I made my first order from Mifsuds photographic this week and i am very very impressed with the service i received and i highly recommend them.

I've just received my purchase of a Vanguard VEO 2GO 265CB tripod +VEO GO 34M BK Capture kit from Mifsuds Photographic in Brixham, Devon. It came early and in perfect condition. I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase and it was at an extremely good price and brand new UK stock.

I am very impressed with Mifsuds Photographic. I emailed Matt a few times with questions about it before buying and he responded straight away. He even sent me an email to say "I'm glad your sorted", once I had bought the item.

I have no previous experience with them and I am always a bit concerned about buying anything over the web from a Company I don't know, even if it's at such a good price. Seeing their name through ebay a few times before and reading good reviews about them, and Matt responding by email, I thought the price was so good I couldn't pass up this opportunity to buy what I had been looking for. I didn't expect to get the great deal I got, and as I say, it came early. I would not hesitate to buy from them again.

I've been a customer of Mifsuds for probably 15 years.

From my first encounter with them they have been nothing but helpful and professional.
Yes, sometimes their prices are at the top end of full retail, but you have to expect that. They have staff to pay and ever spiralling business rates to cover. They ARE a business after all. If the only driver for you is price then that's your choice, I would rather support someone who has gone out of their way to make my buying experience the best it can be.
This has been shown many times over the years, from re-opening the shop after they had finished for the day because I got stuck in traffic, to the many cups of tea you get offered while in the shop all the way to the surprise extras you sometimes get in your orders.

There will always be misunderstandings and some sales that don't end well, that's just the nature of retail.
In my experience I have never had a bad interaction with Matt or any of his team, they have always gone above and beyond. Even with my latest order, they managed to call the courier to come back and pick up another lens I had forgotten to put on my original order.
Independant retailers need our support now more than ever. None of the advice, support, freebies or cups of tea would have come from Amazon.

My first experience dealing with Mifsuds was in 2012 when I part exchanged my Canon 500mm F/4 L IS Mk I for a new Mk ll. Over the past 8 years I have regularly changed/updated equipment and have always received the best possible treatment and deal. A trip to Mifsuds family run shop in Brixham, Devon is a delight - one is made to feel very welcome and ‘special’ by Matt and his staff. Try it - you won’t be disappointed.

I have just sold a Canon 500f4 mk 2 to Mifsuds. Communications throughout were excellent and the price was very fair, much better than I was offered elsewhere. Yes, I probably would have got slightly more selling privately, but I didn't want the hassle. Payment was very quick indeed. Highly recommended.

Sometimes in the course of a transaction, wires can get crossed. This happened with Mifsud. I saw something that I wanted on eBay, a Canon device where sometimes the two parts get separated and sold separately. On the photos it looked like both parts were included but there was no mention in the description. I sent a question but in the meantime I decided to buy it. Then the answer came back saying it was only one part, not both, so the sale was cancelled. When I looked again it was back on sale, both parts, but at a higher price, I wasn’t happy.

I contacted Mifsud and I have to say they couldn’t have handled it better. There was no hesitation in them honouring the original price, not only that they upgraded the included 2nd class postage to DPD and included a mystery gift, which turned out to be a rather interesting book worth as much as the gadget I bought. Plus the gadget is in mint condition and came with the original box and instructions.

We all make mistakes, the test is in what we do to put them right, and in this instance Mifsud went the extra mile and did everything right, they dealt with a difficult situation to arrive at a perfect outcome. I am very impressed.

Have just had the staff there spend half an hour to help me set up the wifi connection to my smart phone. Very helpful. That is why I get my equipment from them. You do not get that friendly,helpful service at Amazon.

I had a Canon 500mm lens to sell and Mifsuds offered me the best price for my item. After exchanging numerous emails with Matt who answered all of my questions and concerns quickly and professionally, I dropped the lens off in person. Staff inside the shop were friendly and there was no haggling or backtracking on the price. Service was excellent throughout and the cash was in my account the following day. At no time did I feel pressured to sell the lens which is more than I can say for a couple of other companies with whom I asked for quotes. Well done Mifsuds, great service all round, highly recommended and I hope to deal with them again in the future.

I was interested in an item that Mifsuds had for sale at £1250 through their eBay shop.
I asked two questions via the message service which were promptly answered.
I then messaged an offer of £1205 for the item.
On getting no reply I checked to see if the item was still for sale - it was - but to my astonishment they had increased the price by over 35% to £1699.
I never did get the courtesy of a reply or explanation.
Poor customer service, would not consider them again.

I recently purchased a used Canon 500mm from Mifsuds, trading in part exchange one of my own lens. Communication was first rate and the price offered for my lens (based on my own initial assessment and checked by Mifsuds on arrival) was confirmed without issue. I received the lens I purchased next day on a timed delivery. I am happy that the price I paid was reasonable for some very decent kit. It was certainly one of the most easiest transactions I have made and I will most definitely be looking to them should I consider any further equipment purchases.

Ordered a pre used battery Grip at a competitive price on a Thursday lunchtime and with the free delivery arrived the next day, excellent service.Will not hesitate to use again.

I've used Mifsuds for 33 years in person, and even longer by mail order, and have never had anything but great service. My latest transaction was purchasing a Samyang 14mm AF lens this week. Through a series of emails with Matt, we came to a mutually-agreeable trade-in price before he placed an order with the importers. I was pleased to get another email just two days later saying that the lens had arrived, so I made arrangements to call in and collect it. Everything went smoothly, even though the shop was quite busy. While browsing around I noticed a used Nikon teleconverter and enquired about the price and a possible part-ex. Matt immediately offered a free loan of the TC over this weekend so that I can check it out with my 500mm Nikkor. That's what I call service, and I'm now just hoping for some better weather!

I am an elderly man with a serious progressive spinal disability. I am now unable to get around any distance without an electric wheelchair. Therefore i can no longer pursue landscape photography. I needed to sell all my kit as a job lot. I really couldn't be bothered to go either the private sale nor the Ebay route. I sent a list of all my gear to three well known camera businesses. The best reaction and price was from Mifsuds. They were happy to include all the little filters etc unlike the other two firms who just wanted to 'cherry pick' the good items. Matt arranged to collect the goods and the following day having checked them confirmed the price and paid the money into my bank account. I was kept informed the whole way through the process. A fair price and a straightforward transaction.

Excellent service.
Bought a Sigma 150-600mm sports lens December 2017. Due a contract not coming to fruition Mifsuds agreed to buy it back. I sent it through Royal Mail. It arrived next day.
Matt at Mifsuds got in touch and the price agreed. The money was in my bank next day.

I also left my tripod block on the lens, this was returned within a week free of charge.

I recently rang Mifsuds for some advice about fitting a cable release to a little camera gadget that I had (I phoned as I live quite far away from the shop). They were so knowledgeable and helpful, and even posted me several different cable releases to try out...one fits perfectly. Possibly some of the best customer service I have ever received! Highly recommended

I have used Mifsuds since 1986. I still use them today. They remain approachable and honestly describe their goods (used). This week I enjoyed an awesome deal on a mint used Nikon D4 plus the impossible to get Nikon 180mm F2.8 lens, easily one of Nikon's finest. If you are a working professional, which I am, personable service is just as paramount as price. I have always found Mifsuds to be THE best choice for professionals and despite plenty of young on-line pretenders they remain at the top of their game. Ok shopping on eBay can harvest cheap prices. However, in the professional domain, workhorse cameras/lenses and flashguns are rarely found accurately described and of course with no guarantees. My advice is simple, stick to trustworthy shops that know what they are talking about.
