I started with Soundrop in 2020. Everything went well until sometime in 2023 when they closed the support chat and stopped answering support tickets. I don't know what would happen but they stopped posting on their social media as well. I literally have an open ticket from 6 months ago that I have yet to receive a first response.
It's true that $0.99 for distributing a cover is a good price but they take 15% of all earnings, which is a lot if you have a lot of streams. The license is only valid if you distribute with them so I prefer to buy it on my own and distribute with a serious company that also allows me to keep 100% of my earnings.
-If you are thinking of switching to Soundrop, don't do it. The first problem you have, you will have a really bad time because no one will help you.
-If you are with Soundrop I recommend you to jump to another serious distributor. Doing so badly, sooner or later Soundrop will end up closing.

Getting a license to release cover versions is free and easy.

If you have issues with the release, then you will only get automated responses and the issues remain

I waited a month for their reply to my question. I insisted twice, but never never replied. I ended up giving up working with Soundrop. 2 months later they still haven't replied. There's no question of choosing this distributor.

The moment you start earning royalties they lock your account and refund what you paid for uploading the songs. What a Scam.

If I could give zero stars I would with little hesitation, minimal to no support or service. I have had the frustration and utmost displeasure of using Soundrops services, and wouldn't bother writing a review if only I could warn off and advise people not to use let alone consider using them for disturbtion. I sent a project out in feburary, and have had countless amount of issues trying to separate and claim my work

Il rilascio del mio album era per il 22 dicembre , tutt’ora risulta ancora BLOCCATO.

Dopo aver pubblicato 3 canzoni, è possibile richiedere l'account verificato su YouTube.

Nelle linee guida di Soundrop, viene specificato che per effettuare la richiesta, è necessario aprire un ticket indicato quali brani collegare a quale canale.

Peccato che nessuno si degna di rispondere ai ticket, ho aspettato per 3 mesi ed ancora nessun feedback

Já que tentar solucionar este problema através da diplomacia e educação, não está funcionando, eu quero informar que, ao contratar os serviços de um advogado, ele consegue através da força da justiça, por meios jurídicos, que vocês retirem todos os meus álbuns cadastrados anteriormente que ainda estão disponíveis nas plataformas digitais, nas lojas de música digitais. Então, vocês querem mesmo levar essa situação para um tribunal? Veja, estou pedindo há meses, para que vocês retirem esses álbuns, pois são de um conteúdo vexatório, ridículo e humilhante para a minha pessoa. Capas de álbuns mau feitas, músicas mau produzidas, mau finalizadas ou editadas, canções com discurso de ódio, canções escandalosas e tudo o que me faz passar por um mal estar. Isso gera um dano moral para a minha pessoa. Pensem bem e reflitam nestas palavras.

Resumindo: Deram-me 30 dias para removerem todos os álbuns restantes das plataformas digitais.

Entrei em contato com eles na maior educação, pedi para que retirassem os álbuns remanescentes que eles, (não sei por qual motivo), insistem em manter nas plataformas digitais, essa é a antiga distribuidora na qual eu tinha um contrato com eles, que fora cancelado por contradições entre artista e lojas digitais.

Tratam-se de álbuns antigos mau produzidos, capas das artes dos lançamentos estão mau produzidas, músicas não finalizadas ou editadas.

Eu acredito estar sendo exposto ao ridículo, com essa imagem de artista mau produzido, situação que eu mesmo mudei e refiz da forma correta.

Peço a devida atenção da parte deles para retirarem esses álbuns das plataformas digitais.

Hope this can save you the headache, but do not go with this distribution company. I have had nothing but headaches with them from day one. See when you commit with this company they will make sure that you get ABSOLUTELY NO, and I mean NO help if you need it. So for example I was releasing and song and it was put out onto other peoples accounts and NOBODY helped me when I sent email after email to get it fixed. Then I finally decided to go with another company because they SUCK, and I ordered a takedown. How long do you think it took? A week, maybe 2, 3? NO 2 months and guess what to this day it has STILL not been taken down. I've sent 2 help tickets and no response thus far. Utterly unacceptable and if I can save you the headache, go with someone else. My personal advice, do some go research and find a company that is independent and can give you a help number or something so you get help when you need it. Thanks!

0 Communication for 5 weeks before release. Release meant to be next week and songs are locked on Sounddrop platform. Have emailed each week to customer service with no reply. Artist page on spotify not appearing so can't pitch tracks. Severely dissapointed and don't know how to take down

Very very bad services!! When it's time to pay they simply Block your account!

Sent a release (instrumental) in July, still not delivered in October.
Edit: Still not delivered in 2025/07 and also not removeable. I am shocked how this company operates to be honest. I'd sue you if i had the money.

Been with Soundrop since 2014 and been really happy. This year they started duplicating my videos on youtube. My most popular video was upto 78000 views. I contacted them to ask what was going on, no reply, the videos kept being duplicated by IIP-DDS a Soundrop 'partner'. Then suddenly overnight all the original videos were deleted and all my counts are back to zero. All playlists, links, likes etc are now useless. I've gone from around 1000 plays per week and around $15 per month to virtually nothing. The channel is ruined. I've pleaded with Soundrop to restore with no reply. A real kick in the teeth. No reason given, no response. Heartbreaking.
