I had bought an Argon TT3 from you back in March as well as some speakers and stands. I spent alot of money. The first turntable had some damage to it, so it was swapped for another one. All good. This turntable remained unplayed until the middle of July because the room the player was going in was being renovated. The turntable didn't seem to play very well from the start, so I thought it was the fault of my old vinyl records. But on the morning of the 5th it wouldn't play any records at all. It just slid across the record. On closer inspection of the stylus the needle fell out and was in 2 prices, with the main part bent. I couldn't prove it was always like that from the start, but the shop assistant had no interest that it could have been a manufacturing fault and just dismissed it as accidental damage, so I had to pay for a new stylus. Why couldn't the warranty on the turntable cover it? Its sad but I don't think I'll shop with you again....

I'm adding this update because I spoke to David at customer services after writing the original review. He was very understanding and professional in dealing with the above matter. After reviewing the matter, he has given me a full refund the the stylus. Much appreciated in your understanding David. I'm updating this review to 4 stars because of David at customer services.

Impressed with the help & advice

Good service all the time in the shop

The quiz on the website was so helpful in narrowing down the right new TV for me and the price was great. The staff at the Stockport branch went out of their way to help me collect it including having it ready by the door to pick up and carrying it out to the car. When I realised it wouldn't fit on my TV cabinet due to the wide feet, they were fantastic at letting me exchange it for an alternative model and i also bought a new small smart TV for use as a 2nd monitor which was much cheaper than inferior monitors on mainstream websites. All the staff I dealt with were super helpful and knowledgeable - I only wish I could buy all my electricals from there. A customer for life now - thank you

The staff are very helpful and whatever you need, they will help you 100%. Now if they don’t have what you want, they will tell you where to go and find that item.

Great customer service (again), and happy with the product with one major exception..a new £1000+ Smart TV should come with BBC iPlayer, and if it didn’t I would have liked to have been made aware of such an omission. I fully appreciate that the availability of Apps on Smart TV's is outside the control of the Richer Sounds team, but if i was aware of this product shortfall i may have purchased a different TV.

I had a fault with my TV.

As I had a 2-year warranty for a 50" TV, they were able to swap my TV with no issues at all.

Service was great, spoke to Nate on the phone, I phoned to ask if they had a Snowsky disc in store, unfortunately didn't on the day I called, "asked him what would be faster, he mentioned their click and collect service." Got it next day. Staff were great. 1 Happy Customer. Give Nate a pay rise too, he deserves it, and do yourself a favour get yourself a snowsky disc, while you listening to your music you can see your virtual cd spinning around such a fun mp3 player.

Ordered a TCL TV. Kept up to date with pick up time and Stockport manager helped load into the car for me.
My last Samsung TV was bought from Richer Sounds 11 years ago.

From the moment my daughter and I visited the store in Stockport, everything was just perfect. Welcomed in the store early than opening time just to have a look round, friendly staff with excellent customer service. Ordered my item online a couple of weeks later and had it delivered to store so I could collect at my convenience.
The item in question was an Audio-Technica turntable for her birthday 🎁

The main aspect that impressed me about this radio purchase from Richer Sounds Stockport was being able to pick it up from the store at my convenience, i.e. no waiting in for long periods for delivery vans to turn up at my home. The item arrived at the store within 24 hours of ordering.
The great thing about Richer Sounds stores is the real service that i have received for going on 30 years now.

Got exactly what I wanted at the right price

We purchased a new tv from Stockport,rang them up to see if they had in stock they did and it was 200 pound cheaper then anywhere else ,lt was delivered the next day great service and a six year warranty.

I returned to Richer Sounds to buy my son a CD player for his birthday, as an add-on to the amp and turntable that I bought him 3 years ago. The staff remembered me, and were able to tell me exactly what would go best with the separates that he already had and were so knowledgeable and friendly. It made shopping so enjoyable and easy, and the product they recommended is perfect. Delivery was super-quick too.
