Overall a good experience and door is very nice, had to have them back for adjustments on a couple of occasions and it has been resolved.

Rock Door inferior glass
We’ve had a rock door for around 18months
I researched all doors and found and was also told by Gap at Wakefield this was the best most secure door and glass on the market, the door was more expensive than I wanted to spend but thought ok.
18 months on and a small stone has hit the glass from my lawn mower shattering the out side pane.
I’ve tried to contact them to say this isn’t re enforced glass which I thought I was getting by buying the best on the market!
Seems they are just putting mediocre glass and charging premium prices as a burglar could easily smash the glass and gain entry.
Really dissatisfied with the reaction from customer service.
I definitely would not purchase another Rock door as in my opinion it’s not fit for purpose and how they advertise it.
Not a very happy customer.

We would like to clarify that all glass used within Rockdoor products is sourced from reputable UK suppliers and manufactured in accordance with the relevant British and European toughening standards BS EN 12150. Toughened safety glass is specifically designed to provide strength, safety and security, but like all glass products it can still be broken if subjected to a sufficient impact. In fact, the toughening process means that when breakage does occur, the glass shatters into small granular pieces rather than dangerous sharp shards.
From your description, it appears that the damage was caused by a stone being projected from a lawn mower. Unfortunately, this would be considered accidental impact damage rather than a product defect. Even highly secure and premium glazing systems can be vulnerable to concentrated impacts from stones or other hard objects travelling at speed.
Rockdoor doors undergo extensive security testing and are designed to provide a high level of protection against forced entry. The security performance of a door is determined by the complete door and glazing system rather than the glass specification alone.
We are sorry that you were dissatisfied with the response you received from customer services. Customer feedback is important to us, so thankyou for sharing your experience, if you purchased your door through an installer please ask them to quote TPR SHILL and we can work with them to help with a reduced rate on a replacement slab.

Seriously impressed with our Rockdoor
We had our Rockdoor installed around 18 months ago and couldn't be more pleased. We used the online designer to pick out the Carolina design, and then went with one of the local fitters. The quality and overall appearance is miles better than any of the doors we'd seen from other manufacturers - it looks as close as it possibly could to an original wooden Victorian door, but with the added benefits of a modern composite door. The customisation options were brilliant (beautiful high quality gold finish hardware, in particular).
In terms of insulation, the difference between the Rockdoor and the previous old uPVC is huge - the hallway stays noticeably warmer in winter, with no drafts, and it stays cooler in the hot weather.
We've managed to easily get some extra keys cut from a high street shop with no hassle. We've not needed to use any aftercare services as we've had no problems so far, and hopefully will continue to use the door with no issues!

Little disappointed
The door gives the impression of being strong but is a little hard to open and in the winter the metal frame inside the door conducts the cold through so we are a little disappointed. The escutcheon has signs of rust, despite the door being less than 12 months old at the time!

We are pleased to hear that your door gives the impression of being strong and secure, although we are sorry to learn that certain aspects of your experience have left you disappointed.
The signs of rust you have noticed on the escutcheon are often caused by excess moisture in the surrounding air becoming trapped around the door by the weather seals. This can sometimes occur in areas where there is limited ventilation or higher levels of humidity, particularly during the winter months. In the same way, excess moisture can also contribute to condensation forming around the door and glazing.
We would recommend cleaning the escutcheon with a suitable stainless steel cleaner, which will usually remove any surface contamination and restore the finish. It may also be worth evaluating the ventilation in the immediate area around the door to help reduce moisture build-up.
With regard to the door operation and the colder weather, if the door is proving difficult to open or you have concerns about its performance, we would encourage you to contact your installer so that the installation and adjustments can be reviewed.

Utterly perfect door.
The door itself is absolutely fantastic. Solid, and definitely the best oak effect finish I ever see looking at many others. Everything about the door is perfect.
The fitting of the frame is disappointing as it is wonky, much of it no doubt because of the house suffered subsidence in the 1970s. But the original wooden one looked fine, so I would have thought some leaning into the house could have been done. At least even up the left and right side so it wasn't as noticeable. While other houses on the street have an issue, they are so slight they need concentration to see. Ours is way out sadly and easily spotted.

I bought a Rockdoor for the front of the house and it's been excellent. The build quality is immediately obvious, it's heavier and more solid than a standard composite. The 3-star lock as standard gives real peace of mind, and since fitting it the hallway has been noticeably warmer and quieter. The colour and finish have held up perfectly through a wet winter, and the handles and letterbox still feel as tight and premium as the day it went in. Not the cheapest option, but you can see exactly where the money has gone, would happily buy another.

New Stable Door.
Our new stable door is absolutely fantastic. We couldn't be more pleased with it. It replaced our very old wooden one and looks ultra modern and feels rock solid. Doors becoming difficult to open or close can often be caused by movement or settlement within the property or installation area, which may affect alignment over time. Our Rockdoors are designed with 3 way adjustable Simonswerk hinges specifically so that minor alignment adjustments can be made where required during the life of the product.
We would recommend contacting your installer in the first instance so they can inspect the doors and carry out any necessary adjustments to restore correct operation. Once properly aligned, the doors should operate smoothly and as intended.
We appreciate your feedback and are sorry that your experience has been disappointing.

Unfortunately the lock surround was too…
Unfortunately the lock surround was too wide and it caught the seal and wore a whole in it because the company didn’t have a suitable replacement we had to replace which meant we were unable to get one that was as modern and ascetically pleasing the installer was unable to get a reasonable conclusion from Rockdoor Also the lock at times just spins round and round which is ongoing
The door quality seems good but we paid a lot of money and the problems experienced have tarnished our experience.
•The installer says he cannot do anything it is a fault with the door and you fell out with him so getting his m back again would be counter productive really you should look at the door and see if the door has been fitted incorrectly surely•

All of our Rockdoors are extensively and independently tested to ensure they operate correctly with the full range of approved furniture and hardware options supplied with the door. From the information provided, it appears the issue may relates to frame/door adjustment or installation, as the escutcheon should not normally interfere with the gasket or weather seal during operation.
We are also sorry to hear about the ongoing issue with the lock operation. A correctly installed and aligned locking system should engage smoothly without the cylinder spinning, so we would always recommend this is investigated further by the installer to identify the root cause and ensure the correct components are fitted and adjusted appropriately.

Great doors
I had a front and rear door fitted. Quality of doors is superb and great fitters too. Supplied and fitted by Fascia Division in Eastleigh near Southampton. (I highly recommend this company) Don't let any of the poor Rock door reviews put you off, these are great doors, but you must ensure you have good fitters. Doors have been in 6 months now with no issues at all and I still enjoy looking at them and the significant improvement they have made to my property.

The door supplied was made to measure and fits perfectly. The manufacture was of excellent quality. The fitter, Jason Haywood, of Composite Doors Scunthorpe Ltd. was very professional and fitted the door to perfection. Clean, accurate and fast work in a difficult space. Thanks to the quality of the door and the accuracy and ability of the fitter the result was magnificent. I would recommend the manufacturers and the fitter concerned without any reservations.

The door is stunning, however Quality control checks need attention
I was disappointed that the door did not have the ordered post opening/slot cover and that a fault in the side panel glass had not been identified and replaced before being delivered.
The post slot was replaced and i am told the glass will be replaced.
