I bought a Victoria sponge which is an age old cake recipe and very easy to do. My sponge was good but the filling was appalling! There were three small blobs of cream and a slither of jam. It cost 3.99 and was worth pennies. Very very poor and I won't be eating here again. No problem with the staff.

Took my Mum out for the first time since her stroke. We were there late in the day. The restaurant bent over backwards to provide us with a tasty treat even though it was close to their finish time. The food was fresh and lovely. On leaving the skies opened and rain poured down. A very considerate member of staff stayed with Mum whilst I got the car, then helped me get her into it. I hadn't asked for assistance, it was offered as she could see my predicament. Thank you Ruxley for a great afternoon.

What a lovely company to deal with!! Without a doubt the best Customer Services I’ve ever had to deal with..Thank you Loretta your a credit to Ruxley Manor.
It was unfortunate that the courier damaged my parcels in transit, without hesitation you arranged pick up the following day and processed my refund.
I would most definitely recommend Ruxley Manor and buy with confidence in the future.

The red headed lady who “hosts” for the restaurant is so rude and unpleasant. This is the third time I have come across her and been spoken to poorly, hence the review. The restaurant is overpriced and the new format isn’t what it was but the person who is meant to welcome you and show you to a table is far from what a hostess should be. We love shopping at Ruxley around Christmas and enjoy the decorations greatly but I was not prepared to experience poor customer service yet again and not write a review.

We bought the Sintra garden set for our conservatory, we had fantastic customer service from start to finish, fantastic quality product & free delivery all the way to Ipswich, thank you all so very much, will recto be everyone

Don’t buy a Gazebo from here
This year they had none till late in the season!
For good reason
I purchased one March 2021 used for a few months!
All stored away in shed.
Got it out April 2021
And my gazebo roof had gone a green colour!
As we put it on it fell to bits !
And I mean fell to bits
My husband took it back said they will get contact with the company they purchased it from.
I phoned ombudsman
He was surprised with the way I was being dealt with!
Then Ruxley said they would replace the roof !
So I had to go with it
2023 got the roof out late may and low and behold it split in the middle! Tiny but no good.
On two sides
Now I have two big rips now
Disgusting
Only used around 8 months all told
Soon this will be on the dump
What a waste of money
And there useless staff
No help at all
Heads up don’t buy from here !!!

Helpful when taking order, £2.5k payment and great delivery, but they have no ability to deal with problems when things go wrong. We have been waiting for weeks and weeks for a replacement parasol (which is fully available from loads of suppliers on the web) but no one at Ruxley Manor can ever contact us, return calls or actually resolve the outstanding issue. Every communication and chase just disappears into a black hole that they call “aftersales”.

Went to restaurant and had lovely cheese and ham ploughman's. Also cherry scone and clotted cream. Absolutely lovely. However this was let down by absolutely tasteless weak tea that we kept stirring but still like dish water. RUXLEY please change to a quality tea like Twinings or something!

At last I have found a garden centre,
That is actually selling very good quality TOP SOIL that I can use in proper soil mixes and achieve really good soil for my plants and know that they will grow very well in.
The WESTLAND TOP SOIL IS FREE FROM WEEDS and provides very good results and works well with WESTLAND FISH,BLOOD & BONE.
SO now I have found a really good centre that sells good soil products,I can grow good plants and know that I can easily get more soil when needed.
WELL DONE RUXLEY MANOR & WESTLAND FOR PRODUCING GOOD QUALITY PRODUCTS.
staff in the Nursery are extremely helpful+ knowledgable.

The butchers has much to be desired.Tough old steak spruced up to look like filets.Unedible & had to be given to the dog to test its teeth on. £20 down the Swanee !

So disappointed with the grotto experience this year. We have attended each year, for the past 8 years and eagerly book our tickets in August/September and look forward to our annual trip to Ruxley which has become a tradition. This year, we paid £50 for 2 adults and 2 children to attend and felt nothing but utter disappointment. We felt the whole experience was really rushed, lasting just over 20 minutes and very repetitive with the same activity as last year - decorating elf hats with stickers!

We also had lots of loud noise from the photo/gift area whilst the children were seeing Santa which was just outside our room as the door had been left open a bit. It really did spoil the magic, for what has become a very expensive Santa visit. As if it isn’t bad enough that to cram as much profit in as possible there are 4/5 Santas seeing children in different rooms. My 8 year old was very aware of this and asked lots of questions after! We will certainly be looking elsewhere next year!

I did send a complaint to the customer services email but had no response from Ruxley!

Christmas grotto experience really gone down hill compared to previous years. Everything was rushed. Photo at the end had a family member cut out in Christmas ornament. Then member of staff handled this poorly offering one new one despite taking two back??? Bit confused.
Could go on to discuss the lack of staff running the cafe so huge queue outside whilst no one is even seated but shouldn’t really have been surprised

I bought a garden furniture set totalling nearly £2000 which had a couple of issues when it was delivered. I emailed twice and phoned customer services, but 4 weeks on no one from Ruxley has contacted me. It seems they are happy to take my money, but not so keen to deliver on after sales service. Fortunately the manufacturer helped me out and I gave my feedback
on my experience at Ruxley.

The shop is great with a wide selection of plants and all things related. Unfortunately, the restaurant has changed considerably. It feels like a large factory canteen, doesn't make you want to stay there for a meal just a quick cuppa.

Very impressed overall.
This is a huge garden centre, with (almost) everything you could need, offering a very wide range of products. Once the phone/online ordering problems (caused by bank security changes - not completely their fault) are solved, it will be even better.
Plants are high quality and the staff knowledgeable. The restaurant is fantastic. I would highly recommend Ruxley Manor. We will be there again soon.

Can the management of Ruxley Manor Garden Centre explain their policy of providing bags for purchases you make you there. Seems to me that something isn’t right, if you purchase items from the Aquatic shop you are given a paper bag for your goods, yet if you shop in the anywhere else in the centre they are now charging for a paper bag. Not acceptable, the charge for PLASTIC bags was brought in to save the environment, paper bags were not part of this scheme. At Christmas when I shopped here I was given paper bags for goods purchased, why are they now charging for paper bags. Seems like a money making scheme to me they charge you to advertise for them! Even the cheapest shop in town provides you with paper bags for your purchases, why can’t Ruxley Manor who are at the higher end of the pricing scale also provide customers with FREE paper bags. Don’t offer customers a paper bag and then expect payment for it, poor customer relations.

Thank you for the quick delivery and professional sales, just received my in the sale beautiful garden recliner set, and you didn't disappoint they are fantastic. We will be using these instead of a sofa till our new one arrives as it has been delayed. Keep up the great work !

Leaving a postive review because we bought a lot of lovely Christmas decorations and fragile glass items today and the cashier was nice enough to wrap every single one for us. I'm very grateful for the time and care she put in to serving us.

I bought some garden furniture 18 months ago and within a week the surface of the table started to come off. I got in touch with Ruxley and they said they would replace it. It has taken 18 MONTHS! Unfortunately, I had to keep asking what was happening as they failed to keep me updated. Finally it came! Ruxley contacted while I was at work so I called back to arrange delivery. It took a couple of days to get through to the correct person as she didn’t bother to call back and when eventually I spoke to her she told me she had been too busy! Great customer service!
I wouldn’t buy any large item from them again!

The worst shopping experience I ever had. Highly recommend NOT to shop there
