Poor Management in Woodbridge NJ Store
I will start with, I have been a loyal R&F customer for over 5 years now. Today, we had an appointment with a Sales Manager to place an order using credit provided by the platinum protection team due to a no longer supported repair claim. Upon arriving we waited for approximately 15 minutes after our scheduled appointment and we had to go look for a person to help us. We found Angie, the “Sales Manager,” who immediately became confrontational and began to tell my wife that what we were doing was not right because sales people make their money on commission and this type of transaction would not count as commission. First, a sales rep or manager personal opinion on what customers are doing does not mean you can voice that to the customers face. We spend a lot of our hard earned money on furniture at your stores and I do not want to be criticized for something that we have the right to do. We received a credit and wanted to apply that to a purchase. Why can’t we? It’s our money and we are able to do that. This is unacceptable and unprofessional behavior from anyone, let alone a manager. Clearly there needs to be more Customer Service and Empathy training for this manager because if she said that to our faces, who knows what she says to her peers or associates behind the scenes or in our absence.
This has been an eye opening experience for us and a first at any R&F store.

Mattress Purchase
I bought a mattress only. I called customer service ahead of time to make sure they would take away my old mattress and box spring even if i was only buying a mattress which they assured me they would. I went to the store and the salesman (George) told me the same thing. The new mattress was being delivered the next day and I was told I would be given a 3 hour time window for delivery. This was all a lie. the called me at 8:00AM and said they would be there in 20 minutes and they also would not take my box spring. The said they don't give 3 hour time windows and they only do a one for one swap with the items. The delivery guys were very nice about it and I had no problem with them. It was the salesman and the customer service at the store and on the phone that lied to me.

The company promised to take the old mattress and boxspring. They refused to take the boxspring. I hope to be contacted by a representative who will honor this guarantee. If not, I will seek out other companies for the purchase of future furniture products.

I thought my salesman was outstanding
I thought my salesman was outstanding. He didn’t try to push me into buying anything I didn’t want and try and find the item I came in to look at. He did recommend the item I bought which is different from what I asked for but definitely fit my wants. Worked hard to get me the best offer. Would definitely recommend him.

Josephine was exceptionally helpful from the moment we entered. We stayed our interest in a Purple mattress. She guided us to your selection, explained the features, benefits, and prices. Josephine listened to our needs and helped us select the mattress that best fit our needs. The information shared and reminder about your guarantee assured us that we were making the right choice. We especially appreciated her suggestion of using the elevator, as my partner was clearly recovering from knee surgery. After leaving a deposit, she followed up with our decision and proactively scheduled our delivery. Josephine’s customer service was impeccable! Thank you!!!

gave good info but not overbearing
Normally I hate furniture stores, but I had to buy a gift for my husband. It takes me forever to make a decision, so I'm very uncomfortable having people just stand there looking at me while I'm trying to decide. The sales Rep at this store was so nice and so kind, and he gave really good information without standing over me, so I didn't feel uncomfortable.
