Absolutely terrible experience renting with Simple Life.
I’ve been renting with them for almost 2 years, and their customer service and maintenance support are among the worst I’ve ever experienced.
First of all, it is practically impossible to speak to anyone over the phone. You can spend hours waiting to get connected, and more often than not, they simply decline the call. For a company managing people’s homes, this level of communication is unacceptable.
Their maintenance process is even worse. Our fridge and freezer completely stopped working, leaving us without any way to store food properly. Instead of providing urgent assistance, tenants are forced to use an outdated and glitchy maintenance portal that barely works.
I submitted a maintenance request immediately. After 2 days, I finally received a message saying the issue had been redirected to the manufacturer. Meanwhile, we have now been living with a broken fridge and freezer for over 2 weeks.
This is not just an inconvenience, it is a health and hygiene issue. Food cannot be stored safely, groceries are constantly being wasted, and yet there seems to be no urgency or care from the company whatsoever.
Very disappointing service for a company that advertises itself as a professional landlord.

Been renting at fairways Salford now for over a year. The garden well SHOCKING.
Soil and turf thrown over rubble. The amount of huge i picked up is crazy.
The garden is completely uneven full of nettle bushes. I have a young family with a disabled child who has nowhere controlled to play outside.
After 1 year of complaining
They finally got round to sorting it.
Result a bit of soil and grass seed in 3 areas. The garden is unsafe still, clearly needs a full re turf but that will cost them too much money. Absolute cowboys. We pay rent on time every month yet still they wont sort the issue properly.
So were forced on wasting more money on finding somewhere else to live so my kids have a safe garden to play. How they get away with this is crazy the news needs to know bout companies like these , Im seeking legal advice on the matter.

I have recently started renting a simple life home in the Burton on Trent area. What a fantastic experience and excellent home. A special thank you to Paulina and Danielle in being extremely helpful ensuring we had everything in place for the tenancy. The entire experience has been a pleasure from start to finish and I highly recommend anyone in renting a simple life home.

When I called and spoke to James he was so helpful and really knew how to deal with me. I suffer with mental health and with the knowledge of possibly being homeless, James dealt with my situation professionally and calmly. Would highly recommend simple life. Always ask for James

I have recently moved into one of the Simple Life homes in Wolverhampton and we had a couple of maintenance issues that we raised, I spoke with Will today who was very professional and did an excellent job in chasing up these queries with the relevant departments to ensure that these are dealt with promptly. 5/5 stars for super customer service.

I've had multiple problems since moving into my new build flat with my "relationship manager" being absolutely useless, providing silly suggestions to problems i've endured. For the monthly amount for this apartment, i think they provide a shocking service. Wouldn't recommend to others.
