Booked one of Solmar villas via Jet2. The Villa Marisol in Playa Blanca Lanzarote. The Villa itself is clean and tidy as would be expected. The booking was straight forward and and easy.
Unfortunately the villa is let down by the residential owners next door. First morning out at the pool with my wife, daughter and grandson of 8, we were abruptly disturbed by the neighbour standing on a set of ladders ranting about noise levels and rules. Now I could understand if there was a lot of noise, but there wasn't, certainly not any more than you'd expect from a young child playing in the pool. Taken by surprise, I apologised and stated that we'd do our best. But obviously this wasn't good enough as he then handed us a home printed out A4 sheet of rules stating that we MUST follow. Anyway after that we headed up in and later up to bed. Only it didn't end there! In bed quietly watching a movie on my tablet suddenly disturbed by banging on the wall. Now this to me is a step too far. As I said 'quietly' as I didn't want to waken our 8 year old grandson!
So unfortunately the Villa Marisol has put a dampner on a what should have been a pleasant break away. In my opinion he's trying to build up enough complaints in an attempt to have the villa rental licence revoked.

We booked a villa for May 2026 and recently had a major change in personal circumstances due to a terminal illness in the family. Sharon Bradbury at Solmar was magnificent. She was proactive, compassionate, and solved a complex booking issue that another operator wouldn't touch. If you want a villa company that treats you like a human being rather than a booking number, I cannot recommend Solmar Villas highly enough. Five-star service from a five-star team.

Stayed in this villa in March 2026 arrived spent 2 days without water the owner came out said everything was all ok Solmar believed him in three occasions , This went on for three days eventually we were moved but according to some locals many holiday makers gave huge issues at this villa I would not return to this villa ever again . Even when we spoke to Solmar direct they took the villa owners side really spoilt my families holiday

We booked villa Juncos in Nerja for 7 days at the end of March with Solmar villas. Booking online seemed to go well, until I noticed the flights we booked with them were not showing on our confirmation. A quick phone call and it was easily rectified.

Negatives
The key code we were given for entry to the villa was incorrect. I phoned the helpline 3 times, but no answer. I then called the conscierge team who were able to help after contacting other departments. After being given 3 more codes to try, we eventually gained entry. After a long night/day of travelling this was not a good start to our holiday.
The villa is in a lovely, quiet area but the incline from the town to the villa was extremely steep. Thankfully, this was fine for our party, but it would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
More trays for cooking would have been good, as we could only find one, so made cooking for 6 people more timely than needed.
The pool was not heated, which meant most of our party did not use it as the water was freezing!
We had asked if we could drop off our luggage at the villa earlier than our check-in time, but were told no. They provided a link for a company in Nerja for luggage storage, but the link didn't work. When I phoned to ask for an alternative, they could not provide this. I normally use another very well known villa company and have never had an issue dropping off our luggage a few hours before our check-in time if needed. If Solmar villas can't provide this, they should be updating their information on available luggage drop off spots.

Positives
The villa was clean and modern. All bedrooms have an en suite and extra pillows and blankets.
The outside seating areas were lovely, with a small area to the front for coffee in the morning and a shaded area at the back which we used for lunch/dinner.
Beach towels were provided for the pool, which was a nice touch.
We had no issues at all with ants which I have often found in other accomodation in Spain!
There is a couple of supermarkets, restaurants and bars within a short walk from the villa.
Overall, we had a fantastic holiday with Solmar villas and I would use them again. However, I would try to ensure we book flights with them which would work better for their check-in times.

Have just returned from a stay in Lanzarote and WOW. The villa was superb. Excellent App provided all the information we needed along with a detailed itinerary email ahead of travel meant getting access to the villa was seamless. We stayed in Villa Jameito in Playa Blanca. It looked brand new! Extremely clean and well decorated. Heated pool was amazing. Already planning our return later this year and will use the rewards £ from the booking.

Nice villa close to facilities. Only issue was the lack of kitchen utensils, general cleanliness, linen changes and around the pool area.
linen wasn't changed until late in the stay. BBQ area was unusable and took a couple of hours to clean. The shrubs by the pool shower were overgrown and I had to trim them back or you would be covered in little yellow flowers every time after showering.
There was a general lack of cooking utensils, pots, pans and bowls etc for self catering.

Brilliant villa.
Had everything we needed for a week’s stay.
The villa was very well cared for and clean & tidy. It had great facilities. The table tennis was a massive hit!
Rita was brilliant and incredibly helpful. She gave good recommendations for things to do and responded quickly to any queries that we had.
I would recommend this villa, it was perfect for our group holiday.

Stay away from this company.

Villa in the middle of a building site, aircon not working and they said they will get someone the next day. Bad customer service.

Much better companies out there.

We stayed at the really disappointing Villa Gambeo in Puerto del Carmen, very basic indeed

We had a lovely holiday in the villa the biggest hit was the pool and although at the front of the villa it wasn’t a problem as the road is quiet . Parking was a bit of an issue if we went out in the day as people use it to park and walk to the beach and there is no driveway for private parking . We only had a couple of snag things with the villa its self , curtain poles came off the wall when curtains were pulled and the front gate had to be lifted and opened so just maintenance issues really. Over all we loved it and would go again we love Cala galdana and have stayed in different areas but no where is too far as long as you don’t mind a few steps.

We have used Solmar Villas numerous times over the past few years for different locations and will continue to do so.
Even when having an issue with a villa in Cyprus they helped us out straight away.

Great customer service and overall good experience.

Great accommodation convenient for beach and touring.

Having used solmar many times before, I was extremely disappointed to hear that you are not willing to alter the destination for my upcoming holiday with my young family from Cyprus (a country who has recently been the target of military missiles and suicide drone strikes. I find this incredibly poor customer service and has resulted in me losing over £2000. I shall ensure that my family and I never use your service again.

Great place! Very nice and quiet village with everything you need. The Finca was perfect for 5 people and we had a great time.

We discovered Menorca several years ago and for the last several years we have acquired a rental thru Solmar Villas. Our rentals have varied some better than others but what has been a constant is the quality of service we received from Solmar. Wonderful staff and professional response to any issue we might have had!
