Insurance that's worth having!

Having made a couple of claims, we would highly recommend using this parcel insurance company - they are fast, accomodating and most importantly PAY valid claims.

We had a couple of items, shipped separately but as part of the same international customer, order that arrived damaged.

The process of making a claim requires quite a bit of information submission, but that only serves to ensure a speedy assessment/settlement of valid claims.

Would highly recommend using this company for any expensive item being shipped.

I insured a guitar, it arrived destroyed. Secursus refunded me promptly as soon as they received the documents from the courier.

Best site for shipment insurance

This was my first time buying shipment insurance for a high value item. The entire process was completed within 5 minutes. Everything was easy to understand & the cost was reasonable and transparent. No hidden costs. No gotchas. The sign-up process was easy, straightforward & seamless. And the best part, the follow up support was above excellent! A few hours after I purchased the insurance, I realized that in my rush, I made a mistake in my application form. I contacted Secursus via their website & received a reply shortly after the operations hour started & the error was amended right away. Definitely deserving of 5 Stars!

Won’t honour the claim after providing everything I’ve been asked

I am a gold trader, I sell via website and advertise on marketplaces to increase our reach. We’re not a big business but have used this service thinking we’re covered. The parcel contents was £6,690.
I used a photo from our Facebook advertisement for “proof of item shipped”, the company has digested this information as it was sold there. I told them it was sold via our website. So from now they’re trying to not honour the claim because of this incorrect information which they have twisted into fact.
Do not use this company as it’s useless, a waste of money. I’ve recorded the items being packed and sealed. They were sent in hard rigid cardboard boxes and special delivery was used.
I will be opening up a claim against this company for the cost of £6,690 since they won’t honour the service, even though all terms and conditions outlined by the company were followed.
Please don’t waste your money and avoid.
All documents were provide which were asked for. My identity was authenticated, but the individual whom I brought the good from doesn’t want to share there information publicly. The last I heard from you was in December until I messaged on the dashboard few days ago to which the reply were “we’re waiting to here from out insurer”. So the insurance company as its insurance company for permission to honour a true claim.
I’ll happy share the information I’ve share with someone who wants to use this company in the future. I’ve provided the shipping label, damaged to parcel bag, items missing are gold, gold is pretty easy to value since it’s off the live market. I’ve provided bank transfer screenshot. It’s black and white. I’ve brought goods, insured them for the value I paid. Some have been lost due to damage to the parcel. Take what you will from their reply but it’s reads its self.

Despite our requests, the sender has refused to submit an invoice for the goods and has also declined to provide documents to authenticate their company. As a regulated insurer, we cannot pay out a claim when the shipper refuses to verify their identity or the value of the shipment. The file has therefore been red-flagged due to their lack of compliance.

If new documents are available in the future, please contact our claims team.

Beware - returns not covered, despite not mentioned on website!

I insured an Evri package worth £380, as a return of ski boots to the shop where I purchased them. Evri lost the package and I lodged a claim with Secursus.

I've just heard back that despite Evri accepting the loss and minimum £20 insurance with them, Secursus have rejected my claim for the additional £360 as it was a return to a shop - despite there being no mention of not covering returns on their website FAQ or list of exclusions. Instead, they have relied a misleading clause buried in their T&Cs. Quite disgraceful. I am very interested in their response to this feedback.

Thank you for your message, and we are genuinely sorry to hear about your experience.

However, please note that the exclusion of return shipments is very clearly stated in our Terms & Conditions. As specified in Article 5.2:

“The Goods delivered and then returned to the Sender are not covered by Parcel Insurance (unless agreed in writing by Secursus).”

This rule exists because the rate of fraud and false declarations is extremely high on return shipments. For that reason, any return must be approved in advance and in writing by our team before shipping, as mentioned in our T&Cs.

If you ever need to insure a return in the future, please contact us beforehand — we can then review and authorize coverage manually.

We truly regret the inconvenience this situation has caused and appreciate your understanding.

En tant que professionnel expédiant régulièrement des colis de valeur via La Poste, j’ai choisi d’assurer mes envois avec Secursus en raison du nombre croissant de pertes. Suite à la disparition d’un colis, j’ai fourni les justificatifs demandés et j’ai été remboursé rapidement du montant assuré. Service sérieux, réactif et fiable — je recommande vivement Secursus.

J'ai souscris a leur assurance pour…

J'ai souscris a leur assurance pour assurer un objet d'une valeur de 820€ le 05/08/2025.

Il s'agit d'un retour SAV à mes frais sur un site marchand.

J'ai donc assuré l'objet via leur service pour être tranquille.

Je me suis vite rendu compte que sur le suivi du colis, ça ne bougeait plus.
J'ai donc fait une réclamation auprès de colissimo et ouvert un sinistre auprès de secursus.

J'ai attendu 2 mois, j'ai eu une réponse de colissimo le 17/09/2025 qui confirmait la perte de mon colis, j'ai donc transmis le mail a secursus qui m'ont répondu le lendemain, 2 mois après, alors qu'ils avaient tous les éléments en leur possession depuis 6 semaines, que mon envoi n'était pas couvert selon la clause 5.3 de leur contrat.

Ils ont donc refusé de m'indemniser pour une clause équivoque et abusive.

Je vous conseille fortement d'assurer vos colis via l'assurance des transporteurs directement, c'est pratiquement le même prix et au moins vous n'aurez pas la surprise d'avoir un refus pour une clause bidon.

Edit : ils ont bloqué mon compte et m’accusent d’être un fraudeur car c’est le premier colis que j’assure chez eux.

C’est le serpent qui se mord la queue, ce sont définitivement des escrocs fuyez !

Votre envoi concernait un retour SAV, c’est-à-dire le renvoi d’un article déjà acheté à un commerçant. Ce type d’expédition est spécifiquement exclu de notre couverture, conformément à l’article 5.3 de nos Conditions Générales.

Par ailleurs, le suivi Colissimo indique que le colis n’a jamais été expédié. Dans ce cas, aucun sinistre ne peut être reconnu, puisqu’aucune preuve de dépôt ni mouvement logistique n’existe.

Enfin, comme il s’agissait de votre tout premier envoi, déclaré comme perdu immédiatement après souscription, une suspicion de fraude a été soulevée, d’où le blocage préventif de votre compte en attendant les vérifications nécessaires.
