Very very quick to give an initial consultation (less than 8 weeks) and generally provided a good service. Some things to be desired (i.e. long wait times for email responses), but otherwise happy with the service.

Great experience, very smooth process and the staff were great, extremely friendly and supportive throughout the assessment.

My assessment experience overall was very positive, although the initial cancellation process did cause some additional anxiety.

My original appointment was cancelled on the day due to technical issues via a text message, however the message was quite vague and I did not receive a formal cancellation email, which left me worried that it may have been sent in error and was anxious about potentially being marked as a “no show”, so I contacted the centre for clarification.

Jamie from reception was very helpful, understanding and reassuring, and after following up with the bookings team I was offered another appointment very quickly due to a cancellation.

When it came to the assessment itself, I was understandably very nervous, but Tracy immediately put me at ease. She was friendly, patient, calm and empathetic throughout the assessment, especially during moments where I became emotional.

Despite a few stressful moments and technical hiccups along the way, Tracy remained reassuring and understanding, which really helped reduce my anxiety.

I was also very grateful to receive my diagnosis and outcome during the appointment itself, rather than having to wait afterwards. Tracy explained the diagnosis and next steps clearly, and I left feeling listened to, validated and supported.

Overall, despite the difficult start with the cancellation, the assessment itself was a very positive experience and I’m very grateful for the kindness and professionalism shown throughout.

I accessed skylight through the NHS right to choose programme, and from referral through to assessment they were brilliant. I was given clear communication throughout, and they were responsive when I emailed to ask about appointment times. The assessment itself went as well as it possibly could, and my assessor was kind, understanding and non-judgemental. He explained everything clearly and made it easy to ask questions. Overall, a great experience with the service!

I’ve gone back and forth about whether to write my review before receiving my assessment report but I think it’s important. To be clear, I’m giving two stars as everything up to the appointment was 4 stars (I would have preferred to have discussed an appointment and the assessor before getting an appointment time to make it 5) but the assessment itself was incredibly disappointing and deflating. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it definitely wasn’t just talking through the questions I’d already filled in at a surface level. I also do not think my husband’s questionnaire about my behaviour was reviewed at all. There was no scope to talk in depth about some of the issues I face and any time I tried to give information the assessor didn’t feel was relevant, he wouldn’t let me finish and just repeated the question.

In terms of the assessors behaviour, I was absolutely appalled. He spent the first 10 minutes trying to talk me out of the assessment (something had happened during the day which has been ongoing and will continue to be ongoing for a couple of years) he explained he had a duty of care but when I gave the facts of the issue (which proved there wouldn’t be an impact on the assessment) he continued to try and talk me out of it. When he relented, he spent much of the call yawning (something he tried to hide, others he did not), he was smirking when I couldn’t answer the question or didn’t understand the context in which he was asking and I just felt like a complete waste of his time.

I’m still waiting for my assessment results over 2 weeks later, despite other people I have told to use the facility having theirs the same day. I know the website stated it can happen but only if more information was required, given I haven’t been contacted I can only assume it is something else.

I’ve been struggling my entire life and I don’t think this remote assessment has helped me move any further forward with a diagnosis and medication, if anything, it has made me feel worse.

Had a struggle with appointments, times and connection issues. Ended up being alot of hastle for a ten minute chat that could have just been done over the phone . The appointment itself was fine and the person I spoke to was nice . I'm worried about starting medication and you aren't given any information prior the the consultation to read about potential medication . I've also been waiting for 9 months to get the appointment.

From the start, everything was explained to me clearly and in depth which helped put me at ease. The assessment was done professionally and with care with clear communication and understanding of my concerns and thoughts. Very friendly staff who made the assessment comfortable!

I recently had an ADHD assessment with Edward, and it was a really positive experience. He was easy to talk to from the start, which helped settle any nerves I had going in. The whole process felt relaxed and comfortable, and he created an environment where I felt genuinely listened to and understood.
Edward explained things clearly and guided the assessment in a way that made it feel straightforward rather than overwhelming. I appreciated how approachable and patient he was throughout. Overall, he made what could have been a stressful experience feel manageable and reassuring. I’d definitely recommend him to anyone going through a similar assessment.

I am now awaiting an appointment for titration so can't comment on that process as of yet.

Exceptional Drs and very quick service. Very kind and didn't not rush the process

I was sent relevant forms via Skylight and these covered areas such as childhood, adulthood, family and work/school environment etc. After completing the forms I was offered a remote interview with a psychiatric consultant. This probably took approximately 4 weeks. The interview took place and after 1hr and 20 mins, I was diagnosed with ADHD and medication was the way forward. I’m awaiting the report and was told this could take 4/6 weeks. I also am being referred to the ASD specialist team. The whole process was definitely worth the effort.

I couldn’t fault them at all up to this point. The online face to face assessment was really relaxed and my assessor made me feel comfortable when she noticed I was a bit on edge. It was also nice to be told I had ADHD there and then even though there was a caveat of it still needing to go through a checking process. The speed of it was faster than I expected too. I would recommend this to anyone else that needs it.

The service from Skylight was exceptional. Fully explained the process. Forms were easy to complete. David completed my online assessment and he was really understanding and explain things really well. Overall an excellent experience.

Assessment was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I dreaded having a long Assessment but it wasn't that bad. Debbie was understanding and aloud me to be me. I didnt feel awkward when I struggled at times with historical questions from childhood.

The process was so quick from start to finish less then 2 months. I was worried about the video call but Nisheeth Rajpal was very friendly, helpful and informative and kept me on task when I got side tracked . Overall the experience was fantastic and at almost 43 I wasn’t to sure if I was going to go through with the assessments but I’m glad I did and now have my diagnosis and will hopefully start my medication soon .

I am very grateful to Skylight psychiatry for helping me on my journey of getting a diagnosis of both autism and ADHD. I have been impressed by the timeframe they have seen me in and found my assessors professional, kind and supportive. They have helped to make what can be a difficult experience as pleasant as possible and I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking a diagnosis of autism or ADHD.
