out of the water! Highly recommend. Great storyteller.

Nick gave our group a wonderful tour of Philadelphia. We wanted to focus on the history of the city and he was incredibly knowledgeable and articulate. He gave us some great tips on other "don't miss" attractions including some incredible museums. In summary, he was a fantastic tour guide and our tour was definitely a 10!

I had a toursbylocals tour in Arimatsu, near Nagoya. This is a town steeped in shibori history and I would recommend the tour for any textile enthusiast. The tour guide Mikari has excellent English, knows everyone associated with textile history in the town and is very generous with her time. I would 100% recommend Mikari and hopefully will go back for another tour in the future.

We were a small group and Tuyan was able to give us all the information we needed and answer all questions.we able to fit many events into a relatively short time.

We had an amazing experience with our guide Viviana in Quito, Ecuador. She brought both knowledge and passion to our tour; was flexible with her time; and was able to make history come to life throughout the tour. We were interested in culture and anthropology and Viviana pointed out and explained things we would never have noticed or understood without her expert guidance.

Dimitrios was an exceptional guide! Our small group of six made the experience feel personal and engaging. His deep knowledge of biblical history was truly impressive, and it was clear he has a genuine passion for sharing it.

We visited Berea and Thessaloniki, and every stop was meaningful and well explained. The transportation was very comfortable, and the entire day was seamless from start to finish.

Our guide, Jenny C. made our tour experience genuine. She was knowledgeable, flexible and knew the city, the establishments and the people well. The booking process was easy but even better was the correspondence with Jenny. She was timely in her replies and curated a tour specific to our group's needs and interests.

Asdrubal was a great guide who made our time in Panama very enjoyable. He was friendly and very knowledgeable about the history of his country. He shared many facts about the history of the canal in a very interesting format. The visit to the Embera Village was a definite highlight. It was great to experience the culture of the indigenous community. It was a great day!
