Had to purchase replacement exhaust back box as previous item failed under warranty. Warranty process is far too long (currently 4 weeks and waiting with no resolution) with vehicle unusable during this time due to exhaust failure. E-mails go unanswered and need to call through every time I need to try to get an update.
Staff are friendly and helpful and cannot fault fast delivery. Would have been 5 stars if warranty process was not so slow.

After speaking with an agent and giving the registration of my vehicle I received parts for an urgent repair for my MOT. Upon receiving the parts they were clearly wrong, I ordered for a Mitsubishi and these were Mercedes stamped part, different size, length and needed. I started an email conversation asking for the part to be replaced at the cost of the company. Firstly I was totally dismissed as it being a customer error but after emailing they them 18 times with pictures of the wrong and picture of the correct parts (as I had to order from another motor factor due to Online automotives complete disregard that they were incorrect). Online automotive eventually and some what reluctantly admitted that they has review the phone log and they had used the incorrect registration. At this point I did not need the parts and asked for full refund including the additional shipping charge, after many more emails they sent a Royal Mail return slip and the postman dutifully picked up the package. I waited a number of week and emailed to find out if my refund has been issued.... No response, I had to email a further 10+ times before getting a definitive answer. That answer was sorry we dont have the returned parts so unless you have tracking for the parcel, nothing we can do !!! So in summary, they very unprofessionally fought with my that it was my fault the wrong parts were sent, until they checked their records and seen their error, have refused a refunded due to some issue in the return process they arrange and I completed. Never use them if you expect correct parts and them to honour their returns policy

If you request a refund it seems to be a problem with getting your money back.

Firstly this wasn’t slight distortion one of the exhaust pipes is bent and the box it arrived in was damaged !! and as the condition of my car is excellent why would I wish to put on a part that is physically damaged.
Secondly you talk about a goodwill payment. You are offering to refund the carriage which is £12ish. I don’t see this as goodwill it’s a no brainer as the product was damaged in transit, how is this goodwill!!
It would be far better if you just acted professionally as refunded accordingly as you web site says you would!!

Having bought an exhaust back box, it arrived damaged. Having spoken to Online about the damage I bought another the same day assuming that they would act professionally and allow me to return the damaged goods for a full refund. Having chased for 3 weeks I was amazed to receive an email that stated that they wouldn’t accept the exhaust back due to it being only Cosmetic damage and it wouldn’t effect performance and my mechanic could probably straighten it out. So now I am stuck with an extra damaged exhaust and being out of pocket. My advice would be if that is how they behave don’t buy from them as they obviously don’t understand their obligation under the sale of goods act !! Completely unprofessional approach to customer care.

Very helpful

I had a very bad experience with this company. Very bad customer service who are not very helpful. I sent in all evidence to prove the legitimate of the buyer, yet they refuse to post what I bought. I asked for a refund, this is taking over 5 days now and still not receive my refund.

Exhaust system not straight forward as
For a 37 year old car. Had problems getting from other suppliers but online Automotive got it right 👌.

Part was exact

I ordered new brake pads for my Audi. Unfortunately I didnt order the correct parts. The sales team at Online Automotive took the time to check the details of my vehicle and identified the correct parts. They called me to advise that the correct parts were being dispatched. Excellent service, thank you.

Placed my order, money was taken only to be told 'the compatible part is not yet available on the aftermarket'
Why is it on your website?
It is a part from 2015 so I imagine it is available on the aftermarket.
But fine, cancel my order and refund me.
Two weeks later, still no refund.
So you've had my money for two weeks and I have received neither goods nor services in that time. Disgraceful, money can be moved in seconds so there are no excuses for this.
