Shinki was very friendly and warm when he arrived for our tour. He was very accommodating to our group, as I'm sure we took way too long chatting and walking amongst different places.

He showed us a lot of great places to eat, both in and out of the market, and also explained the generational history of the places. He was also very happy to answer our questions about japanese eating culture, which I really appreciate.

The food highlight for me was the beef nigiri, which was juicy and succulent, but the true star for me was the dashi vending machine. I wish something like that existed in Switzerland!

If there was one thing I could suggest, is that the description or direction of the meeting place could be a bit more specific. There were more than one Starbucks in the area, and we spent some time figuring out which one was the right one.

Rebecca was a great guide. I love secret food tours because the guides go the extra mile. The food is always excellent and there’s often a token of appreciation. For instance, on this tour, we were given a good luck charm. Highly recommend these guys.

Secret Food Tours rips off local tour operators. They are a global entity that profits off of invading new cities, duplicating the so-called "mom and pop" food tours, which were painstakingly developed by actual locals with an actual understanding of the local food culture. They then undercut the price of the original concept, which doesn't benefit anyone: the suppliers (restaurants) get ripped off, the guides are paid less, and the customers receive less food and less quality. You get what you pay for.

We had Eric as our guide. He was very knowledgeable and engaging. Even our 12 year old enjoyed the tour. There was a very good variety of food which was very tasty and good quality. The tour of the neighborhood was also quite educational and there was a fun jeopardy game at the end. Highly recommend. Will try the Jean-Talon & Little Italy food tour next.

I had an amazing time on the Secret Food Tour in Chicago with Mike as our guide! He was incredibly knowledgeable, fun, and made the whole experience feel personal and engaging. The food stops were delicious and gave a real taste of the city’s history and culture. Mike’s enthusiasm and storytelling really brought everything to life—I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Chicago!

This food tour was AMAZING! At first, I wasn't sure about the cost but it was worth every penny! Our tour guide, Laura, was engaging, entertaining and energetic. She introduced us not only to the many flavors of San Antonio but to the colorful history and folklore as well. She actually influenced us to fine tune the rest of our week itinerary based on the history and areas she noted while we walked restaurant to restaurant. We have done many food tours across the United States and this was one of the best. The food is amazing and you need to come hungry because it is plentiful as well.

This tour was perfect to try all the classic food dishes you would expect to try in Chicago. Our guide Lance also gave fun history throughout the tour and incorporated little facts/experiences throughout our walk in the city. this tour only does small groups which makes it a lot more personal, easier to move around/fit in food places, and follow along with the group. The website I booked through has great customer service, after I made a mistake they helped resolve the issues minutes after reaching out.
