Took my disabled son home from The Triangle at 4.00am to Christchurch, refused to drive him to his home, left him with a 10 minute walk, very rude, demanded he got out of the taxi, avoid this company, rude drivers.

Taxi cancelled 3 minutes before it was due to pick us up, no reason given, unreliable, impossible to even book a taxi half of the time

Absolute disgrace.

You make a booking, they don’t show up. You wait over an hour in the freezing cold, only to finally be picked up and told by the driver that “a booking doesn’t mean anything.”

This first happened to a friend and I after a busy event. Knowing taxis would be in high demand, we booked in advance specifically to avoid being stranded. Despite that, we were left waiting a long time in cold conditions.

A few months later, my parents were attending a local gig. I mentioned to my friend that I was considering giving Streamline another chance, despite our previous experience. Her response was, “Absolutely not.” However, I decided to call the company, explain what had happened, and give them the benefit of the doubt.

The woman I spoke to assured me that our previous experience was simply unfortunate and likely due to the event making the night exceptionally busy. While I don’t consider that an acceptable excuse for failing to honour a booking, I accepted her explanation and proceeded to book a taxi for my parents. I made it very clear that they were attending a gig and would require a pickup at a specific time. I was reassured that everything would be fine.

It wasn’t.

My 70-year-old parents were left standing in the cold for their taxi, late at night, with no clear information about when or if it would arrive. The only reason they were eventually picked up seemed to be because I called the company in a state of panic.

To make matters worse, when I phoned to find out where the taxi was, the woman I spoke to was patronising and used my name in a way that felt dismissive rather than helpful. Instead of showing any understanding for how worried and upset I was about my parents being left cold, alone, and waiting outside late at night, she kept reminding me that the calls were being recorded. It came across less as an attempt to resolve the situation and more as a veiled warning, which was completely inappropriate given the circumstances.

Based on my experiences, I would strongly advise people to avoid this company. Their booking system appears unreliable, customer service is poor, and even some of their drivers don’t seem to have much confidence in the business.

Avoid at all costs

Shambles of a company! Will cancel your booking with no warning, when you rebook, will charge you more than your original booking and customer service is disgustingly rude and dismissive!? Then tells you to way 28 working days for a refund! Avoid at all costs!?

once again let down by streamline booked a taxi for 11 45, 11.55pm i called them to ask where taxi was, told were busy will b around 12 30ish before it comes, pointed out we are standing outside in rain, answer is not there fault there busy, i told them they werent busy when i booked it and you took the booking for 11.45 am shocked at attitude as we use streamline 2 maybe 3 times a week not the first time this has happened feel let down as it puts you off going out on a sat night as not turning up for a booking seems ok to them, its just nae luck mate make you own way home, signed A disgusted customer.

No idea why so many bad reviews when this firm has not failed us in the 12 months we’ve been using them. Really decent firm. We use them often. Always good n time and easy to use app. Recommend.

Booked a taxi via the app from st James to Leeds train station. Waited outside for the taxi and checked the app to see the booking had been cancelled. I phoned up to ask why and the woman ‘Linda’ was rude and defensive and ranting and accused me of cutting her calls off (I had no missed calls). I ended her call because of her being rude and went onto the Uber app. She called me back and I thought she was going to apologise and say we’re sending a taxi now, but instead she continued to rant at me! I calmly explained that I just wanted a taxi and didn’t have time to listen to her and ended the call again. I missed my train home. I emailed the company to provide feedback and ‘Linda’ responded defensively in the email. Thee have been several email exchanges. No apology, just defensive and sarcastic and inappropriate responses. I even explained that I had been visiting my very sick sister in hospital but again, no apology, no empathy.
Terrible communicator. Completely inappropriate responses. I’ll stick with Uber.

The worst taxi experience I’ve ever had. The driver shouted at me, refused to pick me up, and then claimed I swore at him when I called to complain.
I was waiting at the bus stop and ran across the road to be picked up. When I tried to get in he started shouting at me about how he won't pick me up, because if if the bus arrived I would have cancelled on him and he would lose his fare. I obviously wouldn't do that because I already ordered a taxi. I explained to him the next bus was in 40 minutes and that I was running late for work but he kept shouting.
He's clearly had a bad experience with someone else and took it out on me.
I’m not sure if something happened to the driver that morning to be so angry he was being very unprofessional. I’m not sure what would make a man in his 50s to yell at a girl in her 20s who is crying about having to get to work, who actively wants to give him money.

Love streamline taxis staff very pleasent and chatty and and very quik keep up the good work

As a disabled person rely on taxis to get me home, streamline kept me waiting on a cold night at 23:45 despite 3 phone calls to them my taxi never arrived. At 00:00 I had no option but to walk home. This took 20 minutes in very cold conditions. Yet people who called just before I left got picked up at 23:50. If this is how they treat disabled people, it is a disgrace.

I cannot comprehend why a driver would drive an extra 1.5 miles for a journey as all that does is ensure no tip is given. Unfortunately this seems to be a recurring theme so will not be using again

Would have gave 0 stars if I could. Missed train to work after booking with plenty of time to spare ( booked for 25mins b4 the train) called and they said its Mothers day🤔
Don't take the booking if you can't make the booking time

I had the worst experience with the driver from Iran by the name Afrah this evening. She was rude and racist to me with my daughter in the car just because I told her to go through sandgate as she wanted to go through a longer route. She told me I had no right to tell her how to drive in a rude tone. And an argument ensued where she mentioned that this is not Africa because I am African. And went ahead to make more racial remarks. She should be investigated as a lot of people are saying she is not customer friendly. She ended up dropping me and my daughter off in the middle of no where and told us to get out of her car. I called the taxi company and the agent said she has the right to not want to continue the service and that another taxi will be sent to me immediately.
Streamline taxi should train their drivers on how to be customer friendly and do screening frequently.

If there was a zero star review I would give it. My driver tonight was just up from London. How he got a South Ayrshire taxi licence so quick beats me. Anyhow he knew nothing about Prestwick or Ayr. He was terrible wanted postcodes or street names to everywhere. Did not know where Prestwick Toll was and was totally lost. Streamline seem to employ anybody, no matter their knowledge or geographical knowledge.

I would like to say thank you for today.i booked a taxi in the taxi office was told it would be ten mins and it was.i was told it would be 14£ to new moston and it was.friendly polite driver.clean taxi.and I felt safe as a lone women.will use again.

Drove off with the door open without passengers on board. I think the driver might have been drunk!

The driver we had parked and obstructed traffic then tried to drive away with the door open and me only half in the taxi, my children did not have seatbelts on. They then sped the whole way and played with the personal phone they had on their lap. We brought this to the attention of the company, considering they broke the law multiple times and put children in danger. The only reply we received was to block the driver from picking us up again. Very disheartening and concerning they employ drivers like this and seem to put profit over safety

Useless, avoid. When I phoned up to ask why my taxi had not arrived, I was effecively told it was my fault for not realising that their taxis regularly arrived 15 minutes late. The operator refused to give his name, just reinforcing their lack of accountability. I will be writing to Leeds City Council to suggest they have their licence removed

Don’t believe the google reviews, most are clearly fake. This company is diabolical. Can’t provide a taxi on time despite being ordered 4 hours in advance. Missed train as a result. Lied to on the phone over and over again. Stick to uber, quicker, cheaper and way more reliable. York private taxi firms are a joke, the sooner uber puts them out of business the better
