Public areas bright and airy and the carpets in the lounges were cleaned to a high standard during the week I stayed there Food was adequate but lacked fresh vegetables Service was fine and staff were friendly Being able to garage, the car without charge was very useful On the whole the hotel was good value for money

Staff very good polite and helpful. The hotel is in a fantastic location, it is looking a bit tired some area's need freshening up a coat of paint and fresh carpets. The cleaning could be a bit better. Great value and is improving slowly.

First Put on 3 floor in room ,I was very surprised as the room was not suitable for any guest being very smelly , dirty and toilet seat falling apart and having to climb into bath to use shower was not suitable for me as I have mobility issues (hotel told in advance)after complaining I was moved into another room which was which very good and suitable for my mobility problems, both rooms overlooked back of hotel ( not very appealing) Some staff were very friendly and the meals were very good

It was just me and my dog for a long weekend .went out of way to accommodate me and my dog .highly recomend this hotel for value for money and extremely freindly staff.

My mother (who is in her 80's) goes to this hotel a lot! It is very comfortable and clean. All the staff are friendly and helpful. She goes two or three times a year (sometimes with my 30yt old son).

wasnt very clean had to ask for a toilet roll , cobwebs behind the television and in general the room was very clean at all.

The hotel needs a good clean , to the interior paint work and carpets , all the hand rails seemed to be greasy carpets seemed much the same. The room we had , has a great view , but the window could not be completely shut , the radiator would not shut off , when the maintenance guy shut it off we could not turn it on again , also the phone was not working . They have a system there that you had to put a not on the door if you want the room refreshed . Beds were not made , bins not emptied, towels not change and you have to keep asking for moor tea coffee sachets . In all not good . We would not go again , but l must say that on the whole the food was good .

This is a reasonable hotel but does not have a usable car park in a town that is impossible to find anywhere to park. The site next to the hotel, the only area available charges £14 per 24 hours, and you need a degree in computer science to pay the fee through your phone. Why did nobody tell us that there is no hotel car park which is undergoing "vital work".

As there were only 4 guests at the hotel for the first day of our stay there, it felt as if it was the hotel's first day for this season. Our first dinner was very poor as it appeared to have been prepared hours earlier so that the cook/chef could go home. ie.The mash potatoes were stale and the pork loin was a paper thin slice of bacon. I mentioned it to the reception without comment. The meals were quite 'take it or leave it' attitude, as there was No fried eggs. No poached eggs.No boiled eggs available.. "WE ONLY DO SCRAMBLED EGGS" there was no entertainment. We will not return...
