We did see some initial participation, including event attendance, but not after you cancelled your attendance with us. We also made a few attempts to reach you by text and email to follow up, but weren’t able to connect.
Our introductions are designed to be ongoing and participatory, with matches and opportunities developing through continued involvement—something that also gives potential matches helpful insight into each other.
That said, we don’t step away from guests, and we’re always happy to support when someone is open to continuing. As part of our Cheeky Guarantee, we aim to keep things flexible and fair, and we’re always here to step in and make sure everything is handled properly.

Showed up—no event, no host, no notice
I attended a speed dating event at Civic Taproom on April 25 at the listed time, but there was no host, no participants, and no event taking place. The venue had no awareness of any event happening.
The listing still showed the event as active, and there was no clear or timely notice that it had been postponed. I only found out after reaching out myself.
When I contacted the organizer, I was directed to Eventbrite to request a refund rather than having the issue resolved directly.
This was frustrating and embarrassing after making the effort to attend. I would be cautious booking with this company.

Our records show that a notification was sent in advance confirming that this particular event would be removed from the schedule. We always ask guests to check their email before heading out, as occasional adjustments can happen, and we also encourage adding a phone number during booking so we can reach you quickly if anything changes last minute.
Regarding your ticket, while Eventbrite is your ticket provider, we are always happy to step in and help ensure a refund is granted. It’s part of our Cheeky Guarantee, and we’ve already stepped in to support your request so it’s properly followed through.

Cool Matching System, well-organized events
I liked the web-based platform for evaluating your potential matches after the event, it’s easy to understand and you get next day feedback/matches. It also takes the pressure off, as people don’t need to ask for contact info at the event. I like the variety of times, venues and age ranges that are offered too.

Going to my first speed dating…
Going to my first speed dating experience, I definitely expected some awkwardness. That wasn’t the case at all. Everyone who participated was engaged, I never felt like I was having the same conversation with each person. My only reason for taking one star away is because it wasn’t a cheap entry fee and yet it didn’t include at least one drink.

What you’re describing is actually pretty typical with in-person dating. Not every room is going to be a perfect fit, and sometimes it takes a couple of events before you meet someone you’d genuinely want to see again. That said, we’re glad to hear there were at least a couple of connections that stood out—that’s always a great sign.
Each event brings a different mix of people, and we do find that guests who attend a few times tend to have the most success as they get more comfortable with the format and meet a wider range of personalities.

We need more serious men.
I enjoy going to the events and typically have a good experience! However, I’ve matched with multiple guys who ended up telling me they’re actually not ready to date. It’s happened multiple times, which is frustrating. Maybe they just weren’t interested in me and didn’t want to hurt my feelings. I’m not sure. But it may be helpful to find a way to emphasize that the events are for people who are ready to date and potentially be in a relationship.

Keep Your Mind Open
I've used this company sporadically for the last few years but always end up coming back. You never know what you're going to get. I've had incredible nights where I made new friends with the other women there, one night where I met the love of my life, and other nights that were utterly forgettable. Cheekydate event in Austin…
I went on a Cheekydate event in Austin Tx, the organizer was there earlier and made sure that everyone was spread out in a way that all the participants had a great time. Someone didn't show up so I liked the break time so I could go to the restroom or get another drink. Overall it was a great experience

Nice, chill atmosphere. Background noise of location not disruptive and easy to hear the other person.
They now do the date ratings and selections online. It works well, though I kind of preferred and miss the paper cards.

So i'd never speed dated before... this being my first time I made sure to go in with an open mind. I had a great time!! The format seemed to fit me extremely well, the conversations were able to flow and I was able to meet some great women.
