Also had a petrol leaf blower that was all good until the recoil snapped bit apparently down to wear and tear not used that much and worst bit they now dont make these anymore and are unable to get the parts so be warned if u buy something from them if something goes wrong u may not get the parts you need so means you've got a dead machine and then out of pocket
Beware of third party scam.
Cheap prices but utilizes scammer third parties to make a quick buck out of you.
Watch out after you've bought something, it will say "30 quid cashback" and underneath in tiny grey text it signs you up to an 18 pound a month service.
Watch out for that shady business practice.

I was charged an extra £45 for a delivery which was missed or £100 to cancel the order
I had spoken to the courier to re arrange a delivery day , was told it was possible and then at the last minute, it wasnt - SGS totally inhelpful when spoke to them
Unexpected additional costs beware
Having been swayed to buy a log splitter because it was significantly discounted AND had a further £20 off for a weekend promotion . The delivery was late and refused to leave the package onsite unless someone to sign for, which unfortunately there wasn’t.
Delivery was charged at£14.95, But redelivery is another £49.99 OR order cancellation is charged at £100.
To make things worse a similar product wirhout discounts is offered by a competitor with free delivery for only £5.01 more than the offer.
Customer service and recognition of a long term customer completely ignored.
Will certainly avoid in the future. Beware poor offers and service.
My refund took 22 days. Poor packaging damaged items.
I want to start by saying Lucy is a credit to your company. The tool box I purchased came on the 17th of Feb the bottom box was really good quality no damage but the top box was dented inwards on the right hand side. They sent another one out to me which was also damaged. I made it very clear that the delivery company they were using AIT was not up to scratch they arrived in a van with dents all over no lifting equipment dragging the products across the floor! I contacted SGS they said they were not willing to send out another replacement due to the courier not being any good I asked if they could use a different one they said no and asked me to keep the box with £100 discount. I said no I want a full refund they said no problem. They collected the bottom box on the 19th and top box on the 20th I waited 7 days heard nothing. Emailed them they said we refunded you on the 4th of march £1400 my purchase was £790 got another apology and refund was issued got it today. I ordered a different tool box from a "Garden centre" in Wales it came in 4 days on 2 pallets strapped in place wrapped up tight. Another colleague of mine got a tool box which came on a pallet with 6 pieces of MDF on the top for protection. My advice to SGS is simple 1. Don't use AIT 2. Check your products for damage before shipping 3. Package then properly not in thin card board boxes put them on pallets 4. Issue the refund without waiting weeks. I will not be using you again and have blocked all adverts ect. Your tik tok slogan says don't stress well I have been.
A great product and first class…
A great product and first class service. First box arrived damaged and was replaced immediately. A great positive experience and wouldn’t hesitate to deal with SGS again 10 out of 10 for customer support. A pleasure to deal with. A+++ experience.
Bought a 50 litre air compressor
Bought a 50 litre, set it all up then I could hear a leak, turns out one of the welded seams on the tank wasn't welded correctly and therefore leaks!
Reported the issue to customer service, they want a video, which was sent but they have said they'll speak to technical support to see what my options are?!!!
I know what my 'options are' have your faulty junk back!!!

They say they call 20-30 mins before driver delivers. Driver called once at my door (as cctv and timing proves) then they want to charge me £49 redelivery. Absolute liberty. *****Watch small print*****
Terrible customer support
Terrible customer support. They just want your money and now have cost me an extra £12 for no reason other than their lazy attitude to after sale support. I'll definitely be looking elsewhere next time before considering an order with SGS again.
Fedex messed up, but SGS were stars
Fedex claimed a delivery to an address in a different town. Then the package appeared mysteriously in the Fedex depot that night.
SGS were on the case and ensured Fedex prioritised my delivery and kept me informed throughout. Cathy in SGS customer services is an absolute star.
Set reviews to newest first- VERY BAD SERVICE AND PRODUCTS
They don’t honour warranties even when you use the machine correctly.
I bought an SC100V (13.8 CFM) which failed after just 75 days usage.
Despite the machine only powering a 6 SCFM demand (less than half its capacity), SGS Engineering rejected the warranty claim.
Their Customer Service Manager admitted the machine has a 50-60% duty cycle and that my usage was only 41%—yet they still claimed "misuse" because of "overheating."
If a machine overheats while running 20% below its limit at half-capacity, it is defective.
They have now ceased communication after being presented with these facts.
Currently escalating via the Consumer Rights Act and my credit card provider.
I have use SGS products for the last 4…
I have use SGS products for the last 4 years and warn people to stay away. They are very bad quality, break easy and you will be replacing most items. I recently brought the battery charger £220, it wouldn’t even work, when I’ve tried refunding the item they stating I haven’t charged the item and avoiding return. Honestly what world we living in complete crap products and customer service is a joke.
I bought a sgs compressor
I bought a sgs compressor. I opened the box switched on the compressor. It was very loud and wasn't compatible with my spray gun. I was told that would not advise me the wrong compressor. I then asked for a refund/exchange. As per there policy they do not refund or exchange as the machine was switched on so they can't resell it. Apparently my consumer rights were ignored, they do not have any compassion and I now have a compressor that I do not need and have lost out on £84. Do not buy from this company. Other major companies, Amazon, Ebay respect the customer's rights as I have returned many items and have received my money back.

Ordered for next day delivery and paid an additional £20 for a slot. Immediately after placing the order, found out that next day is next 'business day' - which meant my order made on a Saturday morning would not be with me until Tuesday!
Emailed to cancel immediately - as the company work Mon-Fri (so no one to speak to).
Received an email Monday morning, the item has already been dispatched and I need to pay for the item to be returned! I wont be at the address on Tuesday, so this means a £50 charge for non-delivery and then if second delivery missed a charge of £100 to return it to SGS!!!!
All of this is already known but SGS will not do a thing about it to help. Awful customer care, wont be using them again.

Bought a petrol strimmer from this company about five years ago, and I got to give them praise, as I have had to get parts for it on two occasions, one being on the 2nd of February 2026, needed a new fuel line for my multi tool strimmer ordered online that day, and had it on the 3rd of February, well pleased with the service, a well trusted company
Great if your retired and can wait for items
Absolute waste of time. They use fedex who's policy is we deliver when we can be bothered but will make promises in the meantime. Unfortunately sgs isn't useful if you yourself care about customer service.

Website is disengenuis regarding delivery cost
I bought a trolley jack. All good I think, I haven't tried it yet. I also bought 4 extra tall 3 tonne axle stands but although at point of purchase it quite clearly states 'free delivery', a delivery charge is added right at the very end, which is a little confusing.

Bought a stackable toolbox. Stainless Mobile Stackable 3-in-1 Tool Box
SKU:STC500C. Absolute rubbish . Bits keep breaking on it and the some side clips don’t work well. Only bought on the 2nd of January this year. It’s only used for carrying art equipment, thankfully it’s not heavy tools.
