I recently had a troubling experience with this dog groomer who operates in a way that raises concerns. During our visit, not only did she handle my dog roughly in front of me, but I also witnessed her seemingly delighting in the discomfort of the dogs, which is deeply unsettling especially as she stunk of booze.

Additionally, she charged an extra £25 for "accidents" that occurred through what must have been a very stressful groom, this has never happened before.

To make matters worse, I read her Google reviews beforehand and looking back at them. They are suspiciously filled with overly positive reviews that seem to come from fake accounts, raising doubts about her credibility. This experience left me feeling very uneasy, and I cannot recommend her services to anyone who truly cares about their pets' well-being.

Have been twice to this shop, each time the shop owner has been really rude and abrasive. My dog has come out every time, very head shy and disliking my touch which is unusual for her! I will not be back as I questioned this and got a torrent of abuse back that left me in tears. Funnily enough, she’s polite to my husband but not to me.

I’ve informed the rspca as I’ve found out others have had a similar experience with their dogs behaving differently after visiting or getting charged £25+ extra for diarrhoea caused by her actions!

Never mentioned she cut my dog in three places when I came to collect, we only noticed when we saw a large puddle of blood in the back of the car on the blanket. One cut was so bad, it required 5 stitches from the vet. Tried to get her to contribute towards the vet bill and instead got a load of abuse hurled at myself and my husband. She spent a couple of months sending threatening emails so I’ve shown these to the police.

RSPCA very aware of this, trading standards very aware and also the vet.

Joined trustpilot, just to leave this review because honestly she deserves it.

Between this shop and mango’s, I’m wondering who is taking fawlty towers style lessons from whom!

Whenever I go past this shop like I did Friday, pooch wellness is open before 7am! Also closed earlier than stated hours. This, I’d imagine is likely to cause confusion for anyone wanting to pop in and ask questions while in town. I had hoped to enquire about availability in person but nevermind, I will try another groomer.

I’ve been past 3 days this week with my furry pal early because of the heat. The shop has been open long before her opening times (between 7-7.30am). Does not appear to be taking clients at this time despite running the hair dryer.. the neighbours and anyone nearby must absolutely hate her!
So I’m wondering why it happens aside from to annoy the neighbours as she clearly isn’t working? Does she need a hobby? Does Royston bid approve of the shenanigans if it is indeed to annoy the neighbours?

Reduced my rating as I have spoken to a few dog people around the local area and it turns out they’ve all stopped going due to being overcharged for what was quoted, charged for biting when their dog has never bitten anyone, being charged for diarrhoea when their pets has never done this before and their dogs have come out seriously stressed from the experience, dogs suddenly avoiding being touched/ covered in bruises and cuts after being groomed there, for the super rude attitude of the woman as she berates you and threatens to call the rspca on owners despite ruining two dogs coats with her own lack of knowledge.

I dodged a bullet massively and it appears the negative reviews on Google are correct. Avoid if you can. To anyone who has been, sounds like trading standards need to be involved.

I brought my dog here to be groomed and had a terrible experience. I recently moved to the area and tried this groomer for the first time… my chow had been groomed on 6 weekly schedule without any issues in the past with price or behaviour. I have never blackmailed any groomer or person in my life.
I had the worst experience at Pooch wellness, got ripped off and and my dog was traumatised. On the website I was quoted £60 for a chow chow groom I was charged £390 on the day and in complete shock. The lady was abusive and threatening told me my dog was aggressive and defecating throughout the groom. I just paid and left crying due to the abuse towards me and the stressed state that my dog was returned to me in.
I’ve since been in touch with the other groomer in the shop as she has left due to poor treatment of animals and the RSPCA have been informed. She did not help you brush out my dog you did it alone. Dogs only Poo during grooming due to fear and anxiety this has never happened before with my dog or since. The RSPCA have been informed by multiple people and are investigating.

I’m leaving a review here as the woman who runs the shop has a nasty habit of deleting reviews she doesn’t agree with or sending threats to the customers who dare.

I’ve been twice and honestly will never go again. She was rude both times along with her sidekick. The first time my boy came out with cuts and burns and uneven grooming and I chalked it up to him being nervous and not being able to sit still. The second time I sat outside and watched, to my joy I got to view her screaming at him and again covered in patches cut to short and cuts. Which left him itchy and irritated and needing vet advice, a bath and creams to soothe his skin. I’ve seen others complaining of the same thing so I just won’t rebook in future as I know it’s pointless/anxiety inducing to complain directly to the shop.
