Racist Polish Agent or Racist Polish Agency?
A friend of mine, who is Polish, reccomended Supafixa as a reliable agency. You can text then any evening and they will reply back with jobs for you - you select which one you prefer and happy days - youre on your way to making some cash. Personally, I feel like they have a problem with me. Not so much the workers, but the agency themselves. The reason being that I have felt like they have purposely decided to either not get back to me or leave it until last minute to offer me jobs that are so far from my home that they know I wouldnt travel to. They have even sent me to places where they dont even need work. Then they expect me to hang around the area waiting for them to text me back. Various workers have even said to me that the agency is racist, when telling them how I am treated. Theres not much else I can do right now, though, apart from just deal with it. My suspicions were that they are racist - as I remember once being asked for my nationality by the agent. It was out of the blue and I found it quite odd, as all my personal details were given to them already. I asked the agent (Michael - who Polish workers have warned me is a racist) if he would send me an email with all the personal data he requires of me. He never sent it. Why would he ask me out of the blue like this? There has been times where this guy has completely ignored my texts and I havent been given any work at all. There has been times where I have accepted a job and then been text back at 10pm saying 'sorry its cancelled' - as if he changed his mind and gave the job to somebody else. So they are racist? Well, this is what i have heard from multiple Polish workers. He has clearly got a problem with me, as he expects me not to complain when I am getting messed about. I can deal with racism, providing I can get the work. I told the guy, himself that I know how to write an official complaint and here it is. I didnt want to, as when I am supplied jobs, I'm happy. But lately, there has been more and more occasions where he has simply messed me about. He hardly responds to my messages and I do feel like he has something against me. I have never even met or seen the guy! I guess you could expect this kind of stuff from an agency who wants to 'keep it Polish'. Fair enough if they want to keep it Polish. But they advertise in English and Polish! Yet they dont like English workers?! Or is it perhaps that my skin is a darker complexion than your average Englishman? Whatever the case, if they dont like English or 'foreigners' they shouldnt be advertising in English. They should be treating all their workers equally (to a degree), but it doesnt seem that way at all, in my case, so I would love to know what they are going to do about helping me feel more respected as one of their workers and actually be reliable in finding me work.
