Enquires about their mechanronic repair service . to get a response how that the fault would be fixed with a rebuild of the gearbox .... nearly £3k costs
found a guy that refurbed the mechatronic unit for £90 posted and return . done oil change and hey ho car runs and drive great again .

I had a gearbox malfuction light come up on my Rs5 audi,took it to audi,(marshels) in canterbury,they said it was a sensor in the gear box,charged me £3500,got car back,2 weeks later light came back on,big argument with MARSHELS of canterbury,wanted another £7000 to drop whole gear box out.
Fed up i looked online ,found the company The GEARBOX centre in kent,cant heap praise on them enough,they said bring my car in,dropped gear box out,done the repair that was needed,called me back within 2 days saying job was done,(MARSHELS quoted a 7 day repair period).So i went and picked it up,no sales person talk or stuff you dont want to hear,just collect your keys and away,has been a year now,hasnt missed a beat,runs like a dream,really highly recommend the GearBox centre,done a fantastic job.
The audi garage might look all shinny and top notch ,believe its not,The GearBox centre is grass roots engineering,

Had a gearbox done on a Nissan Juke they where very helpful did a great job the gearbox is excellent runs well, highly recommend this company very helpful and professional

The staff were helpful friendly and knowledgable, they had time to listen to what I had experienced with my car and took it for a test ride and also ran a diagnostic test to confirm their suspicions. I was told up front what it would cost and only had to wait a week to be fitted in for the work to be done. A good experience all round.

Dropped my mums car off as it had a gearbox fault, other garages wouldn’t touch it but it was a breeze to deal with Gearbox Centre. Wait time feels long but understandable with the amount of work involved, any issues or concerns you can reach out via WhatsApp to them and usually get a reply within an hour. I used this to get updates on rough ETA of completion and collection ect. 10/10 service and would recommend them to anyone, my cousin has also used them on his Range Rover and agrees it was faultless.

Marc from the Customer service team helped along the way and was incredibly genuine in wanting to help.

I cannot thank The Gearbox Centre Kent enough for the help and service they provided with my SEAT Ateca DSG gearbox issue.

After my vehicle suffered a serious gearbox fault, they quickly diagnosed the problem as a failed DSG mechatronic unit and talked me through the options clearly and honestly. They were extremely helpful throughout the whole process, keeping me informed and making sure I understood what was involved.

What really stood out was their professionalism and willingness to help. They dealt with the warranty process, provided all the information needed, and went above and beyond to make sure the repair was completed properly. They even helped by providing different invoice options to make dealing with the warranty company and supplying dealer easier.

The repair was completed to a very high standard, the communication was excellent, and the vehicle is now driving perfectly again.

I have had clutch breakdown on motorway. Jim couldn't help me immediately because of workload.
But he called several other places to help me. And this was eventually sorted. Such a generosity from Jim.

Called yesterday morning with an issue with my wife's car
The guys agreed to do a diagnostic appointment this morning, and after 30 minutes, they have diagnosed the issue as a bent subframe, not the gearbox
saved me a lot of money and time by being honest
will definitely use them again in the future

Out of 3 garages I contacted only Jim at the Gearbox Centre came back to me with a quote when Matiz auto failed MOT with a transmission oil leak. He kept me informed almost daily of progress and what the issues were and did all he could to help keep costs down by sourcing an extremely hard to find reconditioned torque converter so we didn't have to buy a new one. Can't thank the Gearbox Centre enough and happily recommend them.

Mark and his team was fantastic throughout the process. He really helped us build a strong case for the insurance claim and kept us informed every step of the way. Unfortunately, the claim didn’t work out in the end, but that was beyond their control. The Gearbox Centre is a professional, honest, and trustworthy company that genuinely tries to help its customers. I highly recommend them and would definitely use their services again.

Fantastic communication from the team , I wanted a gearbox supplied only , and in my initial phone call everything was explained from cost to how delivery and collection worked. This was also sent in an email
The gearbox was delivered early so it was at the garage when I bought my car in .
I was in communication with them regularly and nothing was too much trouble for them .
I would definitely recommend them so it’s 5 stars from me .
