Raised a query about Mini 2 bought in 2002. Battery had expired. Even though well out of warranty, I was encouraged to apply for an exchange which I did. New Mini 3 was despatched by Nix via Amazon after a week or so. Pretty good customer service I think!
Ive had my nix mini 2 unused for a couple of years. It turns out if you run the battery down you can't charge it again which means it becomes useless.
I don't expect a device to be completely bricked simply because the battery has died.
This is a poorly made paperweight, don't buy.
Ive emailed Nix who have promptly ignored me, I expect they realise they have a broken and defective product.
I don't judge simply on product, but also by the way a company handles issues. This has failed every expectation.
AVOID WITH YOUR LIFE!
I emailed the customer service team and got a reply straight away. The problem with my nix product was battery related and they decided to replace and send out a new product - the later version too!! Email responses came back immediately and the new product was shipped the same day!
They told me that my order was delivered in my mailbox, but actually not and there is still no news about it.
I bought a Nix mini 2 sensor in August 2022. In April 2023 it stopped working and I've raised a warranty exchange request. Unfortunately there is no refund for the return cost and as I'm located in Germany, the freight would be about 1/3 of the original price, so it makes no sense to send it back. The company does not seem to care about this, so I highly recommend to buy the hardware at a local dealer, not via nixsensor.com.
