The Ideal Garden Shop were very fair.
I paid for AM delivery. DHL let the Ideal Garden Shop down and delivered at 5pm. The Garden Shop refunded the AM delivery charge. They probably won’t get a refund from DHL as it’s nearly impossible to contact courier companies.

I ordered a corten steel tree ring and a corten steel bottomless planter, Im still waiting for the planter, but the site warned of the 4 week lead time because it is custom made. The tree ring came super quickly after I ordered. Installation was easy and looks great, has absolutely made a feature in my garden. I used the tree ring as a kind of “bottomless planter”, really happy with the result, once the plants grow in, I think it will look great!

Would have been 5 stars but I paid £5 extra for a morning delivery and the parcel turned up at 14.30 hrs.

Easy to order online. I was expecting a wait before delivery of a few weeks, but was happy to receive a phone call to let me know delivery would be sooner than expected.
The items I ordered (cylindrical corten steel ‘bottomless’ planters) are extremely strong and very well made; they will see me out.

Looking for a corten steel tree ring. These were reasonably priced and much higher spec than alternatives. Ordered in the afternoon and arrived the morning of the next day!

Ordered from this company, money taken and two days later receive an email saying out of stock.

Ordered 5 metal weging packs, only 4 got delivered and that too 3 days after the scheduled delivery date. However when contacted member of the staff quickly responded and resolved the issue. Delivery delays can happen sometimes but how responsive you are in the event of an issue reflects the reliability of a company!

We re-designed our small front garden, and needed a very flexible edging product to lay flower borders with curved design. The Core Edge supplied by The Ideal Garden proved an ideal product for our needs. It was delivered within 3 days of ordering. Very helpful YouTube videos that gave advice on how to fit and bend this edging were available.
We settled on use of the 150 mm Cor-Ten product for our border.
The product was very flexible and we managed to bend it to follow our string design quite easily. The connectors were very secure and the height of the edging could be adjusted without affecting the joins. We found that we needed to connect several pieces before bending, as once bent connecting was much harder, and inserting the spikes loosely until final position made is easier to adjust. The connectors required use of pliers as per video, but this was otherwise straight forward for someone with moderate DIY skills. The edging bent to follow the designed curves beautifully. We had some very acute angles to finish the design. Use of angle grinder was needed to make a shallow groove to bend this angle, but this would not be required for lesser angles. The edging was resilient on bending. We used a drop circular saw to cut the final piece to length.
We fitted 2 intricate border shapes within 2 afternoons of work, surprisingly easily for novices. There was no wastage and we used exactly the amount of edging we had measure for (6 packs in total including a bit of spare).
We also bought a few support pins, thinking that we may need these due to soft dug ground and multiple curves. However, we found that he edging did not need additional support, and these were not needed. We instead used these to improve the security of the edging and placed them at intervals around the design. They fitted well and were easy to insert.
We finished the design off with the rubber protection strip. We were impressed with the design of this – it had a metal core that allowed it to follow our intricate design. This finished off the final product beautifully.
We would highly recommend this product, due to it’s versatility, robust design and ease of fitting and have had multiple compliments from passers by.
