I was very pleased and impressed with the service I received in your Leeds store. I had made an appointment to listen to a Ruark dab+radio. It was all set up for me when I arrived, and I was immediately impressed with the sound. The young man demonstrated what the machine could do over a range of formats. He also introduced me to the merits of internet radio. Everything about the Ruark was better than I had hoped. I did not hesitate to buy. It was delivered very quickly, and I am now hooked. Thank you! And the cup of tea while I listened to the machine was a lovely bonus! Exemplary service!

Mikey the senior sales rep was very friendly and helpful whilst helping me select which product I was after. No upselling, he definitely helped me make the right decision and was very patient and knowledgeable whilst demonstrating the hi-fi system.
He then went above and beyond to ensure it was delivered to my home the next day.

Great, friendly service and good value

A week on from the initial visit and my sound system is now all hooked up to perfection. Purchased an EverSolo amp with built in cd, radio, Bluetooth etc. (all a bit technical for me) and I’m delighted with it all. The sound is amazing.
Also my new LG Oled (phase 2 purchase) is wall fixed and set up.
I reviewed phase 1 purchase a week ago.

The staff at Richer Sounds Leeds particularly Harry were brilliant they made me feel like I could have sat there all day auditioning the amplifier that I eventually decided to purchase an overall great experience I highly recommend RicherSounds.

The staff at Richer Sounds are always friendly and helpful and it is go to shop for the things they sell. I am keeping my eyes open for any discount on the next thing I am looking to purchase.

Time has proven my market assessment entirely correct and exposed the retailer's defensive response as misleading. Less than a month after cancelling my order due to their 30-day delay, the exact same TV bundle has now dropped significantly in price on their own website due to the upcoming next-gen OLED releases. This price drop means the total cost today is officially lower than the 'unbeatable, best-out-there' package the Head of Customer Experience aggressively tried to justify to me in April.

By failing to deliver my order for over a month and forcing me to cancel, Richer Sounds inadvertently saved me from overpaying thousands of pounds on a rapidly depreciating model. This pricing reality completely dismantles their claim that I was trying to 'weaponise' reviews; I was simply refusing to be locked into an uncompetitive, delayed contract. Future buyers: please use this as a live case study. Do not let this retailer rush you into complex 'package deals' on stock they do not physically possess—patience and checking current market conditions will save you a fortune.

The discussion regarding the installation fee and soundbar was not a request for a 'discount,' but a demonstration that the 'goodwill' offer simply matched standard promotions already available elsewhere in the market. This evidence was provided to show that the offer did not constitute genuine compensation for a significant service failure, but rather reflected current market conditions. A public review is a tool for consumers to share factual experiences, not a negotiation tactic. If a business perceives honest feedback as a 'weapon,' that is a reflection of their own attitude toward accountability rather than the intent of the reviewer. I have stated the facts, and I stand by my experience.

I have historically valued the Richer Sounds reputation for customer service and their 6-year warranty, but my recent experience with the Richer Sounds Leeds branch was the complete opposite of that expectation.

I pre-ordered a flagship 83 inch LG Oled television, total order value was close to 5k £, and what followed was a more than 30-day delivery delay. During this period, my delivery date was shifted three separate times without any proactive communication. When I raised my concerns, the retailer attempted to justify their "premium" service by highlighting a bundle (soundbar and warranty). However, the math provided to me felt like a deliberate attempt to obscure the total cost. I was quoted a net spend that ignored my actual cash outlay, relying on inflated retail values for bundled items rather than the reality of what I was paying. To make matters worse, I discovered that better bundle deals—such as the soundbar being offered for free alongside a lower TV price in February, or the same soundbar being offered for free again very recently—were available to others. Yet, I was expected to pay for this item as part of an expensive, delayed, and uncompetitive package.

The retailer argued that the product was already at a "discounted" price, but even a lower price point does not justify a month-long service failure. Furthermore, they counted a small "goodwill" reduction in installation costs as a saving, while ignoring that other premium retailers provide this installation for free. When a company fails to meet delivery windows for over a month—while competitors have stock available for next-day dispatch—the bundling of warranty and audio equipment becomes irrelevant to the customer's actual experience. It felt as though their "Price Beat" promise was an inconsistent sales tactic rather than a transparent policy.

I eventually cancelled my Richer Sounds order and received a refund. If you are researching a Richer Sounds review before making a major purchase, I strongly recommend verifying live stock availability and comparing total package pricing against manufacturer-direct offers. A reputation for "the best service" should be defined by reliability and transparency, not by justifying higher costs or slower service through complex bundles and creative accounting.

Harry is an absolute credit to the Leeds store! Super helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable. Repaired my 20 year old speakers and communication throughout was brilliant. No hard sell and then gave me plenty of time to use the listening room (and lots of coffee) when I was looking at different systems to complement my repaired speakers. Fantastic experience with the Leeds store, highly recommend.

Having been the very first UK customer, to have a 115 inch Micro RGB 4K Ultra HD HDR Smart TV installed in my home. And I am so happy I bought it, it is an amazing TV, the colours are something I have never seen before, they are absolutely fantastic, and the picture quality is by far the best I have ever seen on any TV, better than being at the pictures, they are really that good, and I would recommend the TV to anyone.
Every time I turn this TV on, it puts a huge smile on my face, every time.
And thank you so much to Richer Sounds, has there kept me informed on every update, and also for organizing the installation, and the huck up to my surround sound system.
