I applied, got approved , downloaded the app but tried to sign in it doesn’t work because the code that was sent to my phone number WAS NOT SEND.

THE APP IS USELESS! This is scam, they just want your information after you applied and NOTHING WORKS!!

Watch out! The bill to be paid was $2270 USD. During payment process, Pomelo offered me Canadian currency instead of USD for up to 128 CAD savings. The total came out to be 3283 CAD with a note indicating .69 as the exchange rate. After conversion it was equivalent to 2265 USD. Not that much savings but still sounded okay and fair to me. But once I went ahead and completed the transaction, my credit card account showed charges of $2318 which was $48 more than my original due of $2270.

Be careful! Do not accept different currency offers whatsoever! I strongly suggest Pomelo not to make such currency exchange offers to customers to save them some money and headaches down the roads.

Pomelo Pay has just refunded me the $48 difference after I reported the situation to my credit card company. Thanks, Pomelo.

I pay this card ahead of time but have limits on how often you can send without going over my limit. It’s not a good way to send money do not get one!!!! Use Remitly instead

Pomelo is a cost effective option to sending funds to the Philippines at a competitive price. Although you can not send “cash”, cardholders can purchase items anywhere Mastercard is accepted. Sign up is easy, especially if you have excellent credit. (To avoid problems and delays, send link to additional cardholders via email…do not send via text, Messenger or Viber) For me, with an 838 credit score, 3 cards were activated within 5 business days. I was given max credit limit of $1000 with no security deposit. I had one problem activating the primary card which was rectified immediate as it was my fault in misreading CVV number. No problem contacting customer service via Chat-bot. Worked great! One card used online and another used in-store with no problem. Even received a promotional rate of $1=60 peso for the first $500 spent for each card, if used in 45 days or so…a total savings of nearly 6000 pesos ($100). The only thing that could make Pomelo better is being able to receive cash at ATMs. Hopefully, they are working on it. If you are sending or spending money in the Philippines, Pomelo is a sensible option for you.

I'm not able to signup for a week, the signup page in the app takes me to the app store where I already have the app installed, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and I've tried Android and iOS. I have tried to contact them on their support email and Facebook but they do not respond

After being disillusioned with Stripe I've started to use Pomelo for both payment links and Tap To Phone for accepting payments. I'm getting next day payouts (instead of 7 days waiting) and the fees are much lower. They don't support Amex yet but for most of my company doesn't have a big impact.

Do not do it!!! This does not work as advertised!!!! Getting help is rotten! Your money will be tied you do not have the control advertised the help center is grayed out and unusually there are no humans to speak with! They have not refunded my money I keep asking! Complete nightmare!!!!

Fantastic Service. Nice and simple process to open the account and lots of support from the team when something is not right. Sara responds to in app messages 7 days a week, even bank holidays, and always has an answer to a question. I'd highly recommend them to others who want a quick and easily solution to taking card payments and at a low rate. Thanks!

We haven't been with Pomelo very long, but after using several other providers over the years, we are very impressed so far. Ease of use, 'can do' staff attitude (Sara and Simon), availability of staff on chat... All good. We hope Pomelo will be our payments solution for many years to come.

Pomelo Pay are an alternative to Paypal. My customers find it easy to pay via their payment link and I get paid the next day. The commissions are much lower than paypal which for a small business is important. I thoroughly recommend them

Great User Experience - Recommend!

I run a market stand and been using this company since February as it had the lowest fees. I didn't know much about it but I definitely did not regret my decision : they have no contract and a fair processing fee, which meant one thing less to worry about in the months I could not trade. I was also quite pleased with how much they work on making sure the app fits what I need: there were certain feature of no use for me and the fact that I could personalise and feedback what I would have liked instead made a big difference as it made the whole payment process much easier for me and my customers. I would definitely recommend it

Ive been using this for my business for around 6-9 months. Its much better than waiting for invoices to be paid, also one of the best fees on the market. Customer service is spot on and they take any recommendations on board on how to improve, which is great as companies do not always listen to their customers. Would recommend 100%

We run a food stand and using Pomelo pay has been a great way for us to be Covid safe and contact free. It gives us all the pros of having a card reader but without having to carry one around or actually buy one! We have also found the next day payout really helpful this year it made cashflow so much easier and if i ever had a question i just needed to open that chat in the corner and i always get a response in a couple of minutes! Awesome product, platform and people!

I have been using Pomelo Pay for about 6 months due to issues accepting cash payments during Covid. Have found it to be a great app! Easy to use with excellent customer service and reasonably priced compared to others. Highly recommend
