I had an Employment Advisor who was ok, but kept fluffing the ''exit interview'' and merely sent me a bland email report of my 6mths.

Whilst he was away, a woman called on the last appointment promising all sorts of wonderful things, never got back to me and ignored my texts and emails.

My restart coach was useless, she failed to remember appointments and did nothing to help me. I asked Seetec to change my coach but nothing was done, when I told my coach I would not be attending any more meetings, she asked why? I told her she was causing undue stress. She went ballistic, told my to stop shouting at her, which I wasn't, informed me she was having a bad day and she didn't want to hear this. I was trying to tell her that I had asked for a new coach, but she just talked over me and said she would inform the DWP and they will sanction me. I have tried numerous times to call Seetec, and have been promised a call back, this has not happened. I my opinion, they are not fit for purpose and create more problems than they solve. I get the impression that they close ranks if any criticism is made of them. I lay mans terms they are a shower of **it

Their attitudes to people with disabilities are abysmal - "I just hammer them with the same 'you're going to apply for every f-ing job I send you' that everyone else gets - can't claim discrimination if you're treated the same as all the other scroungers, can you?"

"Pop out a few kids, claim they've got made-up illnesses like autism, ADHD, whatever, you're laughing."

There is a fixation on the idea that people on UC are "getting two grand a month in benefits" (the actual figure is typically a tenth of this), a very strong resentment towards people in receipt of PIP (which can be claimed by those in full time employment, if they are disabled or have health issues), and a constant whinging that "I could say I'm too ill to work and sit on my backside on two grand a month!" from employees.

There is also routine mockery of transgender and gender-variant people, and an attitude that it's "ridiculous and embarrassing" to have to ask if people are other than cisgender or white British, when "it's obvious from the person sitting in front of you what they are."

Don't work here if you're disabled, and especially not if you're neurodivergent, and, if you can possibly avoid being referred to them as a disabled UC claimant, do so - especially if you live in Yarmouth or Lowestoft.

Seetec in Torquay is rubbish I found it a waste of time for 10 mins on wens

Maybe this is a few years too late but due to this company ,mainly a member of staff who i dont know if still works there in the romford branch , i have been severely ill for last few years due to a particular member of staff called patsy boyce . I was placed on this program from DWP despite having CFS/ ME ,which she knew about and she was told sometimes i can get so ill im bedridden but she would constantly get me to go to interviews miles and miles away knowing i couldnt go . She then would constantly make sure my money got sanctioned due to me not being able to attend because i was bedridden with cfs and then make me go to another interview knowing i didnt now have money to travel as my money was stopped . This went on for a year. The stress got so much for me and made me so ill it eventually caused me to have a heart attack . I cant write the full story here as its to long . I did make a complaint only for her boss to take sides with her despite me showing proof . This place and her are a disgrace !

Load of rubbish and the staff creep to the DWP , to drop you in it. Just rubbish, like the DWP....Rubbish.!!!

Watch out, Seeteec grass u to the dole over any thing and lie too. It's about control and giving you a hard time...Staff are rude, not bright, bullying and a waste of space!!

I wouldn't employee DWP staff or Seetec staff, not fit for much at all.!!

An absolutely horrendous, amateur, rude, obnoxious and utterly useless company. Not a positive review to be found on the internet which says it all. I've made umpteen complaints about them but still they prosper. Their whole being is basically to rince the taxpayer. They do not have a clue about their actual purpose and will continue to harass you. If you can avoid these clowns then please do as they will only hold you back and ruin any chance you may have had at progressing.

Box ticking grifters, I had an ex primary school teacher, I'm 58 and a welder, talk to me with such a saccharin patronising tone, bleating on about cv's and job interview techniques as if I was a challenged child, they are a useless company,I can only think a friend of an MP has money involved in the scam, this "training" maybe ok for school leavers, the technology they are using is ported from the 80's, somebody in power needs to review what is happening with this company, they themselves know it's just ticking boxes and they tell you which boxes to tick, it's farcical helpful to only a very few people, most people could do the whole course in 2 days, a waste of tax payers money.

Seetec are absolutely useless, my recommendation is to go along with the box ticking excercises that they have to carry out to justify their funding. They do not care about you, your situation or your wellbeing.

They are not only useless, they are awfully ran and are awful to work for too apparently, so no suprise that the staff come across as doing an awful job.

They are basically grifting the government and hassling jobseekers so treat them with the contempt they deserve by fleecing them for every bit of funding they can offer. if your so called job coach tries to fob you off, make sure to escalate your request and not let them gatekeep you.

They can provide funding for clothing for job interviews or PPE for roles where it is required. Did you know they can fund your first month of travel fees for a role you been accepted in? Make sure to get it in writing though because they are pretty incompetent and are clearly not fit for purpose.

They do really need to be treated with contempt which i have no issues with seeing as they treat people like dirt.

Hell on earth, never get involved with them, basically if you are claiming UC, all these people do is exactty the same has your work coach but worse. You basically have to do everything twice with no better progress. If you are genuinely searching for a job these will bog you down even more and actually give you more to worry about. Also, they like to threaten you with sanctions and they are not even civil servants, just sub contactors. Heed my warning and save yourself a lot of extra paperwork and bs meetings. My mate summed up in one quote "It`s not about them getting you a job, it`s about them justifying their own job"

A truly dreadful company. If you can avoid Restart do, some of the staff (not all) are bullies and liars and the whole company is corrupt for robbing the tax payer. They have failed to deliver at every turn and I'm persuing a case with the Independent Case Examiner's office to get their contract with the DWP terminated.

I could rant and swear a lot, although let's be honest, even that would not reach the depths as to how POOR Seetec truly are.. or should I say Septic! How many millions a year are Seetec receiving, and how much are their employees earning? For what is the equivalent of incompetent, unempathetic actors playing to the tune of a silly little script, ringing for no more than five minutes to ask if I have found a job before... let me correct that, incredibly unprofessional folk with the charisma of sewage spilled out to sea... there is absolutely NO justification for Seetec to exist where I know that this behavior is nothing short of patronizing and unfair to the majority of job seekers who are genuinely trying their darn best despite personal setbacks. Seetec, if you are going to truly inspire hope in individuals as opposed to funneling money to truly sinister taskmasters, please listen closely, for it's clear to see you've willfully sewn your lobes shut! There is something very rotten about this company, seek medical aid because this tumor is only going to grow larger and uglier.

The staff are very rude and pushy and they don't communicate with you and Kamal is very unhelpful I think he needs training in customer care and the employment advisors don't even get back to you when you ask for help and advice

I attended it a few years ago. I was to have an hour long meeting every 3 weeks with the mentor she was awful she spent 15 minutes at most and wanted me to write out the jobs I applied for and she photocopied it she wouldn't look at the online proof. I had asked about doing any courses and she said I can't while on seetec. After the year was up and I had a meeting with a social welfare officer she asked me why I refused to cooperate with seetec and why I refused training and asked why I didn't look for work as the mentor wrote I refused to look for work. I was able to show her all the jobs I applied for online all year. If I hadn't been applying online and being able to show proof my payment would have been stopped.

These people are not helpful. They only care about looking good in front of other businesses. If you are not a "good fit" i.e. about to go into work without their help, they are less than usual. Mental health and other disabilities are seen as barriers to them and they will tell you that they can't help in anyway and that you are not "right for this programme". Also their social media platform is them bragging about their achievements. You can't interact unless it is in a positive way. No questions or anything they deem as negative is allowed. Their portal is also the most basic interface you will ever use. You have to print out a lot of stuff just to read it as the colours clash on screen. The DWP are unaware how awful they truly are.

A total waste of time energy and breath. Sooner or later they will join with Indeed as this is where they are getting people jobs with. total waste of time bunch of know nothing jobsworths that I probably have shoes older than.

This scheme caters only for very basic, entry level jobs. The agents don’t do much, except for calling once in few weeks for 5 mins to ask the same questions. Unfortunately, they are unable to facilitate people who have either high level of work experience or third level education. I was referred to the the JobPath within a month after losing my job. Perhaps, this scheme would be more useful for people who are long term unemployed and are unable to write a CV. Seetec receives over 70 million euro per year for this scheme and the jobseekers are treated like sales targets rather than human beings. Moreover, the agents do not seem to understand that finding a job relevant to the experience takes up some time and effort, since the competition is very high. This scheme is worthless and it’s a waste of the taxpayer’s money. An individual persistence and patience are the only way forward in a success in finding a suitable employment. There is absolutely no need for a third party ‘middle man’ to have an access to our personal data.

Seetec's Restart programme has been a complete waste of time for me. Absolutely no help, phone backs unreturned when they couldn't even tell me who the Manager was there - a waste of my time and tax payer's money.

I've been out of work since the pandemic but recently found a very good job in engineering. Seetec did nothing to facilitate this. All they do is spout government and job centre drivel. They up speak everything and make encouraging noises about things like homelessness and transport to get to work but do absolutely nothing and have no real influence over anything. And no idea of the reality of wages verses the cost of living. Another parasitical gravy train for jobsworths.
