Created by Abi Selby, Spabreaks.com is a spa booking service working with more than 1300 spa destinations in the UK and overseas and arranging spa days and breaks for up to 6,000 people each week. From a small team of three, we have grown to a family of more than 90 members of staff with an office of knowledgeable spa consultants in Brighton. But those are just the numbers. Spabreaks.com's founding principle was to make the world of spa more accessible to anybody and everybody who wanted to go. We wanted to bring back the ancient purpose of spas as places of sanctuary for mind and body. We wanted to showcase the variety of spa experiences available to every individual, occasion, location and preference. Crucially, we wanted to make spas more accessible to anyone with a major health problem or disability, and work with industry leaders to make sure that anyone who had previously felt marginalised never feels that way again. Over the past decade, that’s exactly what we’ve done. We believe in the many positive benefits of spa experiences and that they can and should be available to help the health and wellbeing of everybody. That’s why we are working to make spas accessible and enjoyable for every body by providing an unrivalled choice of spas and spa packages, through first class service and convenience for all of our customers. When we started Spabreaks.com, spas were often seen as the domain of women with too much money and too much time on their hands, and that they were for a stereotypical ‘body beautiful’. do NOT use this company. they are deceptive and use extremely sketchy tactics in their business activities. i recieved a voucher for my birthday for 2 specific treatments, no monetary value was outlined anywhere on the voucher. i went to book the specified treatments on the voucher and was told i owed additional money. when i reached out to customer service, i was basically told that i was shit out of luck, as the cost of these treatments has gone up since the voucher was purchased and that this is part of their terms and conditions. to sell vouchers for TREATMENTS and then turn around and say that they are actually for a monetary value and it’s out of their control of prices go up is extremely deceitful to the person that is purchasing the voucher. my brother selected treatments that he thought i’d enjoy and purchased the voucher thinking he was gifting me the treatments, not a thoughtless gift card.

I would strongly advise others to think carefully before booking through SpaBreaks.
We booked a spa break weeks in advance as a special surprise. Then, just a few days before our stay, my partner received a call to say that our chosen spa had been "overbooked" and that we would need to choose an alternative. He felt under pressure to accept one of the options offered because of how close it was to our booking date.
When I found out, I contacted the original hotel directly. To my surprise, they confirmed they still had availability for the same dates at the same price. We therefore booked directly with the hotel instead.
When we contacted SpaBreaks to cancel, we were told we couldn't because we were within their cancellation period. The problem is that we had not yet received our hotel confirmation or any information setting out the cancellation policy before this point. It is extremely unfair to rely on terms and conditions that had not been clearly communicated.
The customer service was incredibly disappointing. The staff were dismissive, unhelpful and unwilling to look for a fair resolution. Escalating the matter to a manager made no difference—they showed no empathy, took no responsibility for the situation, and offered no reasonable solution despite the circumstances.
The whole experience left us feeling misled and treated unfairly. Had I not contacted the hotel myself, we would never have known that our original booking could still have gone ahead. Instead of taking responsibility for the confusion, SpaBreaks simply hid behind their cancellation policy.
This experience has completely undermined my confidence in booking through SpaBreaks again. I would recommend booking directly with the hotel or spa wherever possible to avoid unnecessary stress and poor customer service.

The balance is actually £556 - the value of a voucher I was gifted at Christmas. However I was wrongly informed that my balance is £496( the value of a spa break I cancelled in March due to hospitalisation) if I hadn’t been on the ball I would have been £60 out of pocket . My advice : do your sums and don’t take the word of Spa Breaks call operatives
