RESTORING MY FAITH IN HUMAN KINDNESS
I had a brain bleed hemorrhage in April 2025 which is still ongoing (I was away last night to the Royal Infirmary in Glasgow Scotland for another one of those never ending MRI scans of my head), and I now have to wait for results to see if my brain has stopped bleeding yet. I have been keeping myself going by building up my ultimate pc and just before xmas I ran into a bit of trouble. I had spent between 6-7 hours that day wiring into my Corsair Obsidian 750D case all of my 16 hard drives and it was the single most difficult thing I had ever attempted. I finally finished it and after a long rest, I switched on only to find the psu was dead. I was distraught. I contacted scan.co.uk (where I got my Montech Century II from) and was horrified when the support staff told me I would have to return not only the psu but I would have to strip out all the cables "as it could be a faulty cable". However I had already applied the paper clip test to the psu and explained to them that the support agent had told me to do this to verify whether it was the psu itself or perhaps a faulty cable. (more chance of winning the euro millions than that). They were having none of it and forced me into returning the cables. I reached out to Montech not expecting to hear anything back and the next day they told me they were sending me a new psu. I couldn't believe it, I thought maybe they might contact Scan and tell them it was ok to let me keep my cables inside the build and just replace the box, but they sent me a complete new PSU. I was almost in tears at their compassion and generosity, I am very mentally fragile at the moment because of my medical condition (Google gave me a month to live last year). This is the single most generous act I have ever known from ANY company I have ever dealt with (I am a 66 year old OAP) and I think the world should know about it. As for Scan computers in the United Kingdom.......trustpilot here I come.......
