Pretty cool place, worth the money

Very nice accommodation, staff is always there to help, convenient for students as there are many communal areas and study rooms

Brilliant site team, overall genuinely great experience here

I've been living at Scape Guildford for two years now, and it’s honestly been my best experience so far. The price is reasonable, and the facilities in the building meet all my needs. The staff are always super friendly and helpful, which makes a big difference. I’ve already rebooked my room for a third year, and I’m really happy that I get to stay here for another year! 🤩

I stayed at scape during my first year at university and it was brilliant. The events meant I was able to make new friends as I wasn’t that close with my flatmates. The staff are all really friendly and get problems resolved very quickly especially the maintenance team. I love it so much I am staying there next year and really looking forward to it.

The housekeeping on each floor is not as regular as in communal area. Elevators often break down during winter.

I think scape is very accommodating, as well as having nice staff the facilities here are very good and whilst I do not use all of them personally I can appreciate they are on offer. The rooms are great also in most aspects as I have most things I need here bar a few minor things so that's a plus but my only gripe would be the air conditioning (if there is any as I'm not sure) if I had to pick something to criticize as I suffer from multiple disabilities which get worse in the heat which can be a struggle for me personally especially in the summer time and with the country getting hotter and hotter year on year I feel like it is only a matter of time before it is a nesseccity to have. That's is only a nitpick though as overall I am really happy with scape as a whole and the staff so thanks to everybody who helps run the building.

Scape is a great place to stay. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the facilities provided are good too.

Basically feels like living in a boujee jail, do what you will with that information. To save face, they hand out candies at reception to people leaving good reviews..
A couple of negatives:
- Use circuit laundry, which makes laundry 6/7 pounds per wash and dry on top of already extortionate rent costs
- Bad ventilation, always have to air out my windows which only open a few centimeters, unbearable when it's hot outside
- There have been people who have tried to intrude into our flat (or clusters, as they call it...) at 4 am which has woken me up.
- Staff are not proactive about issues at all, and are providing subpar customer service. I currently work in customer service and their attitude is appalling, they seem totally disinterested in answering enquiries and only give half-hearted answers.
- Lots of noise from inconsiderate residents both outside and inside the flat which hasn't really been done anything about
- Their parcel system is very inconvenient, you aren't even given a parcel key or a parcel service (you have to ask reception and some of the time, they're not even there). Don't be surprised if your parcel gets lost either because of said system..
- They do not provide amenities such as iron boards or vacuums across flats (you have to ask reception and also sign off on a sheet). Normal university halls provide this and their rent cost is much lower.
- Encountered maintenance issues which they're barely bothered to fix. Don't be surprised if they don't give you a 24 hour notice in the event that maintenance is doing checks.
- Wifi outage during assessment season (having hotspot on doesn't work either, as cell reception is terrible, coincidentally...)
- There's now construction noises during exam season, which should've been done before or after. really bad timing.
- Guest policy, you have to send in a form to have guests stay over and get the consent of staff. Ridiculous. Honestly no respect for your privacy.
- Dynamic pricing, meaning students pay different prices for the same room. This is unethical!!

My first weeks/few months here here were pretty okay so it's alright for a short term/summer stay, but do not stay here long term.
If you're even considering booking here, please read through the tenancy agreement thoroughly, and consider the legalities of it! I wish I fully knew what I signed up for earlier on.

Avoid Scape at all costs. The owners are cheapskates who do everything they can to take advantage of their tenants. Because you're a student, they know they can get away with providing subpar service with their rude staff and constant maintenance issues/construction.

The staff are the worst part about the experience. All staff have poor attitudes (except when you're moving in with parents to make a good impression) and will roll their eyes at you when you ask them to open your room or pick up a package. Benjamin, the night shift worker is the worst of them all. Multiple students have complained about his rude behavior. He'll give you attitude anytime you need something and knows you're a student, so there's no need to provide quality customer service. I say this as someone who has worked various customer service jobs, so I know this behavior is unacceptable.

Just when you think it won't get worse Scape will make you pay for laundry AND log all of your device IDs so they can charge you for WiFi and snoop on your search history. Their dryers also barely work and you'll have to beg for a refund if your clothes don't dry properly.

Any positive reviews, are either totally fake or simply outdated. Trust the 1 stars.

The best part of it all, is they're trying to bribe students with easter eggs so they can save face with good reviews!

Poor heating, lots of maintenance issues that don't get fixed, rude staff, extremely poor wifi, cold in winter, too expensive, flatmates don't pick up after themselves and admin does nothing. Staff take zero responsibility for laundry or wifi or maintenance issues despite it being their responsibility to look after.

This company is not responsive in terms of returning my bond money. It is over 2.5 months now and they keep making excuses that since the refund is through an international bank transfer it will take a long time. It makes no sense. They seem to be purposefully dragging their feet.

LOVE the staff, everyone is so sweet and helpful. good room space, i got everything i need. only bad thing i would say is the smoke free policy and the ongoing construction :)

Scape Wembley has a fantastic location, and nice rooms available. The staff members are all so kind and friendly, it is perfect for student living.
