Always friendly and helpful
Olivia is always friendly, helpful and attentive. I can only imagine the logistical complexity of coordinating work at such large developments and I think that Olivia and the team at Speirs Gumley do a great job. Thanks!

Terrible company
Terrible company. Issues never get dealt with despite repeated emails, unble to manage the development over what should be simple things to control.
They don't come out to inspect the development in person. Communication is poor, take forever to repond to emails. Issues never actually get resolved, and they take no ownership. This has been the case over the last 9 years.

Positive experience
I’ve had very positive experience of working with our contact in Speirs Gumley.
There’s always someone at the end of the phone to answer queries, and work being done to our building has been progressed efficiently allowing for the length of time it takes to get in quotes and get replies from owners!

Experience matters and the young managers don’t have it. Technical knowledge matters. It’s absence is more often that it could be.
Train specialists please and engage a ‘clerk of works’ to ensure what is being provided is undertaken properly. Particularly on Roofs.

Moved out and been messed around still
Moved out and been messed around still
I moved out of a property managed by them in July and agreed to pay for any work scheduled before I moved out to fix an issue with the roof in the neighbours property. This was communicated to the factors directly. After 5 months of me emailing and been told there were no outstanding repairs and receiving a substantial refund, I received an email stating there was an outstanding bill for £150 on the 22nd of July. Completely messed around, mislead and down right bad service. Zero trust and seems like they are just after money...would be so careful when doing business

Unfortunately, we were not aware of the agreement between you and the purchaser that you would pay for works carried out after the date you sold the property. So when our Property Manager told you there were no outstanding repairs/bills, this was based on works done up to the date you sold, as is standard.
Once you confirmed that you had agreed to pay the cost of the works carried out after your sale date, as part of the sale conditions, the Property Manager apologised and corrected the billing.
We apologise for any inconvenience this caused but assure you our intention was not to mislead you.

Repair or Replace?
Quick, helpful and efficient response as usual.
4 stars instead of 5, however, as the stair door handle repair is still loose and it's only a matter of time before we have another reoccurrence of the problem.
A fully secured replacement handle would have been more preferable than constant repairs to a persistent issue that has been attended several times now.

Lynne Alison has been outstanding and…
Lynne Alison has been outstanding and very efficient as our Factor Agent. Lynne has been very professional and gets things done. With reference to our experience, we cannot understand why Factors get such a bad reputation. We have had Lynne representing Spiers & Gumley for 9 1/2 years. We have loved having a great factor, where all outside maintenance, repairs and building insurance is covered. Having by a Factor is far cheaper than being responsible for all those bills. Only regret, is we wish Lynne was our factor where we are moving to at Towans Court!

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Your property manager Lynne was advised by the grounds contractor in September that they had cut back the bush and she contacted you to ensure you were happy with the work done.
When you came back to Lynne and explained you felt the bush was still too high, she asked the contractor to reattend. Lynne has since visited the property to inspect the work and feels there is further levelling required. She has instructed the contractor to reattend.
We apologise for the delay in this work being completed to your satisfaction.
