I have to sit there reading books that are not interesting and you get put on support mode. Also when you read to fast you get put on hold and the teacher needs to stop doing what she is doing and take me of hold and if you just get put on hold once my teacher starts saying why are you on hold. Sometimes I don’t even read same for others and my teacher check who is reading and if you’re not reading then you get detention and you stay in for the whole of break and lunch and you get sent to the headteachers office if I could I would rate it a -1000000000000 stars. I am trying to do my stats and go to secondary school and I am on reading plus 0 stars schools don’t get this

Reading plus actually used to be kind of fun to begin with, but now it has turned into a bunch of garbage. For example, according to one text, which was supposed to be "non–fiction," Winston Churchill was Prime Minister twice (once in WW2, which was correct, and once in the 1950s, which is wrong). This is now just boring, and causes suffering. Also, the comprehension questions often have absolutely nothing to do with the actual text. In my opinion, this website should be considered obsolete and out dated.

This website is horrible, the website is so outdated. Whenever I realise I have a reading plus lesson, I shed a tear. I hate doing it, I am always on hold most of the time when I read the whole thing to the point I start to spam. Please fix this website.

it sucks its like taking a kids reading love and throwing it away there's no books good and to be honest you should risk a detention because this is awful. it makes me and my class hate ourselves i haven't met a single person who likes this app sincerely the person who would sacrifice themselves to delete this app

Well my primary school used this and let's just say this is absolutely TRASH and I agree with the reviews! So anyways my school made us use it almost EVERY morning and I have not improved the G rate is ssoooo slow and when I read at my normal I rate it says "slow down ur reading TOO FAST" so basically that is just making my reading worse and the vocabulary ugh like for most words it's impossible to master them as you can only humanly possibly get 4 or 5 points when u need 7 + points and the words u can master but u get wrong it says it as wrong when u have learnt the meaning and typed the correct word but when u type the same word again it says correct. Flash is just useless scan is useless but at least a bit fun. OVERALL AVOID THIS SCAMMY APP

I'm a Year 7 student who gets assigned Reading Plus homework every week and it is insufferable. The G-rate is either a snail or a fighter jet and you need to match it EXACTLY while reading independently or you need to re-read the page. The comprehension questions are more about memory than understanding the text and you must be near PERFECT to keep advancing and for your assignments to count. The design is extremely outdated and if you (God forbid) don't have a photographic memory you get a patronising "Uh-oh. Your score was XX% on your last reading lesson," etc. Also, when on the last "combo" of a level, you don't get to use any assistance, just your memory. Also, the percentage calculation is RIDICULOUS because a correct question is worth 10% (or 20%, more on that later) while a "partial credit" is, you guessed it, 4%. LEARN MATHEMATICS! Also, if you manage to survive for 5 levels, you only get asked 5 questions and once again, a "partial credit" is WRONG: 8% while a correct question is 20%. Any teachers reading this: do NOT use this archaic, frustrating and patronising website.I use this website as homework at school and to be honest its really bad. The teachers say it 'improves your reading' but all it does is make you read longer texts and increase your reading speed. Some people in my class would disagree with me, but in my case im quite and advanced reader so the texts for me are always too short or too straightforward. The stories on there are mostly informational and no real stories. Plus you have to get to a high level to find stories that are actually interesting. It also makes me want to read less physical books because im so mentally tired from reading them i cant be bothered to read actual books. In all of the levels there are limited stories (because of course there cant be infinite stories for reading plus to have) but there is a very small variety to choose from. Overall could be improved a lot in many ways.

I'm a licensed therapist and I tried this out, because they where complaining about it. I thought it couldn't be that bad. BUT NO. it is worse than bad. I read five books. IT MADE ME FEEL ANXIOUS, DEPRESSED AND IT GAVE ME BAD ANXIETY when using. PLEASE. TO ALL THE SCHOOLS OUT THERE THAT USE THIS. DON'T DO IT ANYMORE. THIS IS MENTALLY DRAINING YOUR KIDS. PLEASE CONSIDER JUST MAKING THEM READ AND YAP ABOUT THE BOOK AFTER. It's so simple.

Do the developers know of a thing called MENTAL HEALTH????

Genuinely the most boring website on google
Reading Plus is meant to be a tool to help people improve their reading, although all it manages to do is to calculate scores wrong. I am convinced they search for the least interesting books, stories and articles on the internet. Also, when you are on independent mode, if you go just a little too fast, its say you are reading too far above your speed and if you do it too many times it doesn't record one. Maybe if they chose interesting books i would be writing this reviewTRASH website my G rate is sooooooooo slooooooooow.It doesn't even help with my reading. And when I was reading it said TOO FAST! even though it was my adavage speed and doesn't help with my reading ,English or spelling.This is don't make students use this it's a waste of time"TICKET TO HELL!!!"

the website looks and feels like it hasn't changed since since it 2010 or before that, not to mention me and my class were begging our teacher to not assign it to us as homework. forced to use this website by my school for 2 years (left that school at end of first year of middle school)

The questions are hard and unforgiving, I don't understand them at all. I've read the question a million times, and I'm STILL confused.

I find reading plus extremely annoying and draining due to it being boring unenjoyable and time wasting the books have no more then 3 starts i believe schools use this just to make kids shut up so they do something theirs nothing good about it because every morning i get headaches and migraines due to it just being black and white looks like its made on word to be honest its just a waste of time and money for schools it would be better to use a book less stress less headaches and more this is the thing i find school unmotivating i sometimes be off because of it would rather do maths instead to be honest

I have been using this program sinch 7th grade I'm now a sophomore this does not help it makes me want to pull my hair out and cry. it is just repetitive and doesn't help. the reading bar always feels like it is moving to slow or to fast, I read story's at different paces add if I'm having a good day and going fast it says i'm moving to fast and locks me out and if i'm going to slow it does the same. the story's are also all boring and make me not want to read, I got though all the engadinging story's when I was in 7th grade. over all I hate this program and it feels more like a punishment than tool to help me read.

I have been using Reading Plus for less than two years, and I already love it. It really helped improved my reading, comprehension, and vocab!! I would definitely recommend this app to anyone and everyone, and I think it is especially good for primary and intermediate schools. I was a good reader before I found this, but now I am in Year 8, and I am reading at the level of a Year 11! Once again, really great app, you should definitely try it!

Today I was doing reading plus like a normal student gets forced to, but then out of nowhere the dreambox reading logo jumps out the screen and k!lls all my classmates and I run home to my basement where I am now trapped I hear banging on my basement door send help immediately

It is good but it says you got to many books less than 80 percent in support mode so it stops me from reading until I am released it should not do that for an app that "helps" reading skills and the books are mostly AI generated atleast my school and class make it a competition to make it fun also why do powers exist because yeah they are helpful but still 10 percent extra makes it look like a cheat sheet in a test and we need 100 percent or going up a level to get a team point in our class so 90 percent and owning a power can make 100 percent making you look better at reading than you are.
