Pricing and unable to speak to anyone
Have tried to ring, text, WhatsApp, log through the portal and message on Facebook. Impossible to get in contact.
Trying to cancel before even accessing the unit due to other many reviews regarding pricing hiking up and would rather not move all of my contents into this only to then need to move back out once they start increasing the pricing the way other customers have said. I need to know what will be paying going forward and not be hit with a bill that is out of my price range.
Can someone please get in contact to cancel my unit and refund me. I can not upload an image of the unit clean and empty as I have not even accessed the site and tried to contact/cancel within an hour or 2 of putting the deposit down.

I can see that your messages were sent at around 1am on Saturday morning when our office was closed and no staff were available to respond. As soon as your request was seen, the unit was cancelled and a refund was processed for you.
In regard to pricing, we offer a discounted introductory rate for the first 8 weeks, after which the unit moves to the standard storage rate. This information is provided during the sign-up process. Even after the promotional period ends, our rates remain highly competitive and are typically well below those offered by many other storage providers in the area.
We're sorry to hear that you decided not to proceed with the storage, but we can confirm that your cancellation and refund have been dealt with.

I have had so many problems from…
I have had so many problems from signing up to accessing the unit, 3 times charging me the wrong amount and today having an email upping the costs by more than 40% and then a £20 late fee being taken straight from my account. I previously deleted a 1 star review as they refused to correspond and this unfortunately is the only way you can get their attention!
I will be moving out of the unit like so many others have done due to the rising costs!

The issues were resolved AFTER the post, not before as you mention. I have received NO comments regarding pricing as you have mentioned either. Please be truthful in your responses.

The payment in question failed due to an "insufficient funds" decline code returned by your bank. As a result, a late fee was automatically applied in line with our terms. Once the payment was successfully processed, the late fee was credited back to your account and the matter was resolved.
We have also responded to your queries regarding pricing. Like many storage providers, we periodically review rates, and customers are notified in advance of any changes.
We always aim to respond to customer enquiries and resolve issues fairly. We are disappointed that this review does not reflect the outcome that was reached.

Price increas are ridiculas, plus the recent notice that entry to Newport site will be via ANPR is at best more than confusing, given that when i took up a container it clear said was already ANPR worse still visited the site today to get items for a customer and ANPR Not working despite had already put the reg number of both my cars on my account and of course gate code no longer working clear will have to reconsider location for my storage needs.

The Newport site has been transitioning to ANPR-only access, and we appreciate that this has caused some confusion. While the site has had ANPR capabilities for some time, the recent changes involve moving away from keypad access entirely. We apologise for any inconvenience caused during this transition.
Regarding access on the day you visited, there was a temporary issue with the ANPR system which has since been resolved. We understand how frustrating this would have been, particularly when you needed access to your unit.
With regard to pricing, we regularly review our rates to ensure they remain competitive with the local market. Even following recent increases, our pricing remains significantly below that of many traditional self-storage providers offering similar-sized units.
We appreciate your custom and would be happy to review your account if you would like to discuss your concerns further with our team.

I first gave a 5 star feedback when I originally had the unit, as I would get an extra 2 weeks half price which was working out about £15 per week. However I’ve had it about 10 months now. The price increases are ridiculous. I’m now up to £55 per week. They say it’s based on markets etc, but after speaking to other people with units, the prices we are paying per week vary. Some are paying more than £55 per week! 2 price increases I had, I didn’t have notification that they were increasing. The site is not secure as the gate is always open. It is not lit at night. So while it’s all well and good and easy to sign up and get your unit and have 8 weeks discount (after leaving a review), it’s not all roses. This is Ystrad Mynach site.

We're pleased to hear that you were happy with the service when you first joined us, but we're sorry to hear that you are disappointed with the price increases.
Like many storage providers, we regularly review our pricing to ensure it remains in line with market rates. The price customers pay can vary depending on when they joined, promotional offers received, unit location, and previous pricing reviews. Even at £55 per week, our 20ft containers remain competitively priced, with many traditional self-storage providers charging considerably more for a similar amount of space.
We do send notifications of price increases to the email address registered on the account, although we appreciate that these can occasionally be missed.
Regarding security, the gate should not be left open outside of access requirements and we take any reports of this seriously. We are continually investing in site security across our locations and will ensure your comments regarding lighting and access are passed to the relevant team for review.
We appreciate your custom over the past 10 months and thank you for your feedback.
