so far booking was easy however, I have yet to receive an order confirmation and details on how to find my driver/ mini us on the day, does anyone have an information on how and when this happens?

There was a group of 26 people wanting to go from Hartlepool to Sunderland to attend Let’s Rock the North East. We had booked this bus weeks in advance and it was all we could actually book as there was 3 other events happening around the same area on the same day so local taxis and buses were not an option unfortunately.

When we contacted the company to book this bus, they quoted us £780 altogether for 26 of us, and they wanted a £380 deposit. We collected our money from everyone and paid the deposit no problem at all.

All communication was done by email and we thought that once we paid we would be picked up on the day at the time we booked for and would pay the remaining balance as that was what we were told.

When the day and time arrived we went to the arranged meeting point and waited for the bus, but it never arrived. We booked for 9:30am and we had been trying to get in touch with the company from 9:45 to around 10:30 with them declining our calls, letting it ring through, saying user busy, etc.

We did call and get an answer from a Man called Dave Harris - he is the most rude and unprofessional person I have ever came across.

He accused us of not paying for our bus as when we stated we paid the money on the 31st July he told us there was no 31st July in the calendar (which there obviously is!) and he also stated that it is our responsibility to contact them when we have paid to confirm payment, we were never told this and why on earth should a professional and managed company like we thought this is need it’s customers to do a double check of payment??

We were still talking to him on the phone and he had found the deposit, but then said he never sent the bus because we hadn’t paid in full - well we were only asked for the deposit and weren’t told about paying the rest before we were told to pay on the day!

It gets even better as 3 people had spoken to him on the phone during the time we were on the phone and all 3 people were called names. One was called cocky and told she needs to calm down, another was called a R*tard and another was called a drunk and said she needs to get off the phone - it was 10:30 in the morning we hadn’t touched a drop of alcohol!

We will never use this service again! We had 26 people waiting excited to go to the festival and this bus let us down, they left us in the lurch, they are unprofessional and unreliable. We missed the festival in the end and the price of the bus was double what anyone else would’ve charged!

The only positive about this company is that we got a refund, none of us could believe it at all but I guess that makes the situation better - however the way that my friends were spoken to on the phone and the audacity of accusing us of not paying can not be made up for.

The one star has been given because I had to give a star, but also because he did in fact give us a refund.

I would recommend that you do not use this company!

The minibus we had was perfect for our group - we also got a text from Dave with the drivers number prior to the date of travel, we defiantly be using national minibus hire for my next journey. it was a smooth transaction from start to finish.

Don't trust them with your plans. We booked this 3 months before the event, 1 day before we got 3 calls from 3rd parties saying that they called them panicked because they left it too late to find one. Ended up spending out on 2 taxi's and loosing out on more money.

These guys were fantastic! Lots of communication, always picked up my calls, they had lovely clean coaches and the drivers were so lovely. I would definitely use them again no questions asked.

The national minibus hire team were extremely helpful when I used them to attend a wedding. I misplaced my phone on the bus on the return journey and they were incredibly helpful in returning it to me as quickly as they could. I couldn't be more
