BUT fundamental issue remains - Design of Kit is unsuitable for residential use.
I had a rapid response from customer support to my initial Trustpilot review, (And to another telephone call on another set up issue). [This is unlike 50five below]They can and had reduced the light power - claim is "to 10%" (still appears very bright to me).
Resulting position. You have to have lights. Solid If charger connected to car you can have a circle of blue light. Disconnect from car and have most of circle flashing, Continuous light is less obnoxious but requires - plug in car whenever the car is left in the garage - but not charging (to avoid daily unwanted charge car sessions set to a I minute charge once in 24 hours) So flashing blue light it is NOT a sensible design feature
It still looks ridiculous inside my garage. Christmas will soon be over BUT for 24 hours a day 365 days a year it will continue to light up the room. Like others on line I don't need or want this. One small led light and an app would suffice, (it has previously). Never seen anything as gaudy. Technical function ie charging fine but flashing LEDs around the plug insertion point, YUK. it is an unadjustable design feature to warn of any and all "issues"
I am a low mileage user, (under 4000m p.a.). I run the 68 Kwh EV battery low then charge it high, always overnight, for one or two days a month. So for 24 hours almost every day and daytime every day it flashes blue, flashes blue again and again tirelessly.
The online suggested solution by users is cover the circular light zone in tape or the whole front with a cardboard box!
ROLEC a suggestion sell a designer card board box accessory for us to use or MORE HELPFULLY CHANGE THE SOFTWARE SETTINGS or have some customer returns!

Helpful, Clear and Concise Support
After many fruitless hours trying to get answers from Rolec's EV charging partner Monta, Lukasz Wozniak was so helpful - able to give me a clear explanation - help to re-install my chargers to the software which Monta had told me to delete - and explain why they were disconnecting. Problem resolved easily, thank you
On The Tools training
Attended the "On The Tools" training at Rolec HQ with our Estates Electrical Lead and Estates Electrician. We all found it really useful in terms of what technology is out there and learning how to fault find and test EV chargers.
Thoroughly recommend this free session with the friendly Rolec Team.
Factory Visit and Training
We visited the factory for a training day. I have to be honest, I wasn't really sure what to expect or if it was of any benefit before we got there. But I was so wrong. 3 of us went and we all agree it was an invaluable day, a lot of time and effort has been put into the day. It was nice to have a tour of the works and a presentation prior to the meeting and the training was great. it was easy going but also as in-depth as you wanted. Nothing was left unanswered and nothing was too much trouble. A lot of thought and work has gone into the training area.
I feel our Trust is in very safe hands with Rolec for all our EV needs. Lovely people and a happy workplace, that's really noticeable. Oh and the Large T Shirt fitted just fine, I was right I didn't need the XL :-)
Just to add since getting back to our own site today, we have added all the EV Chargers to the app, played about and put one of the units in test and ordered the plug in test module. WE have been given the knowledge to keep our site up and running.

I had a bit of a runaround with Rolec at the start, missed callbacks and difficulty getting back in touch with the member of staff who was originally helping me. However, once I spoke with Piotr in technical support, he took ownership of the issue, talked me through the steps clearly, and ultimately solved the problem quickly. His professionalism and willingness to help were excellent. Four stars because of the initial experience, but Piotr’s support was five-star.

Attended the excellent Rolec EV chargepoint training run by Allan Ross who had deep knowledge of the industry and Rolec's products. A really well constructed and delivered course.

Chargers at Mereoak Park and Ride always have monthly issues.
At least it saves me checking on ZapMap as I’ve removed their name from the filters.

Quick Professional Helpful - Adrian
At fist I was dealing with the on-boarding team who were helpful although I feel like they should have passed me onto the technical team sooner than they did.
However I was passed onto Adrian who was very efficient, called me multiple days in a row when my phone would not ring or I missed his calls.
When he did get through to me, talked me through everything I needed to do, was friendly, polite and helpful. We got everything resoled in 30 minutes pretty much so cannot fault him there.
